::NTC: Outdoor applications of Wi-Fi open to all

The Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has opposed proposals of telecommunication companies (such as Globe Telecom, Bayantel, and even utility firm Manila Electric Co.) to limit the use of "outdoor" wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) equipment to authorized public telecommunications entities.

According to NTC deputy commissioner Jorge Sarmiento, private organizations should have equal access to such technologies. Full Details at Inq7.com
