::National Flag Day

Friday, May 28, 2004

Today, May 28th, is our National Flag Day!

Surprised? If I haven't seen it over GMA7's 24 Oras Local News, I wouldn't know about it.

Lina instructed local officials in his memorandum to lead their constituents in observing the National Flag Day as part of the 106th Philippine Independence Day celebrations with the theme "Galing ng Pilipino sa Matatag na Republika." READ MORE

butterfly Let me know you were here, your thoughts are welcome!

Thank God he is in Riyadh and not involved in this mess over in Khobar. We are kind of happy here as my Nieghbor is coming home from Iraq tomorrow, and my son's ship, USS Fletcher pulls in on June 3rd. As far as the family goes things are going ok even though the wife's e-coli has caused some liver damage. She can't eat a lot of her favorite foods any more and she can't put salt on anything and that is really killing her because she uses salt on everything. At least it didn't kill her and we thank god for that. The case is over except for the closing arguements so we sould be able to decide on the case by the end of the week. I'll tell you all about it after we are done. I will not feel bad in any way with the way I go on this one now though, because I have seen the face of true evil with this guy. There is no excuse for what this animal did to 10 people, one his own sister, and three of these people are dead now. I just know I will never get the pictures of the crime scenes out of my head for the rest of my life. Anyway, I look forward to you getting your DSL, actually not having it has made you a very wealthy blogshares player. I think sometimes I have been selling things a little early right now. You have been having to pretty much hold on to everything and are climbing that ladder. Again I thnk god that your son is safe, and the violence that happens over there confirms my beliefs, that while a lot of people don't believe in what the US is doing in Iraq and Afghanistan, it is something that must be taken care of before these escalate the terror. They have hijacked their religion and are killing folks just because they are either Christian or Jewish. This whole situation needs to be shut down for the good of people in all countries, and I am proud that the US has taken the lead. I have just heard on the news that the guys in Khobar are being arrested and the hostages freed, and that is great news. Well I guess that is about it for tonight. You have a great day and we'll type at you again tomorrow.

Thank you for the news link, Randy. I have read the article even my son is in Riyadh. It's unfortunate terrorism entered Saudi Arabia in disguise to dominate the world at the expense of lives of innocent people...

Hope all is well with you and the family. How's the jury stuff going?

Happy Flag Day. I don't know if you have seen this. I left it for you over on the blogshares forum. As soon as I heard about it on the news I immediately thought about your son being in Saudi Arabia and I hope he isn't in Khobar. Here is a link to the story: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,121282,00.html

I guess Al Qaeda has killed 10 and taken 54 people hostage in Khobar. We hope and pray here that your son isn't in Khobar and that if he was in Khobar that he is safe. I just figured I let you know what I have heard in case it hadn't hit the news there. Let me know if he's safe.
