I thought you already had one, because it was you sending me an Orkut invite. :)
I was even going to suggest you to gift your contestants with invites. As soon as they are available again, I will send one ok? Just let me know where you want to receive it. It may even be possible that you could gift them yourself to them.

Hey! You should give me gmail invite, too!

I posted that I might give gmail invitation should you confirm this matter to me... I hope it will add more fun to the contest.

Thank you for being supportive...

Laila, as an extra incentive and to spice up your contest, I will send a gmail invitation to all your winners.

In the 200 billions contest only 4 players have participated. Even in the rare artefact only 3 I think, have participated. And all other ones were limited to 1, or 2 players...so don't be disapointed. BS is a lot less known than most people think.

Posted by: Afonso on July 4, 2004 05:50 PM

I hope so, Afonso.

Yesterday, I invited pinoy bloggers at Yahoo Groups to join in my contest, whether they are blogshares players or not. However, since it's weekend, maybe few of them were able to read my post.

I believe many Filipino bloggers didn't know that their blogs are listed on blogshares fantasy share market.

That's very generous and courageous of you Laila. You should trust more in your B$ game skills and expertise. You have multiplied the 200 billions, several times. And even if you don't have to prove nothing to the rest of them, they will certainly respect you even further. Especially to all the cheaters around...
I sincerely hope that 5 players come up with 5 well-written posts about the current political situation in PH.

Posted by: Afonso on July 4, 2004 12:23 AM

I already posted for possible prize adjustment to B$ 1 Trillion and it's confirmation will be posted at BS Forum within the contest period.

Posted by: Laila* on July 4, 2004 12:01 AM

It was just an ideia Laila...You know I always cared little about my B$ wealth. But it would be fun to watch 5 players reach the top thanks to your generosity. And there's the challenge of trying again from almost zero. But if you do that, don't forget. Be careful to choose honest players, that are willing to play fairly. Also, instead of just one poast about Philippines you could end with 5 well-written posts.

And yes, its kind of sad. Not because I can't play, but because BS seems to have been hijacked by its current owners. Not to mention it's a clear discrimination.

Posted by: Afonso on July 3, 2004 11:34 PM

I am very sorry really to know that you cannot play again on BlogShares, Afonso. Let me decide soon whether I will give away 1 Trillion to make the blogging contest more fun and challenging...

Posted by: Laila* on July 3, 2004 11:16 PM

500 billions, not millions.

Posted by: Afonso on July 3, 2004 10:16 PM

What other players have been affected? Aside from you and Morgaine?

I can't join Laila...I am not even allowed to play BS.

Why don't you give away 1 trillion divided in 2 prizes of 500 millions? But, and there's a but, I would ask for a very well written post. After all it's not everyday you're given so much millions.

Or,

I would give away the 5 trillions divided in prizes of 1 trillion each, and start all over. Would you have the guts to do it? With your artefacts and game knowledge you would still have an advantage. In 2-3 months you would probably be at the top again.

P.S.:
Be very careful before you choose the lucky winner(s). Don't be fooled by the appearences. Watch their transactions history, honesty, the way they behave in the forums...etc. Take the time to read their blogs...

Regards,

Hey, Afonso, that's what I had thought at first but, since even Morgaine and the rest had posting difficulty lately, it's probably a bug, effected by code changes...

Wish I know programming, so that I could assist but, you know, playing is easier than fixing bugs!

You are welcome to join in my contest. I am thinking of adjusting the prize to B$ 400 Billion. What do you think?

Posted by: Laila* on July 3, 2004 10:46 AM

Maybe BS should apply the freedom patch to correct that bug?

Posted by: Afonso on July 3, 2004 07:55 AM

It's all ok :)

Interesting Laila. Very interesting...Must be a bug. An irritating bug that insists on censoring some player's news releases...

Posted by: Afonso on July 3, 2004 07:53 AM

Hello, Afonso, how's life?

Morgaine and the rest of us had difficulty posting News at BS News page. Very few were able to make it. At least, RWO and Rutty helped me post the contest, 'though Randy was not able to repost...

Posted by: Laila* on July 3, 2004 12:02 AM

Hello Laila ;)

How's everything?

Hope you're lucky with the contest. I am just curious about something. Why are you unable to post press releases??? That's a premium membership feature...I don't want to believe that they blocked you that feature.

Regards,
