:: Broken Dream

Wednesday, November 30, 2005

How important is sex or money in a couple's married life?

My best friend is enduring a severe loneliness in his five room house after his wife of almost twenty four years left him. He couldn't believe his wife filed for divorce, after she came back from Puerto Rico and Italy trips sometime in August.

Born to poor parents, he did his best to finish his studies, worked hard, and raised a family. He has grownup kids like me and now that he's older and will retire soon, his most cherished dream of having his wife grow old with him left him. I'd thought both of them are working it out until I found out he was hospitalised due to overdose on the night of his birthday!

Thirteen months ago, he hurt his back due to a bad fall. Whether his back pain has something to do with the divorce or not, it remains to be seen. Should the couple made final settlements in February next year, my best friend will not only endure the cold nights of sleeping alone but, will give the wife what is due...

I had also a broken dream and it took me couple of years to move on.

My networth yesterday was B$ 2.49 Quadrillion and it went down to B$ 249 Billion after BlogShares Game crashes! I had over B$ 200 Billion Networth on the first two months of playing the said fantasy stock market. Barely two years of my efforts playing BlogShares had been reset overnight. However, new players will be given more opportunity to catch up with old time players because stocks and ideas prices are more affordable now than it was 20 hours ago!

I survived last year's crash and BLOGSHARES remain my favorite game in spite of it's major crash!

:: No More Allergies

Glad I finally get rid of those allergies kept appearing in my skin for about two months. I suspected the allergy was caused by emotional stress.

Someone close to my heart lied to me and it deeply affected me.

:: Rare Job Order

Thursday, November 24, 2005

A sickly man has just recently lost a wife and his children are looking for a good woman to be the wife of their weak father.

She is going to receive a handsome salary, enjoy lots of benefits, including a share in the will of this sickly man should he die BUT, she must be willing to marry him, take good care of him, and attend to all his needs.

His children are willing to travel to the Philippines soon to interview interested applicants.

:: Nasser and VJ

Saturday, November 19, 2005

My brother, Nasser, and his only child, VJ, visited us this afternoon. It was a surprise visit, actually.

Few months ago, he was very ill due to goiter problem. He's so skinny, hard up, and jobless after losing his job in Taiwan. Too many things had happened until EX employed him as Liaison officer in Saudi embassy here in Manila.

Today, Nasser looks very healthy, gained back his normal weight, and most of all, he doesn't have goiter anymore. Many thanks to God, for listening to all our prayers.

Next Saturday, he would like to visit us again, along with his wife and son. He promised me that he will cook something special for lunch.

:: Neoquest II

Thursday, November 17, 2005

I finished Neoquest II - Insane Difficulty at 8:45:13 am NST, 15 November 2005 but, failed to get my random BD weapon prize due to a glitch in inventory page with this ERROR : Could not retrieve the list of items that are currently available.

It made me really upset considering I played the game for about a month. I wrote TNT about this but, do I have a chance to get the random item?

Randy got his Bow of Destiny after beating Insane Difficulty, which is worth between 3.7M and 4M. I posted the above message in Neopets Board so that TNT would do something about it.

Here is the history when Rohane group had beaten King Terask I and II!

:: Job hunting

Monday, November 14, 2005

I had been an active netizen since 1997 but not fortunate enough to find my soul mate. Eight years had been wasted waiting and waiting for that special someone... yet, I am still loveless until now. Guess, I should give up waiting...

Now that kids are grownups and can manage their own lives, I am confident they can survive without me should my plan of working abroad pushed through. I'm still undecided what kind of job is best for me but, it's my desire to travel and meet special people as part of my job.

I'm currently looking for a good employer and notified some people about my interest to work again.

:: Black Pawkeet Slots

Saturday, November 12, 2005

Whenever I was upset about something, playing Black Pawkeet slots had been a good outlet for me. It's a Neopet's game of chance and luck. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. But, it helps me unwind some stress.

Tonight, although I didn't get the grand jackpot, I won about 750,000 NP by hitting 5 chest once while 4 stacks of gold and 4 chest twice.

:: All I Want

Thursday, November 10, 2005

My son kept bothering me to open a flash movie created by the Legends of Polaris, a big group of teen players, who won the grand prize from the recent ROSE Cheerdance Competition. I was hesitant at first to stop what I was doing but, glad he told me about it. It's amazing how these kids have the talents to create a flash movie taken from the ROSE scenes and made a music video using their characters in the game. R.O.S.E. (Rush On Seven Episodes), a massively multi-player gaming community where Paul Denise hang out online, is a World of Seven Planets that draws visual and thematic inspiration from fairy tales, fantasy, science fiction novels and literary works involving a quest for truth and meaning.

R.O.S.E. ONLINE awarded All I Want entry a PHP 20,000.00 prize, a Flash movie presented by AnDroid, CoolWinter, HyruyukooMaster, Rophalicleus, and Hardcore in coordination with LEVEL UP!

:: Happy Birthday, Junjun!

Wednesday, November 09, 2005

Birthday greetings to my eldest son, Junjun, who is celebrating his birthday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Junjun's wife, Tintin, came home late this afternoon from work. When Sweety arrived in SM North Edsa from school early this evening, I called Super Bowl of China - SM North outlet, tel. no. 9298895, and made my order over the phone. I ordered the same food we had on Sept 14th, my sister's birthday, namely: Birthday Noodles, Hunan Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, Black Pepper Chicken Hot Pot, Hunan Tofu Hot Pot, and Yung Chow Fried Rice.

When we arrived in Super Bowl of China, my daugthter and Ariane had eaten already. Paul Denise and Tintin barely touched the food because we had late lunch before leaving the house. We had a nice time when daughter, Pearl, made some jokes with the camera shots she made for Tintin. We didn't make group picture taking.

We passed by in CyberZone and bought some eLoad for Junjun before going home. After receiving a text message from my son, we called him via long distance call. We missed talking to him and we're all looking forward to his forthcoming vacation in April 2006!

HAPPY 26th BIRTHDAY, JUNJUN!

:: Bird-Flu Free

Tuesday, November 08, 2005

My sister called me this afternoon and informed me that we now have Bird Flu in Calumpit, Bulacan. I didn't believe her but she told me her applicant from Bulacan told her that many poultry chicken and ducks died of the said disease. She asked me to warn the rest of our family not to buy chicken to avoid getting infected of Bird Flu virus.

This evening, I found out later that the Bird Flu outbreak in Negros forwarded as SMS messages nationwide was a hoax. Officials and executives assured the Philippines is BIRD-FLU FREE.

As broadcast over GMA 7's 24 Oras Evening News few days ago, here is a poultry map of provinces in the Philippines that are said to be near migratory sites of birds coming from cold countries like China.

:: 2nd Sem

Monday, November 07, 2005

Second semester starts today but I didn't enrol Paul Denise this time! He's not taking his studies seriously and besides, women are running after him.

I'd thought to start fixing my son's papers to send him to work abroad. Being a Mama's Boy, it's about time he should be independent and responsible to himself and all his actions.

I just wish I will never regret this decision... so, help us, Almighty God!

:: LAN Installed

Saturday, November 05, 2005

Many thanks to Tommy Reyes, MCS Branch Manager of Starapple Computers, and his Boss, Billy Samson, for the router discount and immediate LAN installation connecting our two PCs at home. Randolf, their technician, did a great job!

My sister, Rosita, who moved in Cavite last month had local area connection in her house using Globelines DSL Broadband. She was the one who did the router configuration and encouraged us lately to do the same.

The scheduled installation was postponed in the morning because we had power interruption as early as 7 o'clock in the morning until 2 o'clock in the afternoon due to MERALCO on-going transformer repair few blocks away from the building where we live. It was unfortunate that it happened in the middle of hot weather. Whenever there is power failure, we didn't have water supply as well. Neighbors who are Bayantel subscribers were complaining that their phones had no dial tone. Can you imagine the inconveniences we're suffering if we had no electricity?

At 1:30 p.m., I inquired in a nearby store/eatery by phone if they have any idea when the power will be restored, I was told that MERALCO men informed them that power will be restored hopefully at 2 pm. I called my son, Paul Denise, from the house of my sister that he can go home then. I sent him there to charge my cell phone. We had an earlier agreement that I would pick him up and we will go together to the mall to eat Chow King Halu-halo.

Then, I also informed Tommy that they can send in their technician to do the installation because I promised my son that we will have today a local network connection. I know I should have done this since last year but, I want my kids to concentrate well in their studies.

Now, my son has no valid reason anymore to use my PC because they have their DSL internet access, too.
