First Communion

I had a wonderful sleep, woke up on time and attended Sunday mass with mother. We're slow going down the stairs due to my knee injury. Everyone's ready for the mass when we arrived but, I lighted three candles first before taking my seat.
Today is the 4th Sunday of Lent and FR. Rocco Viviano said the mass again in Tagalog using Sambuhay's missalette: Tagumpay Niya mula sa Krus. Gladly, I received my first communion (this year) after I had my confession last Sunday.
Today's LITURGY OF THE WORD (pasensya na at wala akong english copy):
- First Reading 2 Chr 36:14-16, 19-23: Dahil sa kanilang mga pagkakasala, itinaboy sa Babilonia ang sambayanan ng katimugang bahagi ng kaharian ng Juda. Nang maluklok si Haring Ciro, ginamit siyang Diyos upang hayaan nang bumalik ang mga Israelita sa kanilang bayan.
- Second Reading Eph 2:4-10: Sinasabi ni Pablo na hindi nagmumula sa ating sariling kakayahan ang kaligtasan at pag-asa. Ang mga ito ay mula sa biyaya at awa ng Diyos. Sa kabila ng ating mga kasalanan, pinatawad tayo ng Diyos at kangyang siinugo si Jesus upang ihatid ang liwanag at kaligtasan para sa lahat.

Let me know you were here, your thoughts are welcome!Hearing the Sunday mass in a nearby chapel at 7 am is perfect except that you will not understand Tagalog. Let me see if I can find an english mass in other parish... the most important thing is we'll be together in attending Sunday mass while you are in Manila.

Going to be interesting attending mass in Tagalog when I visit in a couple of weeks. Anyhow, we'll figure it out.
