::Forgiving and Compassionate

Sunday, February 12, 2006

Mother and I arrived 10 minutes earlier in Sto. Niño Chapel and I was able to light 3 candles and prayed.

Today is the sixth Sunday in ordinary time and today's homily is about God, who is forgiving and compassionate. FR. Rocco Viviano, an Italian Xaverian priest, said the mass in Tagalog using Sambuhay's missalette: Mapagpatawad at Maawain Ang Diyos (God is forgiving and compassionate).

Today's LITURGY OF THE WORD:

  • First Reading [Lv 13:1-2, 44-46] (Sit): The passage from Leviticus describes how the Israelites dealt with a person stricken with leprosy. Their fear and abhorrence of this disease serve as the background for the Gospel story of Jesus' encounter with a leper.
  • Second Reading (1 Cor 10:31-11:1): Paul reminds us Christians to be always mindful of God in our lives. Whatever we do must be done for God's glory.

When we arrived home, I recited the rosary before doing other tasks. I have many things to thank God for, and one of them is my potential soulmate's existence in our lives. He's very ideal and perfect based on my standard.

butterfly Let me know you were here, your thoughts are welcome!

I have to get you all freed up so we can spend the rest of our years togther, both here and beyond. I am sorry you have to go through all the hassles of the three cases, but I will spend the rest of my life trying to make up for those wrongs done to you, by doing things right.

Resolving the three cases give me hopes that I will be a new person soon. Thank you for making these things possible.

I'd thought I will remain on a dead end corner of my life. You gave me hope to carry on!

Ah, we had the same readings, but our priest was a Filipino, with a heavy accent. Our readings were the same and our Gospel was Mark I:40-45. Our message was: What is your leprosy? What hold you back from participating more fully in your primary relationships, your family, your neighborhood, your work place, your religous community, etc. How can you be made clean; how can you open yourself up to our Lord's healing touch?

Anyway Mass made me feel good and I came home and got a few things done around the house. I was glad that we ate together on the net though you eat breakfast while I eat dinner. I will miss being with you on Valentine's Day but we will have a nice chat.

I am glad that I am still pleasing you and you are perfect in my life too. I can't wait for my next visit. I miss your lips, touch, and feel. I am glad time is passing quickly and that we have managed to get the ball rolling on our paperwork problems.

I will always be here for you. Love you.
