Borderline Extortion

Wednesday, April 27, 2005

A Forum Admin believes 18000 chips was a borderline extortion against my initiative when I upgraded player 27964's account to BLOGSHARES PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP and paid US$15.00 through PnP's Paypal account. I advised 27964 to pay 18000 chips to PnP (after 30 days) which is currently valued at B$450B at B$25M per chip exchange rate and has eBay auction value of less than US$3.00. To my surprise, 27964 refused to accept to 'work off 18000 chips' and many find an opportunity to make things worse instead of educating the newbie that it was the usual on-going rate to help a newbie have a premium account.

The worst, I was humiliated once again in the IRC. I want nothing from player 27964. If he wants to pay 18000 chips to PnP or not, we could have given the membership for free but, not to such an ungrateful soul. Anyway, many thanks to Jay, the BlogShares owner, for extending my premium account until 11 March 2007 and to Just James in protecting my interest.

I was just wondering why do some people cannot appreciate the spirit of kindness and generosity?

butterfly Let me know you were here, your thoughts are welcome!

Wow. I looked at the forum and did not feel it was extortion. I guess some see that differently though.

Hello, H. Jackson,

First, thank you for dropping by and leaving a comment in my blog.

It was just a pity few real funky minds were lurking at the BlogShares Forum hitting those whom they believe DO NOT SPEAK their language OR should I say, belong to a different race?

BlogShares is such an interesting game and players will enjoy playing there provided they will avoid the FORUM.

Envy is such an interesting emotion. You dislike someone because they have what you so want. You seek to bring them down so that they are equal to you, rather than learning from them to improve yourself. It speaks fundamentally of a person's inability to be creative when destruction is so much easier, and their failure to grasp how we all benefit from the qualities of individuals.

Thank you for the kind words, Kitty and Randy. I hope Jay will handle those mean admins accordingly.

They are destroying the game by driving away players. Aren't they are glad we still around in spite of few rude people dominating the Forum?

Dearest Laila, I am sorry you were treated so poorly in trying to help someone. You have been so kind to me and others. You do not deserve to be treated this way. Indeed, no one deserves to be treatd this way and I have recently noticed that there are some hotheads on BlogShares. I try to keep my distance from them but occasionally that is not possible.
I just helped my daugher sign up for a Neopet, Nimo, or something like that. She is all signed up under Koolliz05 but as a Senior and with finals getting closer she had to go back to studying. I'm sure she'll be back on has soon as the finals are over.
Take care and although you don't need B$ or probably much of anything in BlogShares, I am a good listener and would be happy to help you in anyway possible. God bless, Kitty

I saw some of the comments. It seems many in the Admins function would rather be insulting and unfriendly than work for the good of the game. I have known you, PNP and myself to all be generous folks that have bought many Premium Memberships for new folks. If this is the way you get treated by the Admins, for attempting to do something nice for someone, then it is time to be less charitable. Yeah, there was a misunderstanding, but the way you were treated on the IRC and by the Admins especially is deplorable. I believe Jay needs to seriously look at the types of people and what these people are saying to the players of the game. This is just one more reason that I don't play blogshares every day any more.

It's unfortunate some BS people love to divide players than to resolve misunderstanding.

Envy is a disgusting feeling, and many showed it.

Keep going: no matter how your standing (and other's...) irate their xenophobic side, typical of rural, uneducated, uncivilized people (a wrong sample of real USA geeks).

Jay deserves better elements in BlogShares Adm...
