Apologies for your problems with the BlogShares info not being updated, I fear that Rayner's plugin is not to blame, but a newly instigated caching system on the RSS feeds. It was put in place to reduce load on the database, specifically from the Top ??? lists that are asked for thousands of times a day.

However, for user, portfolio or a single blogs' information, it should not be caching. I'll be looking into this, and I'm sure we'll have a solution in the next day or two. Worst case, it may be set to cache the shares info for at least a couple of minutes, 'cause if a couple of thousand unique visitors hit up a particular blog per day that uses the plugin, that's the same couple of thousand hitting up the BlogShares database for info, x2 for both the shares & user info. :-/

In fairness with David Raynes, he replied to my comment immediately after I posted it on his site. And David wrote:

"The information provided by the MTBlogShares plugin is only gathered during rebuilds. How many times was the page with the details rebuilt?"

It was my mistake not to mention about this on this blog. Also, I'm having problem with movable type page and template rebuild, not to mention that my PC is infected with virus (I guess).
