::Free iPod 40GB

Friday, January 14, 2005

Have you ever encounter this advertisement line while surfing: "Don't Miss Out on a Free iPod. Sign Up for Your iPod Today."???

What's the deal? All you have to do is follow their participation requirements and terms and conditions which involves signing up for certain sponsor offers and completing a marketing offer survey. How do I know about this? Michael contacted me this morning by e-mail and asked permission whether he can send me money thru XOOM. Surprisingly, I asked couple of questions until I found out he has to complete the signup procedure at Incentive Reward Center. Whether this is legitimate or not, only those who have registered know the answer.

After we exchanged words, I realized he found me through Google Search and he's a fellow player on Blogshares. Trust established, he completed the XOOM transaction and I bought 1 share of Jesus Tribe for B$ 1Trillion...

Excerpts from Jesus Tribe's Jumping thru hoops for iPod:

THis is going to be harder than I thought. THe UK money has to be sent thru a Barclays bank account. THat leaves me with the Philippines. Now I just have to find someone in the UK with a Barclays bank account or a blogger in the Philippines that can pick up some money at an Equitable PCI Bank. This is becoming quite an adventure in websurfing. Looking for the right person. Maybe it will be just the right person that needed the money. I bet thats how it turns out.

butterfly Let me know you were here, your thoughts are welcome!

I'm quite confused about the whole thing that you are discussing here. What is it all about? Have you been scammed?

hi. found your site through google. there are many companies offering free ipods out there and sorry to say, the majority of them are scams. there are two legitamate ones on the web, www.freeipods.com (great customer service) and citibank. the mistake people make after they hear about how a friend of a friend got their ipods is trust any pop up about a free ipod they see on the web. these bogus sites like Incentive Rewards Center damage the reputations of legitamate sites like freeipods.com who work really hard to maintain their credibility. anyway, i had a great experience though freeipods.com, and i wish everyone luck on getting one.

Can't help you on that one, Michael. If you want your cash back, I can send it to you.

And I hope, the one Bernard mentioned was the same stuffs you joined in. When I googled Free iPod 40 GB, I didn't see any fraud alert warning online users. Guess, many online companies just want to spread their online presence and giving away stuffs for free in exchange of your membership is definitely a good marketing strategy.

Goodluck, anyway. :-)

Hey Laila~
Michael Paul here. Saw your banner while surfing BE. And of course I know where you are anyway. As far as the free iPod goes...I'm just not sure yet if its legit or not. I'm starting to feel kinda guilty after our talk yesterday. Spending money on something so extravagant when it could go to better causes. Its to late now and I just have to wait and see.

I laugh everytime I think of all the money I have in BS now. Never thought I would see that kinda cash. I still haven't spent any. Just waiting till I have some time to play.

Benard I hope this is the same free offer that your friends joined. I"m starting to get a little worried. Of course its only been a few days. I need to have a little patience and give it a few months to pan out.

Blessings to you both.

I have a few co-workers who have signed up for this and actually have received their free i-pod. The catch is simple: the requirements include signing up for things like credit cards (which you have to be approved for, and you must use for a certain amount of time). It also requires things like magazine subscriptions, book clubs and music clubs.

You also have to have five people you know do the same. After all said and done, it is cheaper to buy the ipod than go thought he hassle involved with completing all the requirements for the ipod.

Thanks

Bernard
