CON-ASS PROTEST

Series of protest to kick off tomorrow, June 10, after House of Representatives passed House Resolution 1109 on Tuesday evening, through a voice vote.

HR 1109 allows Congress to convene as a constituent assembly to amend the Constitution, without the necessary participation of the Senate.
Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) announced this evening that there will be 6 hours power interruption scheduled tomorrow, affecting most parts of Metropolitan Manila, between 9 AM and 3 PM and/or between 3 PM and 9 PM, due to upgrade of its old transmission located in Bulacan. Why not do your necessary repairs on a weekend, Meralco people?
Whether the power interruption has something to do with the scheduled mass rally tomorrow against Constituent Assembly (CON-ASS), protesters will attend rain or shine, with or without power, H1N1 threat or not, it's already set in Makati City, to protest the attempt to amend the 1987 Constitution.
Oh! Well, that reminds me to charge my cell phone before going to bed to make sure I can run Skype on my cell phone to talk to Randy, in case our area is one of those affected by power interruption.
