After my daughter had her lunch, she told me she wanted to buy some books and we accompanied her to SM North EDSA. We passed by at Smart Wireless Center first and bought eLoad for my eldest son in Riyadh.

Abenson Appliance Center was just adjascent to Smart outlet so I had my chance to come closer and listen to the beautiful video concert of Celine Dion playing in SONY DHC-FLX5DSW Home Theater system. I was fascinated with its Cinema Sound feature and after couple of demos by friendly sales men, I was disappointed upon learning its selling price was PHP 39,900.00 (Flat screen TV not included)! Kids were patiently watching silently. I looked at them with guilt.

With a bitter smile, I asked for the product brochure and left the place to buy the book. No matter how much I wanted to buy stuffs I liked, I do not have the freedom to do so. My priority right now is to send the children to college, that's my vow to God for the life extension I'm enjoying...

Well Laila,
It is always nice to have a goal in life and this looks like your new one. Perhaps if you are able to buy it a piece at a time and build it gradually.

I agree that it is more important to take care of your children's college first. That is a parents first priority. I really think your childrew have a good life as you look at them first and your desires second. I hope they remember that when they are older.

I wish I had a parent like you when I was growing up, but we can never select what family we have been assigned to from the man above. While you are a single mother, from what I have seen you are doing great job with what little you have and you should be commended for that.

Perhaps as your children take thier college educations on the road and get out on thier own, they make thank you when they are making all the big money from what education you were able to give them, by making this home entertainment center dream come true.

Then again you may meet some single rich gentleman that would purchase it out of his love for you.

You are a good person that looks out for others before your own needs. God recognizes that and though he takes his time sometimes, he makes dreams come true.
