BS October 2004 Portfolio

Tuesday, November 02, 2004

October wasn't a good month when it comes to communication with fellow BS players. It made me feel real bad when few players abused industry voting rights either with the use of a bot or indiscrimately made blind voting to collect karma and chips. Although I formally made my complaint, it appeared I was just a laughing stock for democratically airing my observation. And because I feel there's discrimination in the forum, I avoided the forum and dedicated instead most of my time trading. It helps, though, because I am now at rank 2. MLT, who was at rank 2 last month, was too kind to offer me 20T from his holdings since he's not playing like he used to but, I told him to keep his B$ until he will find time again to play like before...

So here is the summary of my portfolio for the month of October 2004:

Through Macky's (top 1 richest player) recommendations, I was added on the 23rd of October to the noteworthy personalities on BlogShares' Who's Who, being third player on BS Elite list. And, by the way, congratulations to my dear buddy, Randy a.k.a RWO, for being at top 4 on Richest 100 Players List.

butterfly Let me know you were here, your thoughts are welcome!

It's only a game, Afonso, there's nothing to envy about my wealth. Those were the products of playing 20/7. If they can invest their time like I did, they will definitely have the same fortunes...

Bots? Give me one and I will let that bot clean my house, do grocery shopping, and cook meals for the kids :-)

From all that Randy has said, I would underline "Everyone is trying to figure out how we cheated and can't believe we got where we are by not cheating."

There's nothing more irritating to a cheater than watching a skilled person get what they want without cheating. So, next time someone accuses you of cheating, that's ENVY.

P.S.: Just be careful of carpal tunnel syndrome. Serious, talking for myself.

That's very touching message, Randy. Thank you for making me feel a valuable friend to you... what can I say? Without our team work, I wouldn't have been on this level.

Thank you, my friend, for being very supportive, as ALWAYS...

Hard work and dedication has paid off. You have earned this spot in the standing by creativity, working with others to their benefit, and by not cheating. I have the utmost respect for you playing style, and have to thank you dearly for assisting me in reaching number four. You are a true friend and a generous person that I want to see on top of the pyramid. Keep playing the way you do, keep helping the newbees, and keep being yourself. You are the best friend I have in the game and I feel we together have taken the game to new levels. Everyone is trying to figure out how we cheated and can't believe we got where we are by not cheating. And then besides that we have established an effective charity to take care of the underprivleged in the world. Keep it up girl and I would really like to thank you for calling me on the carpet last year over my agressive play. It made me realize that people who play the game are effected by your actions while you are playing. As a result of playing good play, I have made more gains than I would have made had I continued playing the way I had been playing. I have you to thank for that. So as we move up in the standings I have to thank you for helping me move up in the standings and my new found wealth. Congratulations on making number two and I expect to see you in the top spot in a couple of months. An again thanks for carrying on you coattails as I am moving along with you.
