Asthma Again

Tuesday, December 30, 2008

I went to Medical Clinic alone this afternoon to have my cough checked using Medicard Pearl gave me last month.

Dra. Jacqueline Fresnoza, M.D., DFM, attended to my breathing complaint and she prescribed to me the following:

Doxofylline 400 mg tablet #5
Sig. 1/2 tablet 2X a day for 5 days: 9am - 9 pm

Salbutamol Ventollin Expectorant 100 mg capsule #9
Sig. 1 capsule 3X a day for 3 days: 8 am - 3 pm - 8 pm

Prednisone 10 mg tablet #12
Sig. 1 tablet 3X a day for 2 days (full stomach): 8 am - 3 pm - 8 pm
2X a day for 3 days (full stomach): 9 am - 9 pm

Azythromycin Azyth 500 mg #3
Sig. 1 tablet once a day for 3 days (full stomach)

I had to buy the medicines from two branches of Mercury Drug because they ran out of Doxofylline. They told me I can get it from Walter Mart Branch but it's out of my way. Fortunately, on my way home, I was able to get the said medicine from their branch near our area.

I hate to use nebulizer nor inhaler. I hate to admit I have asthma and using inhaler makes me feel very ill as if I don't know how to breathe... now, I have to condition my mind that I will feel better as I welcome the new year...

Pacquiao wins

Sunday, December 07, 2008

Randy and I stopped playing Tribal Wars and Neopets while watching the live feed of Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao fight in Las Vegas, courtesy of OpenSports Live Streams

.

The last winning punch.

Round 8, Pacquiao TKO De La Hoya

The Golden Boy and Pacman Stats

Interviewing Pacman about the fight

Both Randy and I enjoyed watching every move of Pacman. He improved a lot this time and no blood on his face. Congrats to Manny Pacquiao and to the Filipino people.

The recent fight made Pacman US$11++ million richer but I heard that De La Hoya might get over US$20 million from pay-per-view revenues.

Whoaaaaa... Balato naman, Pacman... Hoorrraaaaayyyyyyy!!!!!!!

Case III: Another Reset

Friday, December 05, 2008

Today, I feel my heart stops beating... I feel so lost after Yollie, the Legal Assistant of Atty. R, told me that as soon as she arrived in court, she was notified that the pairing judge is not available.

In short, the hearing was reset on March 6th 2009 at 11:00 a.m.

Today's scheduled hearing is at 9:00 a.m. and our case is number 6th in the court calendar. But, at 9:00 a.m., I was still on the road when Yollie called me up. It was unfortunate that no one among us showed up on time: No judge, no lawyer, no witness and I wasn't even there.

Yollie advised me to go home and she will talk to our witness when they arrive.

I found out yesterday from Yollie that Atty. R will not be able to make it to the court since my counsel is suffering from Vertigo, an illness with similar symptoms I had in 2006.

Randy was so upset that the hearing is set in March. We are supposed to request an earlier schedule but since March 6th is the earliest schedule available next year, Yollie had no choice but to acknowledge it in our behalf.

It's been almost 3 years now we're hearing this annulment case and I'm getting older. The justice system in my country is too slow and they unknowingly been wasting most of people's time, money, and opportunity.

On the lighter side, today is my daughter's 25th birthday: Happy birthday, Sweetie.

Hacktool.Rootkit

Thursday, December 04, 2008

Norton Security Alert prompted me to restart my PC as part of security request to remove a high risk malicious trojan virus, Hacktool.Rootkit, detected in windows directory.

I just logged on from an afternoon nap and I was worried that I clicked accidentally something to disable Norton and the virus was the one asking me to restart my PC. So I set Norton to remind me again in 12 hours.

To know what changes I made in Norton, I checked quarantine history and I found out that Hacktool.Rootkit remains unresolved and it recommends to restart PC. Before closing all open programs, I googled this malware, and when I realized I shouldn't allow this trojan to stay longer in my drive, I immediately closed all running programs and let Norton removed it. Twice my pc rebooted to clean up drive from the virus.

There are some auto-play worms from infected removable drives and I was a bit concerned lately about viruses because my eldest son used to burn some files lately using my DVD. Whether my network firewall has been hacked or it was from my children's negligence, glad Symantec's Norton Antivirus 2009 is doing its job well.

Hello

Monday, December 01, 2008

I was always online with Randy playing Tribal Wars everyday and Unification Wars every week.

Blogging is not my priority simply because I prefer to have privacy. Besides, the more I blog, the more web space I will need to keep this site running.

Anyway, life is good. I will have the last court hearing on December 5th. I wish the pairing judge does not have any special meeting...
