Gloria Arroyo visited the Vatican last Monday where she had a private audience with Pope Benedict XVI and she presented the Holy Pontiff yesterday a book-bound copy of Republic Act (RA) 9346 abolishing the 1994 Death Penalty Law (RA 7659) for certain heinous crimes.

Meanwhile, in the Philippines, Anti-GMA forces filed series of complaints.

butterfly Let me know you were here, your thoughts are welcome!

Killings happened outside the cell... I agree with the abolition of Death Penalty Law, anyway.

The accused won't make it to the cell nor have due process... they got killed untimely.

Great, so she has gotten rid of the death penalty.

What has happened to all the people that have been against her that get the death penalty (assasinated) before they get a chance in court.
