Tremendous Pressures
Wednesday, March 31, 2004
Mr. Sy wanted me to decide today whether I can lift the Adverse Claim or not. Deciding on lifting it affects not only future's decision-making but, emotions and pride are factors that must set aside. for the sake of my children...
Unintentionally, I shouted at Vera and Mr. Sy over my telephone conversations with them. I was nervous about our situation.
A new buyer, Mrs. Macapagal, came twice to visit the house. On her second visit, three men in ADB uniforms came along with her and made assessment of my house.
BS Multiple Account
Monday, March 29, 2004
Discovery of multiple accounts of some BlogShares players (and industry moguls) were very disappointing. I'd thought those female players who sent me messages were real, only to find out later that a man disguised himself and managed to control many BS accounts to gain a profitable advantage in HTO of top blogs and Ideas trading.
This case is still under BSEC investigation but, I felt betrayed by a man who disguised himself as "Aggie", "Lulu" and "Patti"...
Very Dramatic Day
Friday, March 26, 2004
In the morning, Paul Denise, Pearl, Arianne, and I were ready to donate blood! But, Pearl has to have her X-Ray at 8 in the morning as part of her college entrance pre-requirements. Later in the afternoon, she has a seminar at the university, which conflicts with our schedules but, I told her to follow if she has time...
Paul Denise and I arrived at PCH at 9:30 a.m. Immediately as we get off from the vehicle, I saw Junjun yelling at the guy in the Information Desk, they did not allowed my son to go upstairs! By then, I have noticed that there were so many people both inside and outside the hospital premises, mostly in uniforms. When I inquired what's going on, I was advised that all visitors and watchers were not allowed in the building unless it's the scheduled visiting hours, which is from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Surprised why they became strict on the third day of my visit, they said there was an on-going Fire Drill Exercise in the hospital and strictly no one is allowed to stay inside the rooms except patients. So we waited patiently near the Lab room.
At 10 a.m., we hurriedly signed in the log book, went upstairs and had little talk with the personnel at the Nurse Station. I tried to discuss about the endorsement or referral letter to PCSO to help my son pay half of the bills but I was told processing would take us about ten days, the least.
While thinking what to do, we then proceeded to PCH lab for blood donation, they normally close at 3 p.m., one hour early every Friday. As my turn came, I was given a sheet of paper, asked to go to ER window 10 but, ER was temporarily transferred at the other side of the building due to Fire Drill Exercise.
At ER, there were so many patients in queue but I talked with the nurse that we're not patients and she must get our BP and weight immediately so that we can go to the other hospital for blood screening and donation. I weighed about 68 kg. and had a BP of 100/80 while Paul Denise weight was only 60 kg. and had a BP of 110/80! After she noted our weight and BP, I went upstairs to tell them we're leaving but I met my son going downstairs in tears. Alarmed, I found out later that his wife might stay for another ten days because the hospital personnel will take time to issue Medical Abstract since the attending surgeon, Dr. Virata, was not around yet and there's no clinical abstract issuance every Saturday and Sunday! I smiled at him, patted his head, and assured him that I will do my best to get Tintin out the same day and he should keep calm and take everything easy.
At Las Piñas District Hospital, I paid P2,000 for blood screening and went to Blood Bank, located in the next building. Mohammed Khayer M. Safar, the one who screened us, asked series of questions. Disgusted, he disqualified me to donate my blood because I will soon have my monthly period while Paul Denise passed as a blood donor (blood type O)! Mohammed says women who have menstrual period 7 days before or after, are not qualified to donate blood. Just the same, I insisted that he screened my blood, dropped it in a blue solution, and it went straight at the bottom - I passed! But still, I'm not qualified to donate due to my forthcoming period!
Screening is done, it was about 11:45 in the morning. Mohammed told my son to eat first before blood letting and advised us to come back at 1 p.m., after lunch break. My daughter contacted me then but I told her to wait for us at home and no need to follow us, she is not qualified also to donate blood, her period is due next week.
Since I was disqualified to donate blood, we need another blood donor as my replacement. Knowing there is another blood donor with Junjun, Paul Denise contacted his big brother and told him to follow us at Las Piñas District Hospital with his donor. Few minutes later, Junjun and his donor arrived, I asked them to rest while we're in SM Sucat, had our lunch, changed some money and bought a loose dress for Tintin.
At SM Sucat, I had difficulty changing the money. I changed them in two places, at Hyper Supermarket and at Banco De Oro but, they rejected some bills. When they asked for my identification, I even forgot to bring my passport! Who in this world would remember to bring a passport if we want to discharge a patient from the hospital? Anyway, the guy at Banco De Oro offered his ID in order to change the dollars. What identifications I had with me were expired Driver's License and Tax Identification ID which they didn't honored.
Finally, as they finished blood letting and we received Blood Bank Certification, we went straight back to PCH in La Huerta. I submitted the certification at the Lab, they issued a Clearance which was signed by a Social Worker. It's what we need before a Statement of Account be released to us. When we're done paying all the surgical expense of Tintin, we went home relieved.
I feel good that my children are complete again...

Busy Day
Thursday, March 25, 2004
As my eldest son, Junjun, arrived early in the morning, Paul Denise left the house to watch Tintin in the hospital while Junjun and I were busy attending to our appointments. Junjun needed some sleep prior to his afternoon appointment with the employer but we were disturbed when Paul Denise texted to us that Tintin was moved to OB ward and patient's watcher is not allowed inside the ward...
Meanwhile, there was little misunderstanding between the office and on our sides, they never told us that the employer who was about to interview my son was a new one. Furious with the conflict of schedules, I demanded that Junjun pickup something in my behalf and that's where the trouble started.
The other agent who happened to have two applicants with her wanted my son lost his way while the said employer was interviewing the two technician applicants with her. Obviously, money was the reason of her motives here because should my son be selected by the employer, she wouldn't have commission from him!
Fortunately, my son found them and discovered the "secret deal" between the agent and the two applicants. Junjun felt bad with the tricky treatment he received from the agent but I told him there were more important things to think about other than those cheaters. Besides, I didn't liked the way the employer had questioned my son, I considered the employer a newbie when it comes to interviewing people. However, that "little game" of hide-and-seek had taken so much of my son's time.
Junjun arrived home exhausted, had a low bat cellphone and zero load! Upon knowing about the incidence, I telephoned immediately the office and questioned blatantly the agent who maltreated my son. After serving Junjun his lunch, we immediately left to get there to the hospital on time based on allowed visitation schedule. I was worried Paul Denise didn't have a chance to eat his meals while waiting at the hospital lobby, should Tintin needed him to buy her some medicines or food.
I had the opportunity to have few words with the PCH lab people and Social Worker. They explained to me the consequences should we avail of PCSO medical assistance or seek Mayor's Funds' 30% discount off from the hospital's total bill.
Since watcher is no longer allowed to stay inside the room, my boys and I went home to have a longer sleep. We decided to donate blood ourselves so that we could bring home Tintin after replacing the blood transfused in her during CS.
Renovation Cost
Paola's mother and hubby came to visit the house along with Vera, Zeny and her husband. The purpose of the visit was to study the renovation cost of my house should Paola's family bought my property. Zeny is a part time broker and her husband is on a Build-and-Sell business and they accept renovation contracts, as well.
John, Paola's hubby, confirmed his interest to purchase my property and this time, they will pay in cash, as bank loan will cost them so much paying its monthly interests.
Later in the afternoon, while waiting for Junjun to come home, Zeny and her hubby brought two guys with them to estimate well the cost of renovating my house. John himself had a Build-and-Sell business earlier before he works for the government and he finds the quotation of the couple a little bit cheaper than his estimated budget of 1 million for renovation...
Vera informed me that she heard from another fellow broker that Mr. Sy is looking for another house and the said broker was asking Vera's recommendation of available properties for sale. With that information, we decided not to follow instructions from Mr. Sy anymore and let the flow of events tell us who is really among the three buyers are serious in buying our property...
Third Fiscal Hearing
At exactly 2 p.m., I arrived at the Prosecutor's Office to attend the Third and hopefully, the Final Hearing of the SWINDLING case maliciously filed against me. It's surprising that there were lots of people who had cases to resolve also.
As instructed by Mr. Sy, he wanted me to request for Final Dismissal of the case and not subject for refiling but because I didn't liked to speak with RRE, who arrived an hour late (as usual), I just told the Asst. Prosecutor that I will not submit anymore the REJOINDER AFFIDAVIT since the accusations were baseless and have it decide for RESOLUTION.
The Asst. Prosecutor wrote something in our file folder and we were asked to signed it.
Since it never took us 3 minutes to hear both sides, the hearing was immediately dismissed. When I went down from third floor, I went straight to the Registry of Deeds (RD) office and looked for the lawyer who issued Annotation Notice against my property in January 2004.
After 15 minutes of waiting, the guy showed up in his desk. We talked and I explained to him that the injustice of filing of Adverse Claim against my property caused us so much inconvenience. The fact that I was the one originally complaining against the broker / buyer of my house last year had been twisted because I didn't have the money to file the case against RRE.
I showed evidences that proved of my innocense and he was so sorry about the tragic fate I had in the hands of the broker. As we went outside RD office, he was about to hand me some money to buy food for my children! Surprised with his initiative, I told him I don't need his money, I want them to reverse the Claim filed against my property and congratulated him on his wedding this year as I left city hall...
Pains Of A Single Parent
Wednesday, March 24, 2004
My son and I had heated arguments over some issues on how to resolve their current hospitalization expense. We both raised our voices and firmed with our stands, he went to his room and I slammed my room's door!
I concentrated well on his accusations and, knowing he didn't mean what he said, I sent Paul Denise, my second son, to buy ice cream in a nearby grocery store, Tropical Hut Food Mart. The warm weather and lack of sleep probably had something to do with our temper to rise quickly so we need to cool down. I pampered myself with the delicious flavor of 900 ml. Selecta Creations' Double Dutch and Super Chocolate (Take Two) ice cream which cost about P 99.00 only. Junjun accepted his share when Paul Denise announced that he bought the ice cream! That's how I resolved dispute with my son...
After couple of hours sleep, I knocked at Junjun's room, gave him instructions and I decided to visit Tintin for the first time in Parañaque Community Hospital (PCH) in La Huerta. My children didn't want me to appear there earlier because the hospital authorities might not give my son Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) endorsement upon seeing me. But, bored with the way my son handles the situation, we went there so that I can check personally what's going on with Tintin and the hospital billings.
Since it was a charity hospital, three patients are sharing a small room of about 16 SQM floor area, if I am not mistaken with the size. We arrived late in the hospital prior to scheduled visitation at night from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Nevertheless, since it was my first visit, they let me in. After few words with Tintin, I talked with the Nurse stationed at the Information Desk in the second floor of PCH building. Cashier was closed then and I couldn't check with them the current statement of account on surgical expense of Tintin.
Junjun stayed with Tintin in the hospital but I reminded him of his Thursday schedules. Paul Denise was with me then and we went home straight from the hospital.
When I arrived home, I contemplated on my son's accusations. The pains of being a single parent was there but, I must be brave enough to accept whatever my son's thoughts about my shortcomings. I know, someday, he will understand how hard it is to raise them by myself and keeping the family intact in spite of family difficulties...
Wish I had more money to provide them all what they need. Fortunately enough, glad God answered my prayers and I received some budget from my EX (Kids' stepfather)!
I called Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) at telephone number 7819701 and made an inquiry on how we could avail of medical assistance from this government office.
They advised me to coordinate with the Social Worker based in PCH and secure endorsement from them, original statement of account, and seek certified medical abstract from attending physician, along with the physician's license number.
Looking For Blood Donor
Tuesday, March 23, 2004
Tintin needs more blood transfusion but, my son couldn't get one 450 cc of Type B Blood unless he finds a blood donor. For each blood pack used, my son should bring two blood donors. In short, PCH lab requires that six blood donors should be able to donate blood so that my son could get one more blood pack for Tintin OR pay P 2,000.00 representing screening fee + four blood donors! It's unfortunate none of us are qualified to donate blood due to sleepless nights over Tintin's hospitalization.
Lost where to get more money, I prayed to God for some help...
Meeting With Atty Acosta
Monday, March 22, 2004
I had a meeting with Atty. Acosta at 5 in the afternoon. We decided not to answer the REPLY submitted by RRE to my counter-affidavit, not only to shorten the legal proceedings but, also it does not worth a single reply. The motive of RRE was just to annoy me with senseless and fabricated lies.
With the current situation of Tintin, I apologized with Atty. Acosta that I wouldn't be able to give any portion of the amount we agreed upon, for the initial payment of his Acceptance Fee to my case. However, he was kind enough to understand my situation and willing to help resolve the messy situation I am in, as far as dispute on my property is concerned. Because of this, I promised him that I would pay him double of what he's charges me, should Adverse Claim on TCT will be lifted soon enough so that I can sell my property to any of the three interested buyers: Mr. Sy, Paola, or Richard...
Meanwhile, Mr. Sy brought some chinese food to us again this evening and he hurriedly left as soon as I received them.
Caesarian Operation
Sunday, March 21, 2004
Unlike other ordinary miscarriage, Tintin underwent a caesarian (CS) operation and had blood transfusion, used two (2) 450 cc pack of Type B blood. She was confined at Parañaque Community Hospital (PCH) in La Huerta. Through the kind assistance of Social Workers there, Tintin had urgent CS at 11:30 p.m. last night. The fetus was about 35 days old...
I was under shock, I couldn't believe this is happening... never in my thoughts my first unborn grandchild will die long before the baby will be born.
Because of this, I didn't feel well having a legal meeting with Atty. Acosta today to discuss about RRE's REPLY to my counter-affidavit. We reset the meeting tomorrow.
Miscarriage
Saturday, March 20, 2004
The common-law wife of my eldest son, Tintin, had a miscarriage since three days ago but, we didn't know about it. No one knows. She started complaining of abdominal pains and she was bleeding. She had mistaken it as her monthly period.
Yesterday, they went to the hospital late in the evening and I didn't know what time they went back. They bought all the prescribed medicines, she was diagnosed with symptons of kidney stone and she was advised not to eat salty foods and drink more water than she normally does...
But, her situation did not improve and she was brought back to the hospital. They later found out she had ectopic pregnancy and she needs urgent operation this evening. While writing this blog, my eldest son arrived to get some more money. Tintin needs immediately blood transfusion for her operation.
I was weakened and saddened that my first unborn grandchild is dead :-(

Karma
Mr. Sy called this morning and made a follow-up on what has happened with the Adverse Claim.
He gave me some enlightenment about the practicality of life and advised me to set aside my "pride" for the sake of my children's future. He said someday, somehow, karma will work for all of us. If I remained good, I would get good karma and if others were bad to us, they will get bad karma...
I told him to give me until Thursday, I will try to see how the case are moving. With my fingers crossed, I am hopeful things will run favorably on my side. Maybe on Monday, there's good news about the claim, who knows?
Later this afternoon, a broker through Virgie's referral came here and brought Richard who owned a property in Manhattan. I didn't liked them to enter the house and after series of inquiries, I let them in.
I made sure the broker didn't referred by RRE, otherwise, I woould not let them in. Should Richard decided to buy the house based on my asking price, he said he needs the documents for bank loan purposes.
My stand remains, I need time until next week to decide whether to pursue the case or not. I feel the scheduled hearing on Thursday will be the last meeting. Hopefully, the case will be dismissed in my favor.
Meanwhile, Paola, the flight attendant, will be visiting us on Monday for another meeting. And probably later in the evening, Mr. Sy told me that he will drop by to bring us Chinese food :">
My Karmic Sign
Astrology.com: Saturn is the Planet of Karma
Saturn is a strong disciplinarian and teaches us our lessons this lifetime. At times, this planet can be restricting and inhibiting. Joy is experienced once the lessons of Saturn have been learned. To understand your Karmic lesson, find what Sign Saturn was in at the time of your birth.
CAPRICORN is my sign of karma based on my date of birth!
Success at any price seems to be your motto. The price you usually pay is never being able to relax and enjoy life. Your nose is always to the grindstone -- and amazingly, it seems that you do it all to benefit others. Because you are so persistent you usually achieve your goals and find yourself in positions of authority. But shouldn't you examine the cost? If you want to ever evolve you might try answering this question -- 'Why am I working so hard all the time?' Your family and friends have probably been asking you this for so long it no long registers. And you might have pushed the answer so far down because the truth just might blow your entire do-gooder image. The answer is fear -- that's right, your need to control your environment so it never gets a chance to control you. You might want to explore your relationship with your mother as well. Who you are isn't bad -- in fact you can make wonderful things happen. You should just be honest with yourself about the motivation.

Another Subpoena
Friday, March 19, 2004
Another hearing was set at 2 p.m. on March 25th 2004, then and there to testify under oath or submit additional affidavit or answer clarificatory question in the preliminary investigation to be conducted in the Prosecutor's Office...
I received this subpoena this morning and called Atty. Acosta regarding this matter. I informed my bestfriend / broker, too, and I shall be awaiting the lawyer's call for the next appointment...
Longest Days and Nights
Thursday, March 18, 2004
My elder sister, Ate Neth, told me that the next hearing of Leila (in Hong Kong) will be on April 30, 2004! Shocked with the news, I remembered her three boys waiting for her at their home. Two of her boys will graduate next week from Kinder and Elementary School. Unfortunately, she would not be around on their Graduation Day.
Although she was found NOT GUILTY by Hong Kong authorities, we do not understand why they do not pardon her for tampering entries on her passport and she has to spend one more month. She does not have any plans at all to stay in Hong Kong that long. I could imagined the reflection Leila is experiencing right now. She's quite a busy and occupied person and to be stagnant in one place without her beloved kids was such a boring, probably the longest days and nights in her life...
What she's been going through is some kind of test on her faith... wish she will hold on to God. Her children badly need her...
Branching Time
As requested, I called again at 12 noon and spoke with RLG over the phone. No news yet as of today because the key person who can possibly give light on the Adverse Claim against my TCT was not around...
I am just hoping maybe tomorrow will be a better day for me. Time is linear...
Enthusiastic Until Next Week
Wednesday, March 17, 2004
Mr. Sy extended until next week the time he has given me to lift Adverse Claim against TCT. I was earlier given until today but, after I told him that I would stand firm not to make any amicable settlement at the expense of my broker / best friend, he gave me due considerations and enough time. The reason why he's in a hurry is because of his forthcoming trip to the USA to visit his family.
I have full faith and confidence that God would not let me suffer for long. Many people showed support and I really appreciated their generosity and kindness. I might have favorable news by Thursday afternoon, if things will come my way...

Waiting...
Tuesday, March 16, 2004
I called RLG at 12 noon but there is no positive result yet as far as TCT is concerned. Vera had been pressuring me to do something, otherwise, she would sign a promissory note with RRE so that Adverse Claim will be lifted.
This idea made me real nervous and upset, I didn't like Vera to affect the case I'm planning to file against RRE in the near future once I settled our messy situation...
Paola sent her people to estimate the renovation cost of the house this afternoon and while Mr. Sy requested us not to accept any house inquiries because he decided to take the house, the earnest money we're expecting from the potential buyer has not been received. Therefore, there is no successful "closed deal" yet at the moment and no one can dictate me to stop accepting interested buyers from visiting the house...
Leila in Hong Kong
This morning, I spoke with my elder sister, Neth, over the phone and she told me the bad news, Leila was jailed in Hong Kong! My sister and her fellow colleagues at work decided to visit Hong Kong last Friday for a three days group tour. She arrived late last night in Manila, but, without Leila!
Leila, my inaanak and a very young widow with three sons, was a victim of fraud / forgery, which she consented and agreed on her willingness to go to the USA in the near future, fraudently have her passport stamped with arrival / departure in Brunei and Hong Kong. In her legitimate trip to Hong Kong, the Hong Kong immigration authorities discovered that the immigration stamps on her passport was fake! She definitely can afford to travel if she wants to but, that was her first trip last week, in spite of the fact that she's a millionaire!
Ate Neth called the attention of all the authorities concerned but, Leila is in Hong Kong jail and should be submitted to HK immigration laws and legal proceedings. Whoever made the scum in Leila's passport is in hot seat right now. I am not aware if this will attract media people to sensationalize the case but, hopefully, the politicians will make big headlines and no one will pay attention to a Filipina who was jailed in Hong Kong for forged entries on her passport.
Perla posted at The Entrepreneurial Filipina, describes Colonial Mentality as the mind-set of Filipinos that anything from overseas, that is, commercial goods or genetic lineage, is better than whatever is native to the Philippine Islands. On another level, it can be described as the illusion of those material qualities that gives some Filipinos a form of status, however superficial.
It is unfortunate that because of the recent incident, Leila is now blacklisted both in Hong Kong and in the USA. Many Filipinos have this colonial mentality that their lives would be better in the USA than spending their whole lives in the Philippines. In fairness with Leila, she got a very nice position being the secretary of my EX, USA is not always the Land of Bread and Honey. Because of her interest to go to the USA, she is now in jail and no one knows when the HK authorities will set her free and send her home back to the Philippines.
I had been to over 25 world cities but in my opinion, the most important thing that will make us happy, fulfilled, and contented is where our heart is. There is nothing as beautiful than to spend our lives with the people we dearly loved...
Chinese Food
Monday, March 15, 2004
Mr. Sy, the potential buyer of my property, dropped by this evening and was thoughtful enough, brought us some Chinese food. Surprised with the three plastic bags of food when he handed them to me, he immediately commented that the food has nothing to do with the on-going deal we have, as far as my property is concerned.
Well, this is probably the result of good karma :-)
Hectic Schedule
I went to City Hall this morning with my daughter, had a 5 minute meeting with RLG and then went to Assessor's Office, secured Order of Payment and later in Land Tax Division. They computed my property tax arrears amounted to P 88,142.54 (US$ 1,602.59)!
When I arrived home, I received the registered REPLY of RRE (dated March 10, 2004) against my submitted Counter-Affidavit last February 26, 2004, she stated the following:
- The Respondent guilty as charged;
- Submission of this case for Resolution, and
- Other relief just and equitable under the premises.
Atty. Acosta told me a Rejoinder will then have to be submitted in reply to RRE's REPLY but reminded me of his minimal Acceptance Fee. With his trust and kindness, I believe he deserves more...
It took me a week to blog my thoughts again. Too many things had happened while my PC has video card problem. My priorities didn't allow me to buy a new video card until now because there are more important things to do.
Sometimes, I was thinking to give up my ladylaila.net site and internet connection to focus well in my life and save P3,000 a month.
Post entries from March 10 until today were posted late due to PC problem...
Very Likely
Sunday, March 14, 2004
Mr. Sy told me over the phone early this morning not to accept anymore house inquiry because he decided to take the house. However, he wanted me to lift the Adverse Claim inscripted by RRE against my TCT before giving earnest money.
Later in the afternoon, Vera received a long distance call from the husband of Paola, a flight stewardess, and told her to hold the house until their next visit. Paola is currently in the USA due to the nature of her work and will be back next week.
Upon telling Vera about Mr. Sy's phone call, we agreed to keep the sale of the house open until one of the buyers will pay the earnest money. This time, we're very cautious not to be victimized again by trusting too much...
Surprised Visit
Saturday, March 13, 2004
Mr. Sy, together with his Architect, arrived home this morning. He was supposed to visit by Sunday, but, nevertheless, he showed keen interest in buying my property and would like to know how much it will cost him in case of renovation...
My best friend told me that Mr. Sy was bothering her for a more lower price but I insisted on following my asking price and will not go lower than that. Although he showed so much interest, my concern is who will pay me good price for our property.
Raiding A Blog
Due to my recent disappointment with BS rude players and I kept losing my investments on top blogs, I decided to make use of my existing artefacts, RAID A BLOG, to steal 20-100% of the idea commodities produced by a blog in the artefact's industry. Each artefact can be use once every 24 hours time limited and gives a maximum 500 ideas.
Artefact restricted, however, it cannot be used in a blog with zero available balance in the Ideas Market.
Raiding patiently a blog gives me between B$2 and B$2.5 billion profit everyday which is better than risking of restructuring or taking over top blogs. That's approximately about B$67.5 billion average profit in a month. Earlier, when I didn't know how to use this artefact function, I used about 5-7 artefacts to make a profit of B$8 million in a particular blog.
Well, many thanks to Randy, a.k.a. RWO (Retired Warrant Officer) for explaining to me the artefacts functions. RWO and I had a blog dispute because he rudelessly taken a blog I newly restructured making me lose my investments. But, his generous heart prompted him to correct his rudeness by gifting me blogs's shares he owned. Since then, I respected this guy...
While some BS pioneers can make as much as a B$ hundred billion in just a day's transactions, these rude players kept making BlogShares game dirty. I know it's just a game but your actions toward other players reflected a part of you. I don't think it's fun to be in the top 20 by way of cheating, group conspiracy, and manipulating the game. Most players know who you are and no matter what you say, you cannot change the impression we had about you, guys...
Re:Discontent (I didn't chose that title !)
Friday, March 12, 2004
A bug had been discovered by the richest player at Blogshares (BS). Far from reading the said message thread at BS Forum, I have posted a message also due to disappointment from two players who destroyed my investments with two BS top blogs, Persian and Slashdot. Here's one of the message I have submitted, Reply #29 on: March 12, 2004, 12:26:09 pm:
I have openly expressed my opinion and if my message thread will be locked again, this would be the third time.
Maybe some players would secretly agree with me. Things would go on endlessly unless someone will come forward and express their opinion about the practice of HTO and PRD. While it's true that I did some PRD and HTO myself, I find them very offensive and didn't find any fun doing more of it. I informed the offending person about the manner how they treated "my investments" through PM, others accepted it, others were arrogant but the fact that I was dismayed had been known and whether they honor my opinion or not is no longer my problem...
Anyone can check my portfolio history. Also, if my thoughts are not welcome here and will always be moderated, this forum somewhat discriminates and not fair to all.
I have no reason to attack the three sitting BSEC and no need for the three to protect other players. Let the person responsible for these messages to come forward and explain...
Just in case this will be my last message, I would like to congratulate Suburban Wolf for all the efforts and made BlogShares work for all of us. I have gained a hundred billion since it was restored...Thank you and I salute you!!!
To Jay, thank you for your generosity!!!
I am hopeful Public Relations here on BS will improve someday and those currently in authority will respect views and opinions AND will not use the forum as a passport to insult lowly members...
Hey, Afonso, I was playing at BS for barely three months but, I think I do understand the reason now why you left BS...
The 8th Blocked Spammer
Wednesday, March 10, 2004
The 8th unwanted spammer was here with e-mail address, a@a.pl and with IP address 80.50.108.128. This spammer entered a "dzwonki polifoniczne gry java tapety nokia sms" name and sent "hi to all" messages. Although the message content was not offensive, I believe this one deserves the 842nd-843rd entries in MT-blacklist since his messages were irrelevant to my blog's topic. My blog is not a Cyber Net Lobby for lost people on the net and I would like to encourage surfers to be responsible enough with proper application of COMMENTS feature here.

Help Wanted
Tuesday, March 09, 2004
In loving memory of Tootsie, our male puppy who died last week, I had thought to share with you this joke which was originally posted by Thelly at arizona_humor at Yahoo! Group:
A business is looking for office help. They put a sign in the window saying: "HELP WANTED. Must be able to type, work a computer and must be bilingual. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer."
Soon after a dog trotted up to the window, saw the sign and went inside. He looked at the receptionist and wagged his tail, then walked over to the sign, looked at it and whined. Getting the idea, the receptionist got the office manager. The manager looked at the dog and was surprised, However, the dog looked determined, so he led him into the office.
Inside, the dog jumped up on the chair and stared at the manager. The manager said, "I can't hire you. The sign says you have to be able to type."
The dog jumped down, went to the typewriter and proceeded to type out a perfect letter. He took out the page and trotted over to the manager and gave it to him, then jumped back on the chair.
The manager was stunned, but then told the dog, "The sign says you have to be good with a computer."
The dog jumped down again and went to the computer. The dog proceeded to demonstrate his expertise with various programs and produced a sample spreadsheet and database and presented them to the manager. By this time the manager was totally dumbfounded! He looked at the dog and said, "I realize that you are a very intelligent dog and have some interesting abilities. However, I still can't give you the job."
The dog jumped down and went to a copy of the sign and put his paw on the part about being an Equal Opportunity Employer. The manager said, "Yes, but the sign also says that you have to be bilingual."
The dog looked at him straight in the face and said, "Meow."
Upon reading this joke, I remembered Tootsie when he was still alive, we had noticed some strange behaviour which he had learned from Kuting, our female cat...
International Women's Day
Monday, March 08, 2004
In celebration of the 94th International Women's Day today, Republic Act No. 9262 or Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act, sponsored by Senate President Franklin Drilon, Senator Luisa Ejercito-Estrada and Speaker Jose de Venecia, was signed into law by PGMA, witnessed by top women officials of The Kalakasan (Strength) Foundation, at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.
For in-depth understanding, read Inq7.com full report about Stiffer penalties for men who abuse their wives.
Body Parts
While Police have arrested two men for allegedly stealing and then peddling body parts in Los Angeles, California; a woman discovers fingertip in salad in Canton, Ohio; AND, in Tagaytay City, Philippines, a decapitated head of a man was being carried by a stray dog.
I have read in Manila Bulletin Roundup section of Provincial Bulletin page that the decapitated head was inside a Rustan plastic bag when local residents found it at 10 o'clock Thursday morning, March 4...
Meanwhile, retrieval operations of 112 missing persons from the Superferry 14, owned by William Gothong and Aboitiz (WG&A), bound for Bacolod City that caught fire early Saturday morning, February 27, near Corregidor island, in Bataan were getting harder and difficult as days passed by. Rescuers told that body parts of victims were seriously burned, tiny dilapidated body parts floating and were scattered in waters, causing offensive smell inside festival ferry. View list of SF14 Survivors at WG&A website.
To all survivors and families of these victims, my sincerest condolence and may the souls of your loved ones rest in peace. I know how painful it is to lose someone you dearly loved, may you all recover from this tragedy and heart-breaking loss real soon...
Flattered
Sunday, March 07, 2004
Zeny and her retired colonel hubby dropped by, visited the house for the second time and estimated the cost of its renovation, should their relative in Hawaii would be interested to buy our property.
In the middle of our conversation, she suddenly asked me if I were once an actress in my younger years. I laughed off with her question. I didn't know she was thinking something else while we were discussing about the house. Anyway, I was flattered there were still few people who noticed my aura and "beauty". While I'm currently overweighed at 145 lbs., I neglected doing The Firm Aerobics Workout by Janet Jones this year due to stress and depression.
What's my beauty secret? Clean living AND I do not smoke nor drink alcoholic beverages. I do not even use any skin care and beauty products nor vitamins to maintain that so-called younger look.
Somehow, there is a twist of fashion as most women nowadays prefer a metrosexual man, one who is concern with his image and good grooming. To me, however, stylish look is secondary, for as long as he's neat and intellectual enough to keep conversation going...

Missing Tootsie
Saturday, March 06, 2004
Tootsie, or Bimbo (as my daughter called her pet), was a 5 month old cute male puppy. He passed away on Wednesday, March 3rd, at 10 o'clock in the morning due to unknown illness. Vet tentatively diagnosed him with a gastrointestinal foreign body obstruction due to unusual vomiting and loss of appetite to eat. Whatever he had ingested in his body was so serious as his death was inevitable on his third day of suffering, which shocked us all.
Tootsie was limping and had couple of wounds caused by his mother's bites when he brought to us in December 2003. He survived an eye infection in January this year and had grown up so fast and smarter. He was a loving, friendly and playful pet. He even got some friends at Friendster, mostly friends of my daughter who had seen him at home. He's not just a plain puppy to us, he's everybody's buddy! Kuting, my female cat, and Tootsie get along well with each other, except when it comes to food. Obviously, Kuting gave way most of the time.
What's so special about Tootsie? He gave me companionship from morning 'til I went to sleep. He covered the gap between me and my children, who were busy with their own young adult stuffs. Whenever I was infront of the computer, he would sleep and rested his head on my feet or if I watched TV, he would put his head on my lap. Every meal, I shared half of my food with Tootsie and Kuting. If I was doing our laundry or if I was busy cooking or washing dishes, he patiently watched me. Twice or three times a day, we played running around the house, I never realized that those little things Tootsie did for us made him very close in our hearts.
How can I forget those tears in Tootsie's eyes before his last breathe? He acted abnormally and secluded himself away from us when he started vomiting and later, uncontrollable bowel with blood. We feel he didn't liked to bother us in cleaning him up in his messy condition. Each time I was busy buying/selling stocks with BlogShares, he was gone and stayed in the garden or at the back of the house, in places he never frequent before. I was not sure if that was a normal reaction of a sick dog but, the fact that we cannot afford to confine him for treatment made me feel guilty. His medication and home treatment didn't helped him to survive.
Tootsie brought us joy and, it was really sad he stayed with us for a very short period of time. When my daughter told me yesterday that she would bring another puppy in a month or so, I told her I don't think I would be happy to have another puppy after Tootsie's death.
That day Tootsie died, Kuting delivered three kittens but he would not be there when these kittens grow up...
If you have a dog or a cat at home, do not wait 'til something bad happen to them, know what's good and what's harmful to your pets at Pet Place.

House Is Still For Sale
Thursday, March 04, 2004
In spite of the Adverse Claim filed against my property and the on-going SWINDLING case, my 4 BR 2 T & B 200 SQM FA 300 SQM LA property in a subdivision is still for sale and three potential buyers show interest yesterday.
Dismissal of the case is expected real soon and hopefully, to sell my property too so that I can file appropriate charges against the person who caused us so much delay and to move on with our lives.
I'd like to take this opportunity to extend my sincerest gratitude to Atty. Acosta and his family, the friend/family lawyer of Sherwin, through Vera's coordination, who accepted to help and made my Counter-Affidavit even it was an EDSA I holiday last week. I received the Counter-Affidavit two hours before the scheduled hearing. It was indeed a miracle that a lawyer agreed to help, even I have no downpayment to give for his legal service fees. Before him was five lawyers, mostly wanted me to sign a P100,000.00 (about US$1,800.00) Acceptance Fee payable upon successful sale of my property and appearance fee of P2,000-3,000 per hearing...
While in difficulty, I found one fresh tomato mixed with rotten ones, and I thanked God for using Atty. Acosta as instrument and, I leaped both of my feet forward. PRAYERS by concerned friends and families made all these possible, I P.U.S.H. and believe God will always be there for me!

Tootsie is gone!
For three days, we're trying very hard to save the life of Tootsie, a 5-month old doggie we loved so much and been with us for more than three months. I was very much affected because I treated Tootsie like my youngest "baby" and I couldn't believe that he's gone now...
My daughter said not to worry and she will bring home another puppy but, it's heart-breaking that Tootsie should go due to an illness. I prefer to give him away than to lose him like this :-(

Thousands stranded
Tuesday, March 02, 2004
Thousands of commuters in Metro Manila and other major towns and cities nationwide were stranded yesterday, including my Sweety Pearl, who arrived late last night.
Strikers demanded for a fare increase and the scrapping of legislation that gives oil companies leeway to increase fuel prices.
However, PGMA threatened jeepney and transport groups with a revocation of their franchise to operate. Detailed report on Inquirer.
419 Scams
Monday, March 01, 2004
"Black Money" (dyed black cash to get through customs) or "419 Scams" (named after the section of the West African country's criminal code that prohibits fraud) are advance-fee frauds, by e-mailers announcing themselves as corrupt Nigerian businessmen. I often received mails like these but, I read no further. Somehow, only businessmen capable of overseas transactions are at risk here. This Nigerian Scam was defined since 1996 but still, many businessmen fall victims through international web of deceit.

Having Fun with BS
From Rank 31st among BlogShares Richest Players in February, I slipped to Rank 32nd in BlogShares, with 23% Growth Rate, B$231,084,719,639.52 Total Value and Cash Balance beginning March 1 of B$225,072,223,073.20 and 84 artefacts.
I had lost about B$40 billion to mad trollie and RWO when I restructured/LBO Persian Blog without even watching if share's price was overpriced or not. This time, I am a bit careful now. Also, glad BlogShares generates ideas more often this time.
More power to Suburban Wolf, C, Jay Campbell and all people behind reconstituted BlogShares!
