::Paul Denise is back

Saturday, June 03, 2006

Paul Denise is back this evening from his vacation in my elder sister's house after I convinced him that DSL broadband internet speed had been restored since yesterday morning.

Speaking of DSL, I talked with a certain Jo when I called PLDT 171 Hotline early this morning, and I asked for rebates covering the period from May 19 up to June 1. I mentioned to her my sentiments about their lousy tech support service, the poor bandwidth speed I was getting after they upgraded my account, and the corrupt DSL staffs who allegedly were selling extra accounts and passwords to subscribers of Plan 999. She was surprised with what I said but I gave her the link of pinoydsl.com and find out for herself what other DSL subscribers were talking about the PLDT company she's working for. I also asked her what bandwidth I am supposed to get if my plan has been upgraded to 2 mbps. Ever since I subscribed for their DSL service two years ago, I had been getting 500 kbps and below. Now that they upgraded my account, the agony of 4 kbps bandwidth speed everyday for two weeks gave me and Randy hard time running skype and webcam. PLDT VIBE dialup internet helped me communicate with Randy, retrieved mails, and do some Blogshares thingy but, not Neopets. Also, I told her that we had lost some important calls because I disabled calling waiting to have continuous internet connection.

Anyway, Jojo was with Paul Denise when they arrived home. He sang few videoke songs while my boys played their R.O.S.E. (Rush On Seven Episodes) game. Mama and I were busy in the kitchen preparing dinner. She cooked pork adobo and I fried chicken tempura. The dinner was good and I feel better now that my son is back at home.

butterfly Let me know you were here, your thoughts are welcome!

Dear Ms. Laila,

First of all, allow me to introduce myself. I am Rey Joble, assistant sports editor of People's Tonight and graduate of Judge Juan Luna High School in 1992. Our batch will be celebrating its 15th year anniversary in 2007 and me and some of our college buddies are thinking of having a reunion. But since Judge Juan Luna High School will be celebrating its 40th anniversary at the same year, we decided that it wopuld be better for us to come up with a grand reunion homecoming just what we did 15 years ago when our group, months after graduation, where tasked by the elder batches to be part of the organizer 25th anniversary of the school. We also believe that by organizing a grand alumni homecoming in 2007, with our batch as host, this is also a great opportunity for us to help Judge Juan Luna refurbished its facilities caught up by fire last year. Our batch has lined-up several fund raising events in sports and entertainment which will generate funds for the completion of the renovation. We would like to tap all batches to help as in this worth cause. In line with this, we would like to seek the coperation of your batch as well to attend in the first meeting of alumni in prepation for next year's grand homecoming. Thank you so much and I would like to congratulate you also and your classmates for having one nostalgic evening in your get together. More power to you.

I am glad Denise returned home and I am glad you gave PLDT a piece of your mind. I hope we can maintain the current connection we have and hope it does not go down again.
