::Flash Course - Day 1

Wednesday, March 30, 2005

It was past 3:00 in the afternoon when I arrived in Informatics Computer Institute. I settled first the course fee before I went to the assigned room. I was told we're 10 trainees on this March 30th Batch. Not bad, I had thought.

As expected, since I was late, I got the farthest seat. And not only that, I didn't have the keyboard and mouse. We started the lecture only after CPU, keyboard and mouse were connected to the monitor. Before the technician left, he told me the password was "password". To my dismay, it didn't worked! So, we called again the technician to connect it for me.

Well, my fellow attendees are all kids, even younger than my children. I must admit I was the slowest one in the class. Couple of boys have advance knowledge in Flash MX 2004, I just didn't know why they still have to attend the class.

Today, Melch Valimento, our flash instructor described to us the Flash MX panel's tools, the property inspector features, and all the flash interfaces. As part of the exercise, we created some vector graphics using different tools and colors. This bore me because I know how to use those tools, since I used JASC PaintShop Pro.

After signing our attendance sheet, the class was dismissed at 6:00 p.m.
