State of National Emergency

Friday, February 24, 2006

While concerned citizens were celebrating 1986 EDSA PEOPLE'S POWER REVOLUTION against Marcos dictatorship twenty years ago (22-25 February 1986), Gloria Arroyo today proclaimed State of National Emergency and issued Proclamation 1017, cancelling existing permits on mass rallies scheduled today. Confused rallyists were dispersed. Couple of personalities and officials were arrested.

Gloria Arroyo who ranked 4th among The Most Powerful Women In 2005, succeeded the presidency in 2001 after PRES. JOSEPH ESTRADA forced out from Malacañang Palace by a wave of largely middle class protests and mass street demonstrations. Since she was elected as President in 2004 Election, different personalities accused her of fraud, corruption, and cheating, calling her to step-down as a supreme sacrifice amid HELLO GARCI controversy last year.

Ironically, those personalities who seated Arroyo to the presidency were the same people asking her to step down. I am not happy that these situations were happening in my country:

Case II and III: Raffled Off

Thursday, February 23, 2006

Atty. R informed me thru SMS that Case II, Declaration of Nullity of Marriage Pursuant to Art. 3 (2) in relation to Art. 4 of the Family Code, has been assigned to RTC Branch *** presided by Hon. RLP and Case III, Petition for Correction of Entry in the Certificate of Live Birth, RTC Branch ***, presided by Hon. TV.

All I have to do is wait until Case II Summon will be signed and served. I still have to pick up copies of my Petition for the above cases.

$365 M Powerball Prize

I felt a sudden sadness when I received CNN Breaking News in my INBOX that says: "Eight workers at a meat processing plant in Nebraska are the winners of a record $365 million Powerball jackpot, AP reports." None of the winners is my relative. Whoaaaaaaa!!!

Anyway, the winning numbers were 15, 17, 43, 44 and 48, with a Powerball number of 29! The eight winners, who chose to take the lump sum total of $124.1 million after taxes, or $15.5 million apiece, were:

  1. Chasity Rutjens, 29, single
  2. Eric Zornes, 40, a retired maintenance mechanic for about four days now
  3. Quang Dao, a Vietnames 56-year-old father of four boys and one girl, came to the United States from Vietnam in 1990
  4. Dung Tran, 34, a Vietnamese immigrant who has lived in the United States for 16 years
  5. Alain Maboussou, a 26-year-old
  6. Rob Stewart, 30
  7. David Gehle, 53
  8. Michael Terpstra, 47, who has been working at the plant for 16 years

In the Philippines, lottery winners get their prize LUMP SUM as the actual JACKPOT PRIZE and take note, it's TAX-FREE. I just wonder why winners in the USA don't get the actual value of what they win for?

BlogShares Math Summit

Wednesday, February 22, 2006

Randy and I attended the BlogShares Math Summit to be updated on what's going on with the said online game we had been addicted to play for about two years now!

I am still hopeful the BlogShares Game Commissioners will do some coding that will make Blogshares be an interesting online game again. After the November 7 2005 market crash, two years of game play had been devalued from 2.499 Quadrillion down to 249 billion networth. What I did recently in the game was collecting artefacts only and reading forum messages.

Anyway, this is the transcript of our mIRC summit. Enjoy!

Anticipated Phone Call

Monday, February 20, 2006

Finally, at 4:05 o'clock this afternoon, I received a call from Abdulelah's best friend, Fahad, while soul mate and I were chatting. We anticipated this phone call since Saturday. This confirmed the summon for Case I has been received.

Anyway, I was hesitant to answer all questions Fahad asked me. I was worried the call was a trap and anything I say might be used against me. However, I advised him I cannot talk with the respondent because the case has been filed already and he should consult his own lawyer for guidance as communication and/or collusion between respondent and petitioner can lead to dismissal of the case.

He said he's going to call again once he gets home and that made me more worried.

I have so many questions that bother me:

1. Is the respondent obliged to submit reply within 15 days?
2. Does the respondent needs to appear before fiscal/judge?
3. Do I have to give them the telephone number of my counsel?

All the above questions had been answered by my counsel. Thanks, God, I feel better now.

With A Little Help From Our Friends

Sunday, February 19, 2006

Mother and I arrived again early this morning to hear the only Sunday mass in the chapel near where we live. I lighted 3 candles and offered sincere prayers for the souls of all victims from the recent Sourthern Leyte landslides and also, for the faster recovery of all survivors. I had two personal intentions which I rather keep between God and myself.

Today is the seventh Sunday in ordinary time and today's homily is about A Little Help From Our Friends. An Italian Xaverian priest, FR. Rocco Viviano, said again the mass using Tagalog missalette: Kaunting Tulong Mula Sa Mga Kaibigan. He explained three important ideas today: God, Community, and our Duties & Responsibilities as followers of God. He said God can heal us but we need community's assistance to bring us closer to God and once we are healed and stronger to help others, we should encourage those weak to have faith in God and also be healed.

Today's LITURGY OF THE WORD:

  • First Reading [Is 43:18-19, 21-22, 24b-25] (Sit): Because of their sins, the people of Israel suffer the pain and humiliation of exile. But the Lord is forgiving and brings healing to his people. He will bring them back to their own land.
  • Second Reading (2 Cor 1:18-22): Jesus Christ was never anything but "yes." He gave himself totally to the Father and us. We, too, should strive to be faithful to the Lord and to one another.*

Case I: Summon Is Served

Friday, February 17, 2006

According to my counsel, the summon for case I has remained unserved last Wednesday because the sheriff reported that no one was there in the address indicated to receive it.

However, she said there's nothing to worry about since it has been served today! She advised me to expect a call from Abdulelah anytime soon. Respondent will be given 15 days to submit his answer.

Case III: Requirements Submitted

Wednesday, February 15, 2006

After completing all requirements instructed by my counsel to provide, Pacette submitted in my behalf 6 copies for each documents today and paid Php 1,700.00 for filing fee.

Both Case II and III will be filed on Monday since my counsel will draft the Petition for Case III today. My next meeting with my counsel will be on Collusion Investigation which will probably take place between March and April.

Case I: The Summon

Tuesday, February 14, 2006

Case II was supposed to be filed yesterday but, I instructed my counsel to hold it until today. I reviewed the Petition myself and was satisfied with it. She told me that the summon for Case I has been signed today and will be served tomorrow by the Sheriff.

She gave me the hint that EX will probably call me the moment he receives the summon.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

I received three different valentine's cards from my dearest one today! He's my Valentine's date this year and onwards. Then, after couple of hours, I received from Islandrose.net a surprise Valentine package:

Valentine's Day surprises

With the following message from my soul mate:

Dear Laila,

You are my Valentine and the woman I love. I am so glad we found each other and I want to love you, provide for your needs, give your family a new life, and stay with you through eternity.

God bless you on this special day for lovers and know that you are loved.

Forgiving and Compassionate

Sunday, February 12, 2006

Mother and I arrived 10 minutes earlier in Sto. Niño Chapel and I was able to light 3 candles and prayed.

Today is the sixth Sunday in ordinary time and today's homily is about God, who is forgiving and compassionate. FR. Rocco Viviano, an Italian Xaverian priest, said the mass in Tagalog using Sambuhay's missalette: Mapagpatawad at Maawain Ang Diyos (God is forgiving and compassionate).

Today's LITURGY OF THE WORD:

  • First Reading [Lv 13:1-2, 44-46] (Sit): The passage from Leviticus describes how the Israelites dealt with a person stricken with leprosy. Their fear and abhorrence of this disease serve as the background for the Gospel story of Jesus' encounter with a leper.
  • Second Reading (1 Cor 10:31-11:1): Paul reminds us Christians to be always mindful of God in our lives. Whatever we do must be done for God's glory.

When we arrived home, I recited the rosary before doing other tasks. I have many things to thank God for, and one of them is my potential soulmate's existence in our lives. He's very ideal and perfect based on my standard.

NBI Clearance

Thursday, February 09, 2006

After I transfered some funds from Equitable PCI Bank to Allied Bank, Pacette and I then went to NBI - Megamall to renew my NBI Clearance but, unfortunately, my personal copy had been submitted with the Swiss embassy in 2003. Based on instructions I have read, only those with duplicate copy can apply there thus, those who do not have duplicate copy of NBI should go to Main NBI office at Carriedo Plaza.

In NBI - Carriedo, I filled out a new application form and went through longer procedures. Upon completing Step 6, they told me to go back on the 14th to claim my NBI Clearance. If only the duplicate copy was with me, I didn't have to wait until Tuesday for the release of my NBI clearance, I could get it the same day.

Anyway, Tintin reminded me that our Voter's ID were all available for pick-up so, Pacette and I went to Parañaque City and claimed all our IDs. Now that I have completed all requirements, I am ready to submit them to start Case III on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Case I has been assigned to RTC Branch **.

Talk To Me

Wednesday, February 08, 2006

My EX Saudi Arabian hubby had been calling at home but, I didn't answer the phone. After series of failed attempts, he sent a letter through my brother Nasser, who is working for him as his liaison officer in Saudi Arabian embassy.

"Why you don't want to talk to me?" He asked in his letter but, in my mind, what else do I want to discuss with him? I want the Bigamous Marriage be annulled soon and it upsets me to hear more lies from him. Because of his action, I have to pay over a hundred thousand pesos to correct the mess he and Leila Baque created. I had been used and abused but, I will leave everything in the hands of God.

He said he still wants to see me and didn't want me to pursue with the case but, I am determined to do this once and for all.

Driver's License

Tuesday, February 07, 2006

In securing more identification as part of Case III requirements, I renewed my deliquent driver's license today. I took series of medical, drug testing, written, and practical tests. Then, I received my new license past 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon.

After LTO-Diliman, Quezon City, I was supposed to get NBI Clearance but, I saw the long lines of applicants. I changed plan and picked up instead the copy of Case I Petition from my counsel then, I submitted draft copy of Petition for Case II. I paid Php 5500 for it's filing and summon fees. Through diligent communication by my sister, Pacette, with the biological father of the kids, we finally get his contact address yesterday where summon for case II will be served. He is connected with Philippine National Police (PNP) and currently one of the bodyguards of a known senator.

We're tired but, I did some grocery shopping on my way home.

Case I: Petition Filed

Monday, February 06, 2006

A 5-page Petition for Declaration of Nullity of Marriage pursuant to Art. 35 (4) in relation to Article 41 of the Family code, has been filed today at 3:00 p.m. by my counsel.

Ukay-Ukay At Home

Sunday, February 05, 2006

Since we moved here in Metro Manila in April 2004, I didn't open 4 Balik-Bayan boxes full of clothes and 4 small boxes of files. Whether I was avoiding the memories or just too busy chatting with my soulmate, I finally had the guts to open those boxes and called my siblings to come over.

I held ukay-ukay (for free) at home for a change. Brothers and sisters had fun trying on those dresses. It upsets me that most clothes from my collections didn't fit them. Never I realized that I was taller than them not to mention, I had a very small waistline before. Out of the four boxes of clothes I want to give away, only one was taken. They suggested that I called a TV station and donate my clothes but, when i checked what remain in the box, they didn't take those party dresses!

Anyway, we spent the rest of the afternoon singing and comparing scores. Mother had fun listening to her children.

Resting In The Father

Mother and I arrived early this morning to hear the mass.. I lighted 3 candles: 2 candles to thank God and one candle to strengthen me in handling the three cases at the same time.

Today is the fifth Sunday in ordinary time and today's homily is about Resting In The Father. Another Italian Xaverian priest said the mass in Tagalog using Sambuhay's missalette: Kapanatagan sa Piling ng Ama (Resting In The Father).

Today's LITURGY OF THE WORD:

  • First Reading (Jb 7:1-4, 6-7) (Sit): In his suffering, Job gives voice to the evils and pains that beset us. In our brokenness, we cry out to God for an explanation or answer. The responsorial psalm invites us to trust God who is gracious and heals the brokenhearted.
  • Second Reading (1 Cor 9:16-19, 22-23): In preaching the Gospel, Paul has made himself all things to all. In particular, he has become weak for those who are weak. As Christians, we are invited to be compassionate: to rejoice with those who rejoice and to weep with those who weep.

I was in a hurry to go online today and I forgot to recite the rosary...

Case I: The Petition

Saturday, February 04, 2006

Pacette and Tintin accompanied me when I submitted today the edited copy of the Petition for Case I. I gave Php 5750 for its filing fee on Monday.

Three Men, Three Cases

Friday, February 03, 2006

Three Men, Three Cases have been added as new archive category today and from now on, all updates on my Annulment and Correction of Birth Records will be filed under this category for my readers' convenience and quick reference.

WHY THREE MEN, THREE CASES?

  • CASE I: Bigamous Marriage with Saudi Arabian stepfather of my kids who registered our "alleged marriage" on 19 December 1991 without my permission. I have learned about the marriage when Switzerland Embassy here in Manila showed me the National Statistics Office (NSO) copy of my Marriage Contract with him when they denied my visa application to work in Geneva, Switzerland in 2003.
  • CASE II: Annulment of invalid marriage contracted with the biological father of the kids on 11 July 1979 in spite of the fact it was duly registered with NSO. I just found out it was invalid the other day.
  • CASE III: Correction of date of birth. Chinese relatives of my father had this bad habit of tampering our birth records to prevent mother from seeking financial support, in case mother will file for child support. Those were the days that they never realized that computerization of birth records will be available these days.

These three men played important roles in my life and had caused me so much suffering even to this day.

Fortunately, the fourth man, my potential soulmate offered to correct all these mess in my life starting from the day I was born. May the Almighty God make these things easier for both of us.

Acceptance Fee

Thursday, February 02, 2006

Today, I have read and signed verification/certification against Forum-Shopping provided by my counsel and I paid 1/4 of the Acceptance Fee upon contract signing of three cases (package) Atty. R will handle for me. The rest of the payments were post-dated checks payable every 2nd of March, April, and May!

My counsel gave me the idea how the case will move and I couldn't wait until we draft the Petition and file it with the Family Court the soonest possible time.

We're busy completing requirements needed to support the cases I want to resolve soon....

N 6630

Wednesday, February 01, 2006

Dealing with lawyers and staying outside most of the time caused so much inconveniences without a gadget to use to call the kids home. So, I decided to buy an affordable cellphone, N 6630. I like its size, very similar with my stolen N 3660.

Meanwhile, the pickpocket who stole my cellphone was still using my SIM number and we traced the thief roaming around Apalit, Pampanga area.

My Legal Counsel

Atty. R will be my legal counsel who will handle both my annulment case and correction of birthdate with NSO. We had a brief meeting this afternoon and she asked me to prepare the following the soonest possible time:

  1. Last known address of espouse
  2. NSO Cetificates of Live Birth of my children
  3. NSO Copy of Marriage Contract
  4. Certification of Valid Marriage License
  5. My Baptismal Certificate
  6. Latest NBI Clearance
  7. Photo copy of valid passport
  8. School records

We will be signing the contract tomorrow upon initial down payment of Acceptance and Filing Fees of the Petition to Nullify a Marriage Contract.
