::Xoom Money Transfer

Tuesday, November 23, 2004

Even Randy was so tired yesterday from the eBay auction, he was able to pay ladylaila.net's domain and webhosting fees via PayPal. That made Alvino the indirect sponsor of this blog!

Then, he sent the rest of the money using XOOM.COM, the easiest way to send money to the Philippines. Xoom.com uses PayPal to process the transaction and securely sends the money to Equitable-PCI Bank, the bank of the controversial Jose Pidal.

I then picked up the money this morning and open an account with them for my future online transactions. Jessie M. Borlaza was the one who assisted me well. Claiming the money was easy. I presented my passport and driver's license for identification purposes, Xoom Tracking Number XPH-63876-85690.

Those who want to send money to the Philippines, the details you need are:

Recipient First Name:
Recipient Last Name:
Recipient Address Line 1:
Recipient Address Line 2:
Recipient City:
Recipient Country: PH
Recipient Phone:

After sending the money, advise your recipient the Xoom Tracking Number and the secret word and/or better forward the e-mail from PayPal with subject line: Your Xoom Money Transfer Has Been Processed For Pickup. It is important to take note of the location code of the bank where the money is being sent since Equitable-PCIBank has over 400 branches nationwide.

butterfly Let me know you were here, your thoughts are welcome!

Recently I had done a trnsaction using xoom to India. It is okay as long as you dont have any problems, but once you end up in a situation where you need some assisatnce from the customer support team. it really sucks. The live chat person doesnt seem to really know anything about your transactions and doesnt know how to talk neatly (not at all polite )and the verification team whom I had to write mails doesnt solve any of your problems. Experience it !!!

I got it working too.

I am now a xoom.com agent. You don't have to use it... just be an online referrer and earn yourself US$25 for every successful referral :-)

Hmm so you've used XOOM. I saw that before but was hesitant to try it as I hadn't seen anyone else use it...
