A lifelog of a well-travelled single parent who had a life extension in 2000, blogs indiscriminately about her journey through life fulfilling unfinished business and promises that will soon complete her existence...
I was replying today to forums when someone challenged me to enlighten him re the WTC. Well, although I have browsed by accident the mpeg file while G. W. Bush was in Florida reading a book to grammar Grade School students, I could not find it today. Somehow, this is the information I got from The People's Investigation of 9/11 (PI911) site...
Two solar coronal mass ejections swept past Earth on May 29th: one at 1215 UT (8:15 a.m. EDT) and another at 1900 UT (2:00 p.m. EDT). Our planet's magnetic field is still reverberating from the impacts. Sky watchers everywhere should be alert for possible auroras after local nightfall. Because the moon is nearly-new, lunar glare will not interfere with faint Northern or Southern Lights.
I am not so sure if I can make a wish here but, I will make a wish nevertheless, they might come true.
A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other the silent treatment.
The next week, the man realized that he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight to Chicago. Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (AND LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper, "Please wake me at 5:00 AM."
The next morning the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and that he had missed his flight. Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't awakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed.
The paper said, "It is 5:00 AM. Wake up."
Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests...
The inclusion of the Philippines in the Security List is seen as a result of the continuing threat of terrorists and the country's links to al-Qaeda through southern Philippine rebel groups such as the Abu Sayyaf and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
Countries included to the Special Registration List are: Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Eritrea, Lebanon, Morocco, North Korea, Oman, Qatar, Somalia, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Angola, Argentina, Armenia, Bhutan, Brazil, Congo, Cyprus, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, and Venezuela.
This is bad news for Filipinos joining the list of countries whose citizens are subject to the special registration procedures. Glad I am not going to the US...
But there is a good news for Philippine medical clinics because both immigrants and non-immigrants alike -- such as holders of tourist, working, student and business visas -- are subject to medical examination before visas can be issued. Medical Examinations, however, is done by an authorized civil surgeon who must perform the exam according to the specific guidelines published by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention
Going through medical examination was not easy. I had difficulty running on a treadmill just to pass my ECG, which I had tests twice. When I was diagnosed of pneumonia based on my x-ray result, I was really shocked. I never suffered from pneumonia in the past but the attending physician insisted that I must take at least one week medication of Inoflox 400 mg plus 1000 mg of vit C. I passed the second X-RAY test although I have not taken the Inoflox as prescribed, I hate taking medications, I feel ill more during treatment so I stopped it.
The United States of America has committed a "minimum" of 356 million dollars -- about 18.7 billion pesos at the current exchange rate -- in security-related assistance to the Philippines. This will be the largest military aid package the country has received since the US military bases in the Philippines closed down in 1992.
No wonder the government troops are battling both Muslim separatist rebels and Abu Sayyaf bandits (linking them to Al Qaeda while they're not), even there were rumors it's the military who were bombing some establishments and accused muslim rebels of terrorizing fellow Filipino people.
Somehow, if you will visit PNAC (Project for the New American Century) website, you will have a second thought about how the 9/11, the Iraqi war and the nationwide terrorisms here in my country have in common, not to mention the other terroristic attacks in other parts of the globe. There's something big in 1997... if I am not mistaken, it's the same year those local bandits started terrorizing Mindanao with its kidnapping spree. The next thing we know, our government was signing with the US government the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) in February 1998 for Phase I and in October 1998 for Phase II.
There were rumors told on both radio and TV commentaries of connivance between the military and the infamous Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG). It is hard for any ordinary citizens to accept that there are real people conspiring with each other for the world domination. This, of course, need time to prove its accuracy but, somehow, we as global citizens, should be wary and do not trust all the news we hear on TV. There's a lot of ways nowadays to know the truth behind those lies feeding to us by embedded journalist.
In just one week, I have watched the most anticipated sequel, the Matrix 2, Reloaded, twice with the kids at home. I was ultimately disappointed with this particular trilogy. Most parts of the film were not fitting together quite right, kind of visually loaded, materially flimsy. My son downloaded it from the net and we had thought 'To be concluded' means we have to watch it in theater near us. Only to be disappointed when daughter told me that's the end part of Reloaded. Although it's a great movie which synthesizes philosophies about technology, martial arts and religion, I still prefer the first movie. It could have easily become the best summer movie this year but, the producer-directors of the series appear to have forgotten an important aspect in a great film: a great story.
However, the best part for me was when Neo have to make a choice and followed the course he has chosen at the confluence of love and truth, faith and knowledge, purpose and reason. Each time Neo chooses between duty and love, he picks love - which is his destiny. I do believe in the power of love and when Neo brought the life of Trinity back, that was my favorite part.
Although disappointed, we would wait for Matrix 3, The Revolution until it will be shown sometime in November this year.

A man was working on his motorcycle on his patio and his wife was in the house in the kitchen. The man was racing the engine on the motorcycle and somehow, the motorcycle slipped into gear. The man, still holding the handlebars, was dragged through a glass patio door and the motorcycle dumped onto the floor inside the house.
The wife, hearing the crash, ran into the dining room, and found her husband laying on the floor, cut and bleeding, the motorcycle laying next to him and the patio door shattered. The wife ran to the phone and summoned an ambulance.
Because they lived on a fairly large hill, the wife went down the several flights of long steps to the street to direct the paramedics to her husband. After the ambulance arrived and transported the husband to the hospital, the wife uprighted the motorcycle and pushed it outside. Seeing that gas had spilled on the floor, the wife obtained some papers towels, blotted up the gasoline, and threw the towels in the toilet.
The husband was treated at the hospital and was released to come home. After arriving home, he looked at the shattered patio door and the damage done to his motorcycle. He became despondent, went into the bathroom, sat on the toilet and smoked a cigarette. After finishing the cigarette, he flipped it between his legs into the toilet bowl while still seated.
The wife, who was in the kitchen, heard a loud explosion and her husband screaming. She ran into the bathroom and found her husband laying on the floor. His trousers had been blown away and he was suffering burns on the buttocks, the back of his legs and his groin. The wife again ran to the phone and called for an ambulance.
The same ambulance crew was dispatched and the wife met them at the street. The paramedics loaded the husband on the stretcher and began carrying him to the street. While they were going down the stairs to the street accompanied by the wife, one of the paramedics asked the wife how the husband had burned himself. She told them and the paramedics started laughing so hard, one of them tipped the stretcher and dumped the husband out. He fell down the remaining steps and broke his ankle!
Ever heard of THE NEW WORLD RE-ORDER? Do you believe in conspiracies? Do you believe there are powerful people who conspire together annually to solidify their grip on world domination? The Whistleblower Magazine (formerly WorldNet) features in its May 2003 magazine cover "THE NEW WORLD RE-ORDER: Exposing the United Nations' attack on U.S. sovereignty", which says "Decisions made in the next few months will determine to a great extent whether the United States of America remains a free, constitutional republic or yields its freedom to the rule of international law administered by the United Nations."
The series of articles I have read about NWO raised my brows especially when it mentioned "Now is the time. The next few months may indeed define what kind of country and world we live in for the rest of our lives. If you care about America, read this issue." It says "this eye-opening special report, the long battle between globalists and those committed to U.S. sovereignty is coming to a head." This article is definitely contradicted to what is happening in the real world. I think its the USA who now dominated the UN and it seems no one can stand against the US/UK alliance.
The rise of global governance is happening right now under Bush control, handling the UN. The UN is as good as dead, we have substituted the United States for the United Nations as the arbiter and guardian of a new world order.
In my conscience, I still believe and feel America's war against Iraq was illegal and immoral.

My PC has dual boot running win 98 SE and win XP operating systems but I never tried using webcam on XP as my Yahoo! crashes. I was not certain whether it was because of my Creative Pc Cam 750 driver or that's Yahoo bug. I have noticed that Logitech cams have been widely supported by any video programs but, I didn't like its resolution and image quality.
Maybe I will try to install MSN messenger 6.0 on win XP. Hey! Johnny, you should upgrade your MSN too, this is your chance to see my video! For those who wants to know who is Johnny, well... ask me.
THE PHILIPPINES is facing a balance of payment (BoP) deficit this year -- a reversal of the 660 million dollars surplus reaped in 2002 -- due to slower inflows from trade, investments and foreign borrowings, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas said Thursday. Full story
When I talked with Vera over the phone of my willingness to sell the house in a much lower rate, she mentioned to me about the fate of commercial establishments in our area. It's unfortunate that most small businesses failed to make it and were forced to shut down.
Life here worsened after the Iraqi war (US-led invasion). We're into recruitment and deploying people to the Middle East slows down. We can barely cope up with bills and other obligations. It's very sad that my children will not be able to make it to college again this school year. The last school they have attended refused to release school credentials unless we settled previous balance.
Somehow, watching news and seeing what has happened with those Iraqi people living in poverty in their oil rich country and/or those people who were victims of earthquake in Algeria, made me have second thought that we are still very lucky to be born here in the Philippines in spite of life's challenges we are now experiencing. There are many ways to thank God for this wonderful life we're having. Many thanks to God for the good health my children and I are enjoying. And, most of all, we have a house that safely shelter us... ah! we are indeed fortunate and very blessed!
Health officials said there were still four suspected SARS cases under observation in an undisclosed government hospital, but all the patients showed symptoms after returning from overseas trips, not because of local transmission. And we had no new cases of SARS for the past 20 days--twice the maximum incubation period.
Meanwhile, the financial crisis at home prompted me to think twice of selling my house. We are in a difficult situation that I must make a major decision soon and live within our capacity and means. I wish I have 'my other half'... deciding matters as a single parent has not been easy.
Today is my best friend's birthday. Her name is Vera. She's a Godsend and I am so lucky to have her as a friend. Someday, somehow... when both of us will be golden girls, I would want to travel with her to the apparition sites of Mama Mary. She's a very kind-hearted and religious woman, she's indeed a devotee of Mama Mary.
Meanwhile, I am glad that this page has improved a little bit but I wonder why I cannot insert any background image or photo here. I am not so familiar with xml and CSS codes. Wish I could have more concentration next time while visiting other blogger's sites... looks like there are new stuffs to learn each day :-)
No matter how eager and interested I am in browsing more blog sites, my mind cannot absorb them - they look blank even I was reading them. The reality of life bothers me, I should not really spend more time online as there's so many things to do, so many things to fix... I will be away for about 2 years. Planning, preparing, and instructing the kids on what to do while I am not home. Gee, don't know really how they will manage the house without me.
I love my kids. And, I wish the best for them. They are all grownups now - they must learn to survive without me - a legacy I could give them as their single parent.
The net has been my world since 1997. There have been many nice people online who morally supported me during difficult times, when I was feeling so depressed. Somehow, it's time to move on, find a job and be financially and emotionally independent. I am at the peak of life's trials and challenges but I feel after this storm, everything will be revealed based on God's plan.
Well... uhmmmm... I sound emotional today because I had misunderstandings with the kids. How I wish they would think the way I do but, I know they need time...
Finally, my Blogroll Me link works this evening. I'd thought I will stay up late again browsing for answers. Ah! There's so many things to do really but I have so little time... I shall edit this post later, I am very sleepy now.
...and I am sad that I can't run my Blogroll Me link after registering with couple of blog related sites. I mixed up my login username and passwords too and I forgot to bookmark some beautiful sites I visited. Three times we had power outage and the worst one was when a transformer near my house exploded.
Wish I can set everything up and running before I finally leave the net soon. Most of the personal blog sites I browsed through today were real stunning... the more I feel the necessity of upgrading my skills but I am running short of time...
I finally passed the last two series of my medical tests since I started taking them last month. And well, while "mother never told me there will be days like these", taking complete medical examinations at the age of 42 was not a real joke. I had my stress test twice due to computer error, printer ink ran out and so were bond papers. Although I didn't like to get myself reading glasses, I had no choice today but to pass my optical test, otherwise, my medical certificate will not be released.
I'd like to thank those friends who prayed for my welfare and wellness - glad it's over! I must admit there were many instances that God made things easier for me.
Although I am not very much ON AIR on my ECTV Channel these past few days due to busy life preparing for my trip abroad, I sometimes participated at 500 Citizens of the World Message Board.
Honestly, there are many things to be done and I wish God will make them easier for me...
