Good luck, DeniseSaturday, September 05, 2009My second son, Paul Denise, left this afternoon to work abroad. He's a Mama's boy and I am praying that he will get used living away from us... Meanwhile, Randy forwarded to me the flight details of his purchased ticket online. He will be visiting us on the 20th of December! For unknown reason, his mail went to GMAIL's spam folder and I was not able to see his message as I logged in. Anyway, his surprise email balances the pain of seeing my son leaving in order to earn few thousand bucks.

Food for the soulWednesday, July 08, 2009Randy went to bed late... but, we prayed before logging out. He played some of his favorite songs like:
Whenever he's playing the music, I browsed for its lyrics and we sang to its tune... It's hard when we're 7,000 miles apart. All what we could do is sing! Guess, we're both still adjusting...

Feeling BetterSafe FlightSunday, July 05, 2009![]() Randy and I left to NAIA at 5:10 AM. We realized we forgot to take some pictures again together. So, at the last minute, we took two remembrance shots from my N82 camera phone before he got off from the car. Seeing him leaving breaks my heart. We're planning to eat our breakfast in one of the airport restaurant but we changed our mind the last minute, to avoid the hassles Randy will deal with, at the immigration's screening procedures. I headed back home when I saw him entered the airport premises. Randy called up at 8:12 AM. He's done with all the immigration stuffs and waiting for the boarding announcement. We talked for about 20 minutes then he hanged up to board the plane. Meanwhile, mama left early while I was sleeping. She received a call from Ate Neth's place that she should be there to assist the electrician on what to repair. I only found out that she left when my daughter arrived. Sweetie was surprised that Randy's not around. She misunderstood me and she'd thought he was leaving on the 19th. She was sad because she's planning to treat us out to a buffet dinner... Anyway, Randy left already via JALWAYS Flt No. 746 with connecting flight to Los Angeles, CA (LAX) - TOM BRADLEY International Terminal then he will take a local flight back to San Diego. Have a safe flight, Randy!

20th NightSaturday, July 04, 2009The moment of truth has come once again... Randy will be leaving tomorrow at 9 AM. Days passed by so quickly. His luggage is ready for tomorrow and we're supposed to leave to the airport at 5:00AM. Mama visited to spend the weekend with us. Daughter promised to visit us tomorrow.

Firefox 3.5Friday, July 03, 2009Randy and I upgraded our Firefox browser to version 3.5. Several times FF crashed whenever we're running TW scripts. It's too late for us to reverse what we have done. In the meantime, Randy baked two loaves of bread and Devil's Food Cake. We served the dinner late waiting for my daughter to eat with us but she seemed busy with her magazine launching. We watched couple of CSI episodes in DVD to keep my mind off from things that will just hurt my feelings. I had chest pain lately.

Grocery and billsThursday, July 02, 2009Randy and I left to Trinoma at past 10 AM. We paid first some bills before we had a KFC meal for breakfast then we did some grocery shopping. We bought some baking ingredients for the cake and other kitchen stuffs. Randy loves cooking and baking. That made us a good match as I love to eat and clean the kitchen.

July 10 DeadlineWednesday, July 01, 2009Since last night, I had difficulty breathing after I posted my blog entry. I have been taking Stresstabs for the past two days. At 10:23 AM this morning, I called up Atty. R and she reminded me that we have until July 10th to submit our Motion For Reconsideration, in case I will not file a new one. To file Psychological Incapacity as ground for Case IV Nullity of Marriage, I must see a psychologist first, along with four credible witnesses, for evaluation purposes whether I can file a case or not. Schedule is set temporarily set on July 11th... Glad Randy is very understanding and supportive...

BorderlineTuesday, June 30, 2009LBC delivered this morning the copy of the Decision Atty. R sent to me yesterday. I read all the pages while Randy was listening. More than three years of my life had been wasted hoping to get the freedom from the marriage that supposed to protect me and my kids but, unfortunately, I raised my kids all by myself for the past 25 years. The last time I saw the biological father of the kids was during the Snap Election in February 1986! I reviewed the 1987 Family Code of the Philippines. We're victims of consequences due to weak implementation of laws to protect the interest of women and children. Why apply the law on my situation now but, failed to apply the same law when my children and I need financial support? In fact, most of our men ran away with their responsibilities, remarried, and abandoned wife and children giving nothing. Yesterday afternoon, I called EF at 3:20 PM. I found out from him that the biological father of the kids have two children to a woman he's currently living with. Whether he married her or not is not my concern anymore. I just wanted to get out from our marriage which existed in papers only. What am I going to do? I feel so lost. If we file for Motion for Reconsideration, the Judge will still ask for the log book that doesn't exist anymore. The Civil Registrar who issued the certification under my name died in October 2006, long before he could testify. If we file for a new case, Nullity of Marriage due to Psychological Incapacity, I will go through the same process again. But, hey, I am 49 years old. What future is waiting for me if I will push through with it? Legal proceedings in the country took many years to be resolved thus wasted precious life, opportunities, and money of many people involved. May God give me the wisdom and the time... at least, enough to fulfill unfinished business and promises...

Case III: DeniedMonday, June 29, 2009Atty. R called at 8:19 in the morning and informed me the bad news: Petition for Annulment was denied! She explained to me everything and mentioned most of the complainants with similar case had been denied as well, including the son of a judge. We have two options left: Submit a Motion for Reconsideration and/or file a new case for Psychological Incapacity, which will bring us back to square 1. Filing fee will cost me 6k plus Psychological Test 25k, a total of 31k! To date, I lived separately from the biological father of the kids for about 25 years and 1 month. Why I couldn't get an annulment to a fake marriage that didn't have a valid marriage license? I have been a responsible single mother to our three grown up kids, and all I want is a formality to dissolve the marriage which was valid in papers but not in reality. The biological father of my children never supported us since we parted ways in May 1984. In 2003, I had lost an opportunity to work in Geneva, Switzerland, when the Swiss Embassy presented my marriage contract and denied my visa application. God knows how much I wanted to correct my life and be married in the church. I was only 18 years old when I married the biological father of the kids. I didn't know they cheated me by faking the Marriage Contract by putting a fake Marriage License Number issued in Cardona. Call me noob that time but aren't we all one on our first marriage? Lucky are those who kept their marriage intact but for those who were unfortunate like me here in the Philippines, we couldn't get out of our marriage even 25 years of abandonment had passed. My concern now is Randy. How long is he going to wait for a 49 year old mother of three to be free? To our Lawmakers who author Divorce Bill Law, can you please give me a chance to be happy, now that my children are all grownups now? Can you please include an expiration date to a failed marriage, like five years, so affected parties can move on legally with our lives? Three years and four months of my life had been wasted with this Annulment Case. To the judge who made the decision, I know you're just doing your job and whatever happens to us in the near future, may God intervenes and make things easier for me, Randy, and the kids...

Relaxing SundaySunday, June 28, 2009Randy and I missed the Sunday morning mass when we woke up late. Although Mama came to spend the weekend with us, I forgot what day was it until we pray the rosary. My daughter was busy with her magazine deadline and she wasn't able to spend the weekend with us but she promised she will come on Saturday, before Randy leaves to San Diego. Meanwhile, Mama left at noon to attend church service, after knowing my daughter will not be able to visit. We spent the entire day doing laundry and watching Disk 7 and 8 of CSI Season 1. The weather was good and we're able to dry fast our clothes. Randy has been busier conquering villages on w10 while I did some Neopets flash games. He's happy that he ranked 10 on TW Stats W10 Achievements.

Closed AccountThursday, June 25, 2009Randy and I woke up early this morning to do some shopping. We changed first some US dollars (Series 1996) at Banco De Oro (BDO) then we deposited some money in Allied Bank - North EDSA. We walked on our way to SM North EDSA where we had our breakfast at McDonalds before doing our grocery shopping. We're almost done with the shopping when Junjun and Tintin meet us at the counter. They are going to Parañaque and I want them to close my ABC savings account there which has been inactive for two years. Banking with BDO is faster because they are accessible in malls from 9 AM until 7 PM unlike Allied Bank that closes at 4 PM. I still have an active checking account with Allied Bank in Parañaque City even no longer living there, since 5 years ago. The Bank Manager there is my friend. Randy and I enjoyed our shopping but in spite of full freezer, we're lazy to cook something for dinner so we just ordered Family Super Supreme and Pepperoni Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut. Junjun and Tintin arrived late in the evening while Randy and I were watching the continuation of Season 1 of CSI. They told me that they closed my account and balance was deposited to my current account.

28 Hours No InternetWednesday, June 24, 2009Randy and I woke up early so we can go to the bank at 9 AM. Unfortunately, we couldn't leave until Bayan DSL contractors showed up. At noon, some linemen from ADTEL came and yet, they annoyed me to the max! They said, the service order to transfer our phone line and DSL were wrong. They said someone else, not them, should fix our line. Still annoyed, I called Bayan Hotline 4112000 and Anne answered my queries. I also talked with Vince Dimaculangan, Anne's supervisor, and informed them about the ADTEL boys who came over our place. After an hour, Lumen Cruz (Tel. No. 4498046), a Bayan Account Manager called up and tried to know my DSL concern. I told her more than 26 hours now we do not have internet. Then, Raffy aka Rafael F. Chavez, another ADTEL guy came over at 3 PM. He checked both DSL and phone line and left. I wanted to call Bayan Hotline again but I found out our phone line has no dial tone. I sent SMS to Bayan 09178932189 to inform them we have dead DSL and phone line. In between these BAYANTEL drama, Randy and I were watching the continuation of Season 1 of CSI. Oh! Well... funny how both of us forgot those episodes we watched in 2007. At 4:45 PM, Raffy came back and bundled our phone line and DSL by using a splitter. At 4:47 PM, BAYAN phone line is working but DSL internet worked for 30 minutes and DSL went dead again. We didn't have internet access again for 45 minutes. After I called Tech Support, Randy and I gave up the internet, moved away from PC and laptop, then watched TV. Although I don't know whether I should pay the current telephone bill covering 6/13/09 to 7/12/09, I'd like to thank Chris for helping us bundled our phone line and DSL so I have to pay only one monthly bill. I subscribed to BAYAN DSL Plan 2699 on August 02, 2006 but upgraded to Net Basic Plan 1024 on September 11, 2006 in less than a month due to crappy dynamic internet service. Net Basic Plan is bundled with a single phone line but I didn't get the free phone (for two years) for some unknown reason until I applied for a single telephone line on June 05, 2007, after 9 months of waiting to have a bundled phone line from Bayantel. Today is a very stressful day. Glad Randy is here with us in Manila. 28 hours of no internet access will be too much for me and Randy to be apart that long...

No InternetTuesday, June 23, 2009Glad that Randy and I claimed our planets in Unification Wars game and stored our packets in Tribal Wars before our BAYAN DSL went dead at past 1:00 in the afternoon. We called several times to Bayan 4112000 to reset our DSL connection but unfortunately, they couldn't detect our modem anymore. A Service Order to transfer our DSL has been dispatched and we were advised to wait for field technician. As Chris promised us when we met him at Team Bayan Forum First Eyeball, he will help us bundle our phone line with DSL. Unfortunately, no one showed up today to fix our internet cable. Typhoon Ferie will be passing Metro Manila estimated at 9 PM and currently under signal no. 1 alert. Randy and I had been moving the clothes in and out to keep them from getting wet. Since the Bl@st Prepaid Internet card we bought ran out of load, there is no way for us to login online and store again our packets before retiring to bed. Although furious with Bayan DSL, we took advantage of the situation and we started watching Season 1 of CSI on DVD.

Quiet DayMonday, June 22, 2009Randy and I were supposed to go to the bank but due to bad weather, we decided to stay home and watched more DVD movies. Since our Bayan DSL went down couple of times, it's quite annoying to call Bayan tech support and asked them to reset our connection to their server. Kids were furious about the internet's intermittent connection and they watched HBO movies instead.

Happy Fathers DaySunday, June 21, 2009Randy and I hurriedly attended the 7 AM Sunday mass at Sto. Cristo Chapel. The homily was about Faith and Fear, in relation with the Father's Day celebration today. After the mass, we went to McDonalds and had our breakfast. We brought some breakfast for the kids, too. Pearl and Mama visited us in the afternoon. She brought her WII toy and we had fun with its games. We served Spanish Rice, Grilled Pork Steak with corn as side dish for dinner. Dinner was good. We barely have space for fruit salad and ice cream. Junjun presented their surprise gift to Randy, a Maong Jacket! Everyone had a wonderful time... Happy Father's Day to all! Meanwhile, Bayantel contractors replaced wet DSL cable to improve internet performance. ![]()

Relaxing WeekendSaturday, June 20, 2009After doing our laundry, Randy and I watched some movies in DVD and later ordered Family size Viva Lasagna from Pizza Hut. Since we purchased a palm card, we also get one 1.5 liter of Pepsi and Family size Pepperoni Pizza, for only Php 954.00! Randy didn't liked the taste of Viva Lasagna so we might try the old pan pizza favorites next time.

Grocery Shopping at LandmarkThursday, June 18, 2009After the big breakfast, we went to Landmark Supermarket in Trinoma to do some grocery shopping. Randy was itching to cook stir fried veggies for dinner so we bought some other stuffs we can use for the next couple of days. As usual, he was tempted to bake my birthday cake but I stopped him from buying two boxes of cake mix. All of us should lose weight and must eat healthy meals. It's a pain to carry those heavy grocery bags up to the fourth floor, especially if one of my sons are not available to help carry them all upstairs. After dinner, I managed to move Randy's May 2005 blog entries from blogdrive to his new server. I edited and replaced his background image to his favorite ship, Eliott, and also added some side bar links. I had to be careful editing those theme layout pages as I am not familiar with PHP tags. It's getting late and our eyes were hurting from too much exposure to monitor.

Laundry DayWednesday, June 17, 2009Randy and I did couple of laundry rounds in spite of bad weather. Whenever there's heavy downpour of rain, we went out to the balcony and move the clothes to a much safer place. Strong winds short circuited one of the newly installed light post that I had to call MERALCO HOTLINE 16211 in fear of power failure in our area, should a nearby transformer exploded. In less than 30 minutes, MERALCO Field Electrician came over and fixed the problem. In between our online activities, BAYAN DSL kept disconnected and I was furious that I had to call 4112000 to beg them to reset my internet connection in order to access the internet again. What's unfair, I am hooked up to a business plan but the residential 899 plan and my plan get the same bandwidth speed.

Relaxing DayTuesday, June 16, 2009Randy and I decided to relax today by watching Iron Man and Hulk in DVD. We also played UC, TW, and Neopets mini games after we had our dinner. I received Randy's birthday gift to me: A Health o Meter digital weight tracking scale plus many thanks to Randine (Randy's eldest daughter to first wife), for the fancy watch with matching bracelet. ![]() The watch and bracelet fit well...

Randy is now in ManilaMonday, June 15, 2009At 8:30 PM, I left to the airport to pickup Randy at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). His flight was delayed for about 35 mins and plane landed at 10:30 PM. It was raining when he finally showed up at 11:00 PM at the arriving passengers waiting terminal. Thanks, God, Randy arrived safely, in spite of bad weather.

Randy left San DiegoSunday, June 14, 2009After we recited the rosary, Randy left to San Diego Airport at 10:00 AM, going to LA, then to the Philippines via Tokyo. We're too busy preparing here at home for his arrival.

Airline TicketThursday, April 30, 2009Randy purchased his round trip ticket to Manila to visit me on June 15th. It has been 8 months since the last time he visited me. Financial crisis hit his household and he's being taxed more now as a single man after he got his divorce in 2006, in spite of the fact that he's supporting two families. Both Randy and I are getting older and the court cases wasted too much of our precious years.

Case III: To Be ContinuedWednesday, June 18, 2008Randy arrived today via Philippine Airlines PR 103, from Los Angeles via Guam then Manila. His flight arrived an hour earlier so I had time to drop him home before going to Regional Trial Court. Tintin and I arrived at RTC at 8:30 am but, we entered the court room at 11 am. The pairing judge was hearing the case of a minor rape victim so we had to wait outside until the inquest's done. Our case is number 9th in the court calendar. The authorized representative of the Mun. of Cardona, Rizal, testified but, she will again testify on Sept. 24th. The pairing judge had to hear the rest of the cases and it was already past 11:30 am. As usual, I paid my lawyer and my witnesses their appearance fees. I didn't know how we got home. My mind was flying, I was worried how I will explain to Randy that there will be another hearing set on September 24th at 11 am. At home, even though Randy was disappointed, there is nothing we can do but, wait for the next hearing.

Happy Birthday, RandyWednesday, October 31, 2007I was choosing a birthday card for Randy when this song, You're My World by Helen Reddy kept sticking on my mind, with accompanied music. So, my daughter provided me the above youtube video... and, I lovingly dedicate this song to my dearest Randy. Happy 52nd birthday, Randy! Youre My World (Lyrics) You're my world, you're every breath I take As the trees reach for the sun above You're my world, you are my night and day With your hand resting in mine You're my world, you are my night and day

Case II: NSO AnnotationThursday, October 25, 2007Pacette picked up the three (3) annotated copies of my live birth from NSO - East Avenue, with the following remarks: "Pursuant to the Decision dated March 13, 2007 rendered by Judge T of the Regional Trial Court, National Capital Region, Branch XXX, Metro Manila, under SPE. PRO. NO Q-06-XXXXX, the date of birth of the child is hereby ordered corrected from May 26, 1960 to June 6, 1960." Certified Correct by Lenna L. Bosito (Archivist) We're done with two cases and I am looking forward to Case III's last hearing on November 12th... many thanks to Randy for making these things possible. Speaking of Randy, it's the fourth day he does not go to work. All classes are suspended due to wildfires in San Diego. It's unfortunate that another Sta. Ana winds is forecast on Sunday, which might make the wildfires worse. I have stomach problems and suffering from diarrhea... I slept the whole day but the Skype was on and Randy talked to me from time to time updating me about what's going on. I couldn't talk much because I feel vomiting. I was able to eat something only at past 9 pm.

Wildfire sizeWednesday, October 24, 2007My daughter and I were curious to know the size of San Diego Wildfire and the only way to find out is find the map of the Philippines. ![]() Arrggghhh... it's like 5-6 times the size of Metro Manila! Anyway, I was mad early this evening because I didn't have Bayantel DSL connetion for almost an hour. I called several times but no one's answering. When DSL was restored, I couldn't do anything either. I had Bicol Express for lunch and since then, I feel like vomitting. When Randy comes back online I was still chilling, I couldn't find any reason why I had a fever. Randy sounds sick as well and been coughing. After we recited the rosary, I logged out so both of us can rest. The air quality in San Diego is getting worse.

What comes nextRandy told me the authorities are doing their best to handle the situation. Half a million residents evacuated already and hotlines 211 for fire info; 511 for traffic and road closures; aside from 911 emergencies, are on standby to those who remain at home. ![]() Firefighters get break from winds, aircraft and chopper attack the flames with water, calming the tail of Harris Fire on advancing near Randy's area. I could hear most of nbcsandiego live news feed via Skype while Randy and I are playing uc. On the lighter side, Randy's daughter, Judy, bought me some game points in Tribal Wars - World 10. I started playing it two nights ago while busy monitoring the situation in San Diego's website while Randy was at work. It is past 11 pm on Randy's side, he said the fire near his area was put out, no orange skies but, no one knows what comes next, when everyone is asleep....

Still At HomeI hurriedly logged online as soon as I woke up and found Randy still at home... ![]() Randy has been watching news all day. He said that it is the biggest catastrophe in San Diego's Fire History. Sta. Ana winds started last Monday (Sunday in San Diego) and will last for some time. The Qualcomm Stadium where the Chargers play is the new and biggest evacuation center at the moment, after Ramona Fire spreads out to the previous evacuation centers. Civility reigns at San Diego Stadium, evacuees enjoy live band and lavish gourmet buffets. Donations flooded evacuations centers... I will blog more later... my entry kept disappearing... will check with Ploghost, my webhosting provider about this...

Possible EvacuationRandy and I had been monitoring the whole day the wildfires in San Diego County. ![]() In fact, Randy was sent home from work so he can monitor the safety of his household. Based on the above map, an evacuation might be possible, depending on latest advisory prior to movement of fire. All major highways are closed to traffic, air quality is real bad, and everyone is advised to stay indoors. Cases of looting had been reported by homeowners who abandoned their homes. It's hard for me to accept that this is happening in Randy's place... I hope, as I wake up tomorrow, he's still there at home, safe, and waiting for me to come online...

Case I: NSO AnnotatationThursday, October 18, 2007I have two good news today, first one is... Pacette claimed in my behalf three (3) NSO SECPA copies of void Marriage Contract (Case I), from NSO Releasing2 Section, East Avenue this afternoon, with the following remarks: "Pursuant to the Decision dated January 25, 2007 rendered by Judge T. of Regional Trial Court, National Capital Judical Region, Branch XX, Metro Manila under Civil Case No. Q-06-XXXXX, the marriage between me and Abdulelah is hereby declared void from the beginning." Certified Correct by Adoracion M. Valenzuela (Archivist) Pacette failed to pickup the three (3) NSO SECPA copies of corrected live birth certificate (Case II) because NSO didn't add the remarks made in 2003. This is the second time they made a mistake. First one was last year which Pacette corrected with Legal Instrument. Pacette had to go to Vibal Bldg and secure the copy they corrected last year. My sister got the corrected copy and submitted it to NSO East Avenue for correction. She has to come back on the 25th this month to claim it. Errr... that's not the second good news, though, which I want to blog about... The second good news is that... Randy purchased a round trip ticket SFO-MNL-SFO via Philippine Air Lines departing San Diego on Friday, Dec 21 at 09:05 PM and will arrive Manila on Sunday, Dec 23 at 05:40 AM. I set my count-down timer on: 65 days to go before Randy's next visit... Anyway, am happy we're done with Case I and if Pacette will pickup on the 25th the NSO corrected live birth certificate, that means we're done also with Case II. One more hearing on Case III to take good care of on November 12th, and we will be waiting for its decision and finality before verification, which will take us also several months. Aw... am getting older, though, why the Philippine government does not consider Divorce Bill Law, so the men in my country don't get away from their duties and responsibilities... and, stop their double-standard marriages. It took Randy and Rose to finalize their divorce in just 6 months (USA). Why spoil the fun and happiness of older folks like me and Randy going through all these difficulties of setting me free from the marriages I had only in papers???

Randy's Back In San DiegoWednesday, October 17, 2007Randy is back in San Diego at 11:01 pm his time (2:01 pm in Manila), two hours earlier than his scheduled arrival. In spite of bumpy flight, glad he arrived home safely. We're waiting for him to log in to Unification Wars so he can reset his DP before going to bed. Since Randy and I started playing UC, no one among us go on Vacation Mode (VM) even if he's travelling for over 20 hours. Even if his Firefox browser was acting up, he managed to reinstall it and played the game at a faster DSL connection. I know my Bayantel DSL sucks while he was here in Manila. On the lighter side, Randy was pleased at how Judy and Carlos maintained the house while he was away. In the evening, Randy woke up early and we prayed the rosary before he left for work.

Case I: Certification is releasedThursday, September 27, 2007Pacette and I arrived at Civil Registry - Legal Section, Manila City Hall at 10:00 o'clock in the morning and claimed the certification from Sally that my marriage to Abdulelah is null and void. We are supposed to go to NSO to do the annotation but we do not have enough time to do so. We had a quick breakfast at Jollibee then went to Eddie's Furniture, paid the 5 pc Dragon Wooden Sala set, gave them my address where to deliver the items and presto! Thirty minutes after we arrived home, furniture was delivered, assembled, and we moved some stuff around the house. ![]() At past 7:00 o'clock in the evening, Tintin and I did some quick grocery shopping. I got lost again at the SM - North EDSA grocery because every time I went there, they were moving things around while remodelling the store. Since two months ago, things had been like this and I couldn't complete the stuff I needed. I have learned from the cashier, remodelling will be done in November. I was annoyed on our way home because I didn't find the cheese I want for the burger. At past 9:00 o'clock in the evening, everything is ready for Randy's arrival... he will be happy to know that we're almost done with Case I...

HailstormMonday, September 10, 2007As the residents in Barangay Holy Spirit in Quezon City experienced brief hailstorm this afternoon, which is unusual in a tropical country like the Philippines, I had another kind of storm... 4 doz combinations of deep burgundy and lavender roses and a box of Bruges fine belgian chocolates were delivered by Islandrose.net... another lovely surprise from Randy!!! ![]() I placed the flowers on Randy's computer table! Randy's message in the card says: "Just a little surprise to let you know I still love you. Can't wait to see you again in person." Whew! It looks like these lovely flowers are his assurance that even if I gained some weight, it does not matter to him... it depresses me lately that instead of losing weight, I gained more this time and it worries me to death...

13 Million PlanetsThursday, August 30, 2007Whew! I have now 13 million planets after I claimed 62,000 planets from space programs this afternoon before I went to the mall to pay bills. A.Miner Empire: LailaTheNight #752714 LailaTheNight's Empires' Balance Sheet Taxes: +103,103,847,833 LESS: Fleet Upkeep: -4,125,466,056 Profit / Lost: + 99,070,129,993 As for TOP 100 EMPIRES, these are my rankings: I switched to RT LARGE before I went to the mall alone and had buffet snack at Cabalen while waiting for my daughter. When I got bored waiting for her, I went to SM Customer Service and paid bills then do some window shopping in the basement. When Pearl and Shiela arrived at Cabalen, I meet them there. A/C was bad after a brief power outage and I had been sweating a lot. Tired of watching people eat, I went to Slimmers World located in the mall basement and talked with Emily. I'd like a REFUND to the programs I paid in advance but couldn't use them unless I lose some weight. She promised to contact me if she finds someone who is willing to take my program instead. When Pearl and Shiela followed me in Slimmers World, I was too tired to buy groceries. All what I bought was a stainless ash tray for Paul Denise and a trash can with cover. Guess I should consider losing weight, I got tired easily or maybe I had been playing too much online games and I have been real inactive physically. At home, I blogged a little and did not play the game after Randy and I prayed. Randy received his plane tickets today and am looking forward seeing him again here in Manila on September 28th...

Court NightmaresFriday, August 10, 2007My online friend, John, sent me a yahoo message and said, "Major nightmares in getting that marriage tossed out. Been reading that part of your blog." I didn't get well what he meant by that so I asked. "That legal problem you have been working on for several years. I thought it was complicated in the USA... in 10/2006 mom was taking out a loan. Found out the house was still in dad's name even though they had been divorced for 36 years and he had been dead for 1 1/2 years. Her divorce lawyer never filed the papers. I just spent 5 months 4 court hearings and $1,400 in legal fees getting mom's Will probated. Then had to refile again because it said "Executor" and not "Independent Executor" which is required by Texas State Law. It was crazy. Probate Judges in Texas are picky because they can be held liable if they make a clerical error. Good luck on your court nightmares." "In the 1950's The Judge got 10% of the estate as a fee. Now they get US$ 40. My lawyer was charging me $210/hour which is cheap. On average they charge US$ 350/hour. Good thing Randy is a patient man. Next you will have to deal with the INS (US Immigrations and Naturalization Service). What you will have to deal with if you move to the USA." "Immigration laws here are crazy now. Difficult to even get a Visa. Takes 5-7 weeks to even get a passport. I let mine expire. Have to get it renewed. In trouble if I have to make a business trip out of the USA. First time I got a passport it took 4 days. Difficult if you look at the laws for the first time." While I was worried about the immigration procedures Randy and I will deal with, someone buzzed at the gate... two dozens of deep burgundy roses and a box of Bruges Belgian Fine Chocolates from IslandRose.net had been delivered. Guess from who? From Randy!!! Randy's lovely surprise kept my mind off about court nightmares... in my heart, I know God will open all paths for me and Randy. We had been good to our children, we deserve utmost happiness any souls desire...

Case I: CTC of Marriage ContractTuesday, August 07, 2007Tintin and I arrived at Civil Registry Office in Manila City Hall at 9:00 o'clock in the morning. I went directly to Legal Section but the clerk who checked my documents asked me to submit the latest Certified True Copy of marriage contract. In another counter, I filled up a request for CTC, then submit it to the guy who wrote down data, then asked me to pay Php 30.00 to the cashier. Upon payment, the guy in another counter cut off a portion of my request and gave it to me. He told me to claim it tomorrow morning at 9:00. Upset, I went to Public Assistance counter and asked whether they can expedite the release of my CTC request but, since most of the employees assigned in the Marriage Records Section are new ones, retrieving of documents is a bit slow. On our way back home, Tintin and I decided to do some shopping at SM - North Edsa. It was about 9:45 am, and the mall was closed to the public until 10 am. We sit down and had breakfast in McDonalds instead. After the breakfast, I bought a heavy duty stapler in National Book Store while Tintin was duplicating two keys. Then, we did a quick grocery shopping. Budget's tight and we had 9 bags only of grocery stuffs this time. Right after we came out of the mall, we're lucky to get a taxi cab. When we arrived in the building where we live and unloading the grocery bags from the trunk, the taxi driver closed it. I was shocked and told him there's one more grocery bag inside. He pushed the trunk down twice instead of opening it for me. I was serious when I ordered him to open it as there's one more grocery bag inside, and I saw the last grocery bag there full of veggies. Upset, I handed him Php 100.00 but, instead of giving me the Php 45 change, he started the engine and fled away. In that very moment, I couldn't do anything but capture the taxi driven by the run-away driver. He fled with my Php 45 change. Since the moment I was loading the groceries into the trunk and he never offered some help, I sensed already the taxi driver's negative aura. He doesn't help also unload the groceries, which rarely happen. Randy and I always give tips to those who deserve it but this one might have a big problem that he wanted my grocery bag so badly and planned to take it away... ![]() Dishonest taxi driver, plate number TKG 697 As soon as I logged online, I hurriedly told Randy about everything. But, he didn't liked the idea that I will not pick up the CTC tomorrow in exchange of playing DeathMatch. He said our papers are more important than Unification Wars game. Errr... speaking of Unification Wars game, my online friend, John, dropped me some meaningful lines... he wants me and Randy doing more of a real life thingy instead of playing online games. I told him both Randy and I are just killing time while waiting for our documents to be done. John said he reads my blog and follow my life in words and he believes that Randy is like a knight in shining white armor... glad to know that my online friends are wishing me and Randy best in life and happiness...

Another 50k PlanetsFriday, July 06, 2007I received once again 50,000 planets for winning 2nd place in the Unification Wars' Most Popular Empire, with 17 clicks on my vassal link by fellow fedmates and site visitors. ![]() A.Miner Empire: LailaTheNight #752714 LailaTheNight's Empires' Balance Sheet Taxes: +46,884,406,943 LESS: Fleet Upkeep: -1,549,050,036 Profit / Lost: + 45,412,908,758 Speaking of Unification Wars, Randy and I were watching our stacks in the Outpost when he decided to take a soda in a can. For some reason, on his way back to his PC, he stepped on the wet ceramic floor, slipped down with his jaw first. It happened so fast he didn't even know what happened until he saw himself lying on the floor. He showed me the bruise on his chin via webcam and it was reddish. Times like this, I was scared he won't be able to walk again just like what happened with him in 2004. When he left to bed, I had been busy doing my laundry and kitchen stuffs while waiting for him to come online. I was worried his implant might have been pushed down into his jaw bones... it's past 9 o'clock in the evening when he logged in back. We're unable to recite the rosary due to lack of time. He said he will see his dentist next week to find out why his front teeth are somewhat loose. His voice doesn't sound good either. He blamed it on a hot weather now in San Diego but, very cold temperature at his workplace. 'Though am very much worried, I hope God will watch Randy for me...

Happy Valentine's Day 2006Wednesday, February 14, 2007Randy told me yesterday not to go anywhere today. Wednesday is my grocery shopping day because Pearl and Junjun are at home. I didn't liked to do shopping on a weekend for two reasons: one, too many people; and, fewer taxi. Well, since my car had been carnapped, I never had thought of buying one. This morning, when I logged online, Randy's already there waiting for me. He's happy he finally transferred/registered his name on his car. His car was registered under his wife's name and his wife's car was under his name. It sounds complicated but he should have done it last year when he got his divorce papers. Next thing he has to do is get new internet and cancel the one he's using because it is not under his name. This divorce thingy caused him so much inconveniences but, glad he's free now from tall tales and lies... Meanwhile, the Unification Wars game helped us kill that waiting period before he gets here in Manila. We even forgot to trade our owned shares in Blogshares because we're too busy playing the other game. We're enjoying the game because our fed mates and fed allies are supporting each other when out of Damage Protection (DP). I gained about 100k planets this morning due to great Outpost (OP) provided by Randy and our fellow fed mates. When Randy logged out, I logged out from the game, too. There's so many things to do at home. I was done with two batch of laundry and was moving everything in my room to place another PC table when I received two dozens of long stem deep burgundy roses and Belgian Sweets chocolates (in two boxes) from Islandrose, a Valentine's Day gift from Randy. Randy makes me feel an 18 year old young lady at the age of 46! Thank you for the roses and chocolates, Randy, hugs and kisses to you (Randy) and Happy Valentine's Day to all...

Grrrrr to MeralcoFriday, February 02, 2007I woke up very early today than usual. Since I was out of Damage Protection, I did something in Unification Wars to avoid huge planet loss. Unfortunately, no one has posted their reinforcements in the Outpost (OP) except Biovirus and Dodger. The latter posted over 500 Million PR while Biovirus has lower than 25% PR (of my total PR) in his OP. Anyway, as soon as I built my first ship, I got attacked and I had lost over 60k planets. Then, Randy arrived home from work and as I was selling the blogs we normally trade in Blogshares Fantasy Stock Market everyday, my UPS blinked. A sign that we had a power interruption! I've waited for about two minutes hoping the power would come back, but, then, I decided to logout and close all my programs. Maybe I was too slow, it's hard to shut down PC knowing power outage does not take that long. I was still voice chatting with Randy when all of a sudden, my UPS shut down my PC, modem, and router. I then called Randy to let him know what happened. Bored, I went out in the Balcony and looked down at the national road. I checked for possible reason what have caused the brownout. I even asked my student neighbor whether they also have power interruption. Convinced that the brownout is not only limited to our apartment unit, I called 16211 Meralco Hotline at 9:15 in the morning. Guess what they told me? There's a scheduled replacement of post in our area and power would be interrupted from 8:30 am until 2:30 pm! Shocked, I yelled at the guy who answered my call. I asked why they didn't announce it on TV while I do watch the news from morning until in the evenng. I then immrediately called Randy in San Diego to tell him I won't be able to login back until after they replace the post at past 3 in the afternoon. Living in this building caused us inconvenience whenever there is power outage. No power, no water! How I will deal with my boredom if I cannot do anything? I couldn't do some cleaning without water nor sleep without fan or aircon. Anyway, I called the parlor which is just opposite the building and I had my hair treatment (without blower), foot spa, and pedicure. I even consider going to the gym and release my disappointment with the irresponsible Meralco employees for not informing the people in our area of the scheduled interruption. Randy and I had been exchanging SMS thru Yahoo! At home, I called again Meralco at 2:45 pm. They said we're going to have the power back anytime starting from my last call. Randy decided to go to bed at 2:55 pm. As he shuts down his PC, our power has been restored. I jumped out of bed and called him. David answered it and called Randy. It's too late on his side and I told him to go ahead while my PC loads windows. On the lighter side, both Randy and I missed each other so much. The time seemed quite long and boring. Due to their negligence to inform us in advanced, it cost me couple of overseas calls to get in touch with Randy. Times like this, I hate the incompetence and lousy service of big companies in this country. Like PLDT, grrrr to Meralco!

Trojan SpiesTuesday, January 30, 2007After Junjun scanned Paul Denise's PC yesterday and disinfected 59 viruses, he scanned my PC this evening using Kaspersky Lab and he found five (5) malicious trojan spies in my inbox:
Since we changed our D-Link Router to Wireless-G Linksys Broadband Router, we had difficulty with our Firefox browser whenever Paul Denise turned on his PC, browser's internet connection resets all the time. This had been going on for the past couple of days now and it's kind of annoying closing all open windows and reconnect back to Unification Wars. This game is browser based and missing my turns was not very nice at all. Anyway, the above viruses were modified and had been sending out confidential emails to an unnamed hacker. This email was the one I sent to spoof@paypal.com due to the email's malicious site pretending to be from Paypal. Whether they know all my login account and passwords, I just leave it in the hands of God and whoever this hacker who sent me the malicious trojan spies, may God bless you something you deserve. Meanwhile, I'm very happy that FEDEX delivered Randy's roundtrip ticket SAN DIEGO-SFO-MNL-SFO-SAN DIEGO today. In my excitement, I set my timer countdown to monitor the number of days, hours, minutes, and seconds of his arrival in Manila.

Both IllSaturday, January 20, 2007Randy and I are somewhat ill. He catch a bad cold. It's very cold in his place, San Diego, while it's hot and humid here in Metro Manila. He has to use heater and I have to run a/c most of the time to avoid coughing when exposed to warm air. Anyway, our voice chat early today was also interrupted by network reset. When Randy logged out early to sleep, Junjun fixed our network connections. So far, while I'm waiting for Randy to come online this evening, my browser has not been reset yet since my son did something with our local assigned IP addresses. It appears that whenever one of us login, any active connections are reset. And the only way we could get back the browser running is to shut it down and turn off the modem and router. Well, I hope we don't have to send the router back to Tommy. Meanwhile, Paul Denise bought me Robitussin for my cough. I sent him to get me a Vicks Formula 44 cough syrup but it's not available in Mercury Drug, kind of out of stock. I'm waiting for Randy to come online before taking the medication, or I might fall asleep and won't be able to recite the rosary. I was just upset, knowing he's sick and I couldn't do anything to make him feel better. Please get well soon, Randy!

New AddictionTuesday, January 09, 2007Randy and I had been more addicted today playing [SFU] Unification Wars. We both feel that our time is too short to play this game. To play the game, we have to wait for a full 45 turn to initiate next game move, fill rate is about 5 mins and 10 sec. It's 45 turn for paid (RT +1) player, 30 turn for free account. We could barely dedicate some of our time watching our favorite TV shows in San Diego due to this new addiction. So far, I am still analyzing the game through Randy's guidance. I hate wars and wish not to attack other players but sometimes, I have to protect the systems under my control. I can only play peacefully once my account is placed under DP (Damage Protection) for over 24 hours. Randy restarted his game for a better distribution of his Science Research and Projects while it was too late for me to do the same because I already did my research before building up my wealth. The game is based in Singapore and the Taiwan earthquake in December 2006 slows down most of our internet activities until now. Hundreds of players are playing this game around the world and the lag annoyed us! However, the article written by Erwin Oliva in inquirer.net, Internet remains slow for many Philippine users that says something about PLDT: "PLDT said it was almost done restoring Internet and telephone services by re-routing Internet traffic" made us laugh. PLDT myDSL provided slow DSL internet way back in March 2006 and has ripped off lots of their subscribers, including me, for charging us for the service they couldn't provide anymore. Until to this date, I still have rebates for the months of May, June, July, and August from myDSL broadband service I already paid but they didn't give me the rebates due me. So far, my phone was illegally disconnected and in spite of payments made to reconnect it, they still failed to reconnect my phone line. Whether this is strategy not to return my money, well, it's not funny to see a giant telephone company victimizing a low income family like mine. Anyway, what made me addicted to [SFU] Unification Wars is their market. Randy and I both ended up trading the minerals the systems produce for game $$$ to purchase ships and other minerals my systems do not produce. ![]() Many thanks to Danny87, our game Lord, who donated $24.384 Billion credits and 4.064 Billion Food credits into my game account. I sold 3B for $45B. Whether a game Lord would be beneficial for me and Randy or not, I realized that we couldn't declare independence until we gain a million honor points from the game!

Happy 50th BirthdaySaturday, January 06, 2007Happy 50th Birthday to my elder sister, AT, who is currently working in Hong Kong. I spoke with her over mother's cellphone when Mama called my sister to greet her. Mama had been bugging me so early in the morning why she couldn't send text or get her voice call through. Maybe this is one reason why I woke up so late... Anyway, speaking of phones, I paid Php 750.00 to Marissa for a new residential telephone line application with Bayantel (PhonePlus, Ref 125126). She dropped by to pickup my payment to Bayantel, who is my current DSL internet provider (since August 2006) and thanks God, I didn't encounter serious internet problems, so far, compared with PLDT myDSL. PLDT kept ripping me off with a promise of restoration of phone line if I will settle the blah blah amount, only to end up waiting for three months already without phone line. We had lost valued contacts and potential income from online auctions due to incompetent and unreliable PLDT service beginning April 2006 through this blogging moment. Oh! Randy sent me videoclips and photo images which we had taken on our way to the airport. Here is one copy: ![]() Randy is late again this evening and I guess I would take a nap while waiting for him to come online so we can recite the rosary together via Skype... he went to bed past 2 am and he's still adjusting himself to San Diego time. Besides, he started playing Unification Wars which to my surprise, I can hardly understand how to play.

PlogHost WebhostingFriday, January 05, 2007Randy sent payment to PlogHost XOOM account, for ladylaila.net's Custom Plan 1G webhosting package (PlogHost Invoice #4185) from 01/13/2007 thru 01/13/2008, in the amount of US$ 186.00 (US$11.00 service fee included). That's US$ 175.00, a total of Php 8,400.00: Php 7,500 for one year site webhosting plus Php 900.00 (12% TAX)! Three years ago, I just started with Plan 75 but in less than a month, my site had been inaccessible due to bandwidth overload. Next thing I did, I upgraded my plan to the next level but, the site suffered the same inconveniences until I ended up with a Custom Plan 1G to meet bandwidth and server load needs. Less than two months ago, I paid the amount of Php 2,016.00 (PlogHost Invoice #4022) on Nov. 20, 2006, for ladylaila.net's Domain Renewal Fee for 3 years, covering the period 12/13/2006 thru 12/12/2009. Meanwhile, the internet is so bad today that I couldn't watch Judge Judy, two episodes of NCIS, and Shark via Skype due to intermittent internet connection caused by Taiwan earthquake. However, the slow connection didn't stopped us from voice chatting on Skype and we even played some of our favorite online games together. I gained some picture pieces from the World Challenge and converted 4 picture gallery which I collected from Moon Rock Rampage, Toybox Escape, Typing Terror, and Web of Vernax. The latter game didn't award me any picture pieces even if I won a picture piece. According to The Neopets Team (TNT) custom message: "It looks you have collected all the pieces for the picture(s) in the world that this game is set in or have not converted the completed picture yet, so no piece has been awarded." So, I had thought to convert all the 4 picture gallery, that's a total of 80 picture pieces and each one could be sold in my neoshop for 25,000 NP each, that's approximately about 2 Million Neopoints. Upon converting the pictures, I got 8,000 NP plus Striped Paint Brush, Brown Paint Brush, Usuki Paint Brush, and Mutant Petpet Paint Brush, which would give me a total of less than a million NP if I want to auction them. Anyway, in spite of our enjoyment playing online games, I was wondering how much ladylaila.net webhosting package (and domain fee, too) would cost us in the next five years... many thanks to Randy for his continuous support to this blog, otherwise, I probably shut this down and/or move this blog to a public server.

Back in San DiegoThursday, January 04, 2007Today is such a boring and idle day... the smell of brewed coffee in the morning reminded me of Randy. The kids are back to school and it's very quiet here at home. Randy's back in San Diego and went online at past 4 pm (12 MN PST). I didn't know where he got all his energies as he was able to check some news online, read his favorite blogs, then, posted his blog's entry. In the evening, he woke up early and we prayed the rosary before he left for work. I knew he didn't get enough rest but he assured me that he's fine and well. Anyway, now that he's back at home in San Diego, we're also back voice chatting (wearing our headsets) in spite of slow internet connection.

Happy TripWednesday, January 03, 2007Today is Day 19 and last day of Randy's fourth visit in Manila. As I arrived home this evening after I dropped Randy at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Centennial Terminal 2 (NAIACT2), I was so tired and idle. Traffic was terrible and I got home via Manila, instead of the usual EDSA route. After couple of minutes, Randy called me from Public Pay Phone 028796132 at 6:39 pm. He has the Boarding Pass ready and just waiting for boarding time. He's going to Los Angeles [LAX] via PAL PR112 departed at 2125H and will arrive at 0420H* (Airbus 343). He has about 4 hours transit time at LAX Int'l Airport with connecting flight to San Diego but, he would try the earlier flight home, if he's lucky to get one. Earlier today, we served big breakfast for the kids before packing all his things while we're voice chatting with his kids (in San Diego) via Skype. After he posted his blog's entry and read some online news, we watched the last two episodes of HOUSE - Season 2: "Who's your Daddy?" and "No Reason". We have seen most of the episodes online in Season 2 few weeks back but, what's funny, we could hardly tell how the episode ended. He wanted to leave DEAD LIKE ME, HOUSE - Season 2, and MEDIUM DVD but, I told him the kids would love to watch the first one while I prefer to watch those episodes with him online. So, the two complete season of DEAD LIKE ME will be my kids' favorite DVD to watch for couple of weeks. Back to Randy, we had Taco at past 3 pm for lunch. While eating, Pearl handed him a souvenir photo in a native motif frame: ![]() We tried to shoot a YouTube movie clip but the server wasn't working until it's time for me and Randy to leave. On our way to the airport, we continued recording some movie clips using his Sony Digital Camera and he promised to send me the copies once he arrive home and upload them on YouTube. Anyway, it's late in the evening here and I have to go to sleep soon but, without Randy around... the plane has departed and I wish Randy a safe, peaceful (no kids crying on board), happy trip... ![]()

Happy 70th BirthdayTuesday, January 02, 2007Today is Day 18 of Randy's fourth visit in Manila. After doing the morning routines, Randy and I went to SM Shopping Mall - North EDSA. He bought tools for household use and to make Junjun's project easier. We got also some stuffs for his kids in San Diego, an adjustable garment rack for me, and some more grocery items. We're suppposed to eat out and treat Mama to celebrate her 70th birthday but she's suffering from Diarrhea again and couldn't make it so we decided to stay home instead. Randy and I watched couple episodes of HOUSE today while he's assisting Junjun on my son's amplifier project. The kids have high respect for Randy and I'm happy they get along well. Anyway, the big dinner we're planning for tonight has been cancelled and we'll treat Mama on Randy's next visit instead. Afterall, we had enough from the recent holidays and we ended up having light dinner. Pearl brought home some sandwiches from McDonalds and Jollibee this evening. To Mama, Happy 70th Birthday! We love you and get well soon...

Happy New Year 2007Sunday, December 31, 2006Today is Day 16 of Randy's fourth visit in Manila. Also, Randy and I celebrate today our One Year Anniversary (of being engaged). This morning, we got up early so we could go to mass at 7 AM at Sto. Cristo Chapel. The Italian priest, Rev. Fr. Viviano, said the mass in Tagalog, and I had to translate to Randy some words so he could understand the homily. The kids joined us later, because they were so slow dressing up. The first reading was 1 Samuel 1: 20-22, 24-28. The second reading was 1 John 3:1-2, 21-24. The Gospel was Luke 2: 41-52. The mass was about family. After church, Randy, my kids, and I went to McDonalds for a good Filipino big breakfast, then when we arrived home, mother arrived a few minutes later. I prepared her a heavy breakfast as she suffered from Diarrhea for three days. When Randy finished checking his mail, he then helped Junjun with his amplifier school project. We then watched the last 2 discs, Episodes 218-223, of CSI (2nd Season): "Chasing the Bus", "Stalker", "Cats in the Cradle", "Anatomy of a Lye", "Cross Jurisdiction", and "The Hunger Artist". I doubted whether we can watch all the Complete Episodes - First Season of MEDIUM and Complete Episodes -Two Season of HOUSE. Then, later in the afternoon, Randy and I were supposed to celebrate our 1st year anniversary outside but I decided to stay home and attend the 10 pm mass this evening. This upset Randy a bit but then, he cooked instead and served Beef Steaks, mashed potatoes, and corn, for dinner while I made the gravy. Randy was kind of sick and collapsed while he's cooking due to exposure to heat and high humidity. Glady, I was just beside him and caught him before he fell on his knees on the floor. Junjun guided him to go back to the room and was able to cool down infront of the a/c. Although exhausted, he managed to have dinner with me, my kids, and my mother. After dinner, Randy and I watched Passion of Christ while I napped in between some scenes. It was past eleven in the evening when we finished watching the movie but, we missed the 10 pm anticipated mass already. We all went instead to the Balcony and watched the fireworks display. The kids and Randy had fun recording video clips while I was contented watching them. Since we're on the fourth floor of a building, and we never bother to use any firecrackers to welcome the New Year. I wouldn't like my kids to lose their fingers or hands. Well, anyway, although we had lost Alexandra in September and we have been through many difficulties this year, I still thank God for the wonderful 365 days of 2006. Randy, my kids, and my family, have been there for me all the time. As we're waiting for the last second of 2006 to end, I'm too excited to welcome year 2007. For me, the beginning of a new year always bring some kind of hope, better luck... In 2007, I'm wishing you all A BLESSED and PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR and HAPPY 1st year ANNIVERSARY, RANDY!!!

Buffet Dinner at Dad'sSunday, December 17, 2006Today is Day 2 of Randy's fourth visit in Manila. Randy and I had recited the rosary first before going to our buffet breakfast at the hotel's Penthhouse by the pool. We arrived late and all tables had been taken but there is one available under the sun. For less than 30 minutes of sitting under the sun, I had some sunburn on my face and neck! Anyway, the breakfast was good. We're back to our nest after our breakfast and had a brief nap, as Randy is still adjusting to our local time. Since we have an appointment with the kids later in the afternoon, we got up and we watched more CSI Disc 2, Episodes 205-207: "Scuba Doobie-Doo", "AlterBoys", and "Caged" while waiting for the kids. I had been checking the kids occassionally whether they had been preparing or not. Junjun, Paul Denise, Pearl, Tintin, and Shiela were waiting downstairs for over 30 minutes at the hotel parking when I remember to call them up again. They had thought we're going downstairs ourselves and calling us had not been an option. Anyway, we hurriedly went down and meet the kids. As the kids welcomed Randy, we handed them their Christmas presents while we're on the way to hear the 5 pm mass. At Sto. Domingo Church, we're happy that the place is big enough to accomodate all of us in one bench. The first reading was Zephaniah 3:14-18a, the second reading was Philipians 4:4-7, and the Gospel was from Luke 3:10-18. The message the Father put out was about sharing. After the mass, we went to Dad's Restaurant for Ultimate Buffet Dinner. We have a 6:30 pm reservation for 15 people but we arrived there 30 minutes earlier but, the place was almost full. So while waiting for Edith, Vera, Sherwyn, Delia, and Ate Neth, we started enjoying the Filipino, Japanese, and American dishes. Ate Neth arrived couple of minutes earlier than Vera, Sherwyn, and Delia and as usual, we had fun talking about the latest happenings in Better Living Subdivision, where we once lived for 16 years! Guess what I found out from Delia about PLDT? They were billed by PLDT for VIBE dialup internet even though no one among her family members are using internet at their home. Also, they were shocked that until to this writing, PLDT does not restore yet the illegal disconnection they made on my phone line. We're upset that Edith, the manager of Allied Bank, was unable to join us. She's been wanting to meet Randy whenever I talked to her over the phone but, we're surprised she didn't make it again this time. At 9:30 pm, we decided to leave and called it a night. Everyone had a feast, enjoyed the stuffed toys, and the dinner! Kids dropped us at the hotel and we watched Disc One, NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigation Service: "Yankee White" and "Hung Out To Dry", before retiring for the night.

Randy arrivesSaturday, December 16, 2006Today is Day 1 of Randy's fourth visit in Manila. I arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Centennial Terminal 2 (NAIACT2) at 5:30 a.m. to pick up Randy. Philippine Airlines Flight PR103 (from Los Angeles) arrived Manila on time but, unfortunately, Randy spent two hours inside the terminal waiting for his delayed baggage at Carousel No. 5, while I was impatiently waiting outside for him. Alas! When he went out of the terminal, he saw me right away waiting for him. As we loaded his luggage into the service van, he excitedly told me what took him so long. It's really nice to have him back, after almost four months of voice chatting with each other on Skype, after his last August visit. As we mutually agreed upon earlier, we checked in at Imperial Palace Suites, Room 702, as our celebration of knowing each other (in person) for a year now! We stayed at Room 1005 in the same hotel last year between December 23rd and 31st. Randy spent about 26 hours flying/transit/transfer from San Diego to Manila and we rested for couple of hours, right after we had an American breakfast. We didn't sleep that much though because I want Randy to adjust himself to Philippine time. As we got up, showered, and prayed the rosary, he gave me a Bulova Swiss wristwatch and showed me his new one, too, as our Christmas presents. Then, he showed me all the kitchen stuffs he brought for us, including our favorite TV Series in DVD he wanted me to watch: CSI, NCIS, HOUSE, DEAD LIKE ME, MEDIUM, and PASSION OF CHRIST. Using his GateWay Duo Centrino Laptop, we watched CSI: Crime Scene Investigation Episodes 201, 202, and 203: Burked, Chaos Theory, and Overload. Then, we heard some noise outside from rallyists who gathered in the Timog Circle shouting "PGMA being a liar." We're watching those people from the room's Balcony and we have noticed that there's a Chow King restaurant just opposite the Hotel. We went down and crossed the street. We had Pancit Bijon and Lauriat Sweet 'n' Sour for dinner at Chow King. We had a closer view of what's going on with the rallyists. I even planned to take photo of Randy along with the protesters but, I have seen in the news in the past that foreigners are not allowed to participate in any political rally so, we scratched that idea and had a peaceful dinner instead. Before we could finish our dinner, the rallyists marched away and after couple of minutes, a van of ABS-CBN TV Network parked right there in front of us but, they're too late to cover the rallyists' activities. Nothing unusual has happened with the protesters and as we had finished eating, we went back to the hotel and watched episodes 204 (Disc 1) and 205 (Disc 2) of CSI: "Bully For You" and "Scuba Doobie-Doo". We barely finished the last one as we both had fallen asleep. So far, we had great time together: away from our kids, PC, and internet... WELCOME BACK, RANDY!

Missing RandyFriday, December 15, 2006Time is running too slow today... As I woke up this morning and logged online, Randy left home already but, I received email from him while he's in Los Angeles Airport. He said that he'll be boarding the plane soon going to Manila. Sigh. Am missing Randy so much but, I know, he'll be here soon... I find comfort browsing YouTube music videos. We had thought of making one for us, too, if we understand how this thing works... (You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman again, Randy. Thank you for being there...

Heads Up, LadiesThursday, December 14, 2006I had been pretty busy preparing the house for Randy's fourth visit . Both of us are too excited to see each other again after his last August visit. This morning, Randy logged in late. His daughter told me on Skype Voice that he called and will be late an hour more since he will pass by to the store on his way home. When Randy arrived home, he told me that it took him couple of hours to do the equipment maintenance in front of a camera. His video footage will be used for teaching purposes. This afternoon, while Randy and I were watching Medium via Skype webcam, I called Jun Mondejar of Equitable PCIBank after I received SMS from him. He informed me the feedback from ATM center that it might take us between 7 and 16 days tracking period to find out where my missing PhP10,000 went. Last Saturday, the said amount had been accidentally withdrawn from my Visa Electron Card after a failed transaction in Metrobank ATM in SM Supersale outlet. Inconveniences brought by this wired transaction error had been affected many depositors and clients this is why I prefer to pay cash than use my card to avoid double charges. Meanwhile, Randy and I were both upset with the reactions posted by some players in the Blogshares Forum Gallery so I had thought to share this joke from Bilal Basit for a change: "In the hospital the relatives gathered in the waiting room, where their family member lay gravely ill. Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and somber. "I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news," he said as he surveyed the worried faces. The only hope left for your loved one at this time is a brain transplant. It's an experimental procedure, very risky but it is the only hope. Insurance will cover the procedure, but you will have to pay for the brain yourselves..." The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a great length of time, someone asked, "Well, how much does a brain cost?" The doctor quickly responded, "$5,000 for a male brain, and $200 for a female brain." The moment turned awkward. Men in the room tried not to smile, avoiding eye contact with the women, but some actually smirked. A man unable to control his curiosity, blurted out the question everyone wanted to ask, "Why is the male brain so much more?" The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and explained to the entire group, "It's just standard pricing procedure. We have to mark down the price of the female brains, because they've actually been used." (End of Joke) Well, many thanks to Bilal for this laugh.

Nokia 6233Sunday, December 03, 2006This morning, daughter had been going back and forth in Unit P to get her cellphone back. On the third visit, she met the culprit and immediately returned to my daughter her lost SAMSUNG D500 cellphone but, without its cover! My daughet, Pearl, found out that a sim card had been inserted based on new messages sent under sent folder. Its unbelievable that this old taxi driver would know how to turn off that unit unless he's well familiar with high-end phones. Pearl also mentioned that she saw our neighbor was using a PDA when she's knocking at the taxi window. She calmly ignored her as if she didn't hear nor see her asking for her cellphone that was left at the spot where she moved her butt. Anyway, although we know she was just forced to return the unit, thanks to God daughter recovered her cellphone back. Living without telephone line set us back as we had lost contact with friends, families, and clients. I hate PLDT for causing us all this inconveniences. I still have to draft my complaint letter to NTC against PLDT's illegal disconnection of our phone line, a possible strategy to avoid returning my rebates for DSL payments I made since last May this year when their DSL service turned into a nightmare! Since daughter had sleepless night worrying about her cellphone, only Paul Denise accompanied me to hear the 5 pm mass at the Lady of Hope Parish near Cyberzone SM North EDSA. Today was the First Sunday of Advent and the first reading was Jeremiah 33:14-16. The second reading was 1 Thessalonians 3:12-4:2 and the Gospel was Luke 21:25-28, 34-36. Rev. Fr. Bart Sagadal said the mass. After the mass, we went to Smart Communications and upgraded my Plan 1200 to Plan 1800. While waiting for approval, we had dinner at Pizza Hut with Pearl, Shiela, and her sister, who all meet us at Smart Business Office. After an hour, we went back to Smart, my plan had been approved and a NOKIA 6233 unit has been given for free. Its lock-in period is two years but I could get a new unit for free by June 2008! I'm happy with my NOKIA 6630 so I gave the new cellphone to Pearl, who will be celebrating her birthday on the 5th. As a bonus for my son, Paul Denise, for being faithful today, I told Pearl to pass on to her brother her SAMSUNG D500! Then, I instructed her to auction Paul Denise's old cellphone unit for cash as her birthday allowance. Meanwhile, Randy had been ill these past few days and fixing electrical wiring at the attic made his flu worse. I felt bad that I couldn't do anything as we are 7,401 kilometers away from each other. Anyway, we have only twelve days to deal with and we're going to see each other again. When he logged in the morning (on his side), I told him that I got a new NOKIA 6233 from Smart! I sold some blogs that we're trading in Blogshares and then we recited the rosary before he went to hear mass with Judy and Carlos. I then logged out and went to bed.

Celebrating ThanksgivingFriday, November 24, 2006The 7,401 km distance between me and Randy didn't stopped us from celebrating Thanksgiving Day together online! In fact, we started it early right after we recited the rosary together, we watched the NBC's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Special held in New York from 9 am until 12 noon NYC time, via Skype video, while Randy was busy preparing ingredients for his special dishes. It was about 3 am (Manila time) when I was sleepy and decided to go to bed. I had slept for few hours only and I cooked spaghetti and fried chicken strips. Paul Denise and Pearl were able to eat before going to school and I logged in at past 7 am. His laptop was in the kitchen while we're video chatting. I had thought to take some shots of what he's cooking without his knowledge: ![]() Randy had been busier this time running here and there while our webcams were on. ![]() Devilled eggs took pride to be one of his dishes tonight. ![]() Sliced Hams toppled with Pineapple and cherries were ready to serve. ![]() Pickles and Olives were all set as well. ![]() Randy's mashed potatoes specialty dish. ![]() Pieces of flavored bread were stuffed in his yummy roasted Turkey. ![]() This roasted Turkey looked yummy. ![]() Randy celebrated Thanksgiving Day with daughter Judy, Judy's Carlos, his son, David, and of course, I was online with them eating, too! When the foods were set, each one of us shared three reasons why we're thankful and celebrating Thaksgiving Day. Then, we said the blessings and we all had fun eating. Both Randy and I are looking forward to spend next year's Thanksgiving Day together. I hope everyone had a great one this year, Happy Thanksgiving Day!

DELL Inspiron 6400Tuesday, November 07, 2006DHL delivered DELL Inspiron 6400, Intel Core Duo processor T2300E (2MB / 1.66GHz / 667MHz) Randy purchased for Pearl this afternoon. ![]() Daughter's excited and happy that she got a new laptop. Gloria's eVAT, however, made us Php 6,396.00 poorer... Anyway, thank you very much, Randy, for fulfilling my daughter's wish! You're indeed a wonderful man and I was so touched with the way you care for my children. Wish God will return the blessings to you a thousand-fold. Behind the overwhelming excitement we had this afternoon upon receipt of my daughter's laptop, PLDT had been always a kill joy! They disconnected my phone line for not being able to pay over Php 34,000 for phone line subscription only for which amount was intentionally charged into my account for giving up PLDT myDSL subscription in August 2006. If the media would like to investigate the irregularities this giant telephone company had been doing against their subscribers, I would love to furnish them my complaint letters and proof of statement of account wherein I am supposed to be given a refund instead of charging me their monthly DSL fees, even if I already surrendered the unit in August and had been given up on hoping they will be able to fix their service. I was wondering how many subscribers are suffering like from this PLDT telephone company!

Happy Birthday, RandyTuesday, October 31, 2006This afternoon, my sons are enrolled in the same school but will be taking up different courses. This evening, Pearl installed Creative PC CAM 750 and also Windows Office in my PC in preparation to my online date with Randy who will celebrate later his 51st birthday on his side, as soon as I login tomorrow morning. I'm so excited to celebrate Randy's birthday online. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RANDY, with love and devotion from all of us!!! Meanwhile, I talked with a certain TJ c/o PLDT Hotline 171 regarding high charges on my latest two statements. I had been wanting to send them a complaint email but since I didn't have office program installed in my pc, I kept delaying drafting the complaint. I terminated already PLDT myDSL since August when I got Bayantel DSL subscription but, to my surprise, they kept charging me with unbelievable charges until to this date, even if I already surrendered their modem and cable!

Flowers and ChocolatesMonday, October 30, 2006In spite of supertyphoon "Paeng" (international code name: Cimaron) that slams the Northern part of Luzon, Randy has this special way of surprising me with flowers and chocolates! As he logged out at 4:31 in the afternoon to go to sleep (they're back on local standard time effective today), in a while, I received a surprise from him! Two dozens deep burgundy long thornless stems rose and Belgian sweets from Islandrose.net had been delivered. ![]() Flowers look better beside my monitor! I am so lucky to have a thoughtful man like Randy! Meanwhile, my daughter, Pearl, found a Logitech Premium USB Headset 350 from Cyberzone computer shop. When she comes back, both Randy and I had voice chat again on Skype and we're able to recite the rosary in the evening before I logged out to sleep! Sweetie Pearl made a good purchase since the headset is SKYPE recommended USB product. Well, it cost Php 2,600.00 only to enjoy supreme comfort and stereo sound with digital clarity.

SurprisedMonday, September 11, 2006Wow! Ten days I didn't publish any blog entry? Well, maybe I was so selfish not to blog the latest news about me lately but, rest assured that I am well and very, very happy. Many thanks to the man who made me really a special one, Randy! Guess what? This afternoon, Randy surprised me again with two dozen bouquet of Roses, chocolates, perfumed candle, and Passion room freshener from Islandrose.net! He's sweet indeed and I love his style of surprising me... ![]() When he logged out to sleep, I went to Bayantel with Tintin and upgraded Sky DSL Plan 2699 to NetBasic 1024 kbps Business package, with 4 free static IP address. It will cost me Php 3,300.00 (US$64.00) a month, inclusive of taxes! Since I switched to Bayantel last month, we always experienced intermittent connection, especially this week that our modem kept dropping my connection and resets all the time. It's kind of annoying though but it's more convenient to deal with Bayantel tech support because they can reset my DSL connection instantly unlike PLDT staffs who kept promising me a technician had been dispatched yet no one is coming to visit us to check what's wrong with our DSL connection. We didn't stayed that long in Bayantel Customer Service. We then did some grocery shopping at SM Supermarket and I got shocked with what I paid for 21 bags of groceries. The cashier, Judy Pelanog, told me that they made some price adjustments again this month. With what I heard, I remembered that Randy mentioned to me that prices of goods went up as well in their local grocery stores. Budgetting lately had not been easy. Everything is going up and the Filipinos' quality of life had been quite difficult nowadays.

Sonnet of the GalaxyWednesday, August 30, 2006This morning, I woke up as early as 7 am but, decided to turn off modem and router then went back to bed. I got up again when headache and congested chest bother me due to severe coughing. I was surprised it was almost 9 am when I got out of the shower. Randy's already online when trillian logged on. We voice chat through skype while I was playing Rose online. He's watching National Geographic Channel featuring Osama Bin Laden and the 911 while I completed a Luna quest, Sonnet of the Galaxy (Visit Mildun to bring back a Spare Mana Engine for the Flying Vessel), through the help of a fellow Rose Online player. I gave up doing the quest last night after playing for three consecutive hours. My son, Junjun, said that I should go to Goblin Cave and attack all goblin swords only but no Selloin document has been dropped. Junjun tried to complete the quest himself but when I logged in back this morning, I found out the quest is still active. Anyway, I went to B2 in Goblin Cave and finished the quest in less than 10 mins. Goblin guard held the precious document to fulfill a Luna quest and I gave it to Aphonso, an NPC character that serves as a transit point from Junon Polis to Luna. The quest requires that players should be at level 70 to do it but, I did mine at level 59. When I confronted Junjun about it, he was laughing and told me that he has forgotten how he did his quest. Tintin invited me to "party" at Arumic Valley (Luna) while waiting for Randy to go online, to share experience points and loots according to level, since she's eleven levels ahead of me. I gained another level and managed to get 1 skill point. Meanwhile, Randy was late logging online this evening. I had to call his phone number couple of times to let him know that I was waiting for him online. He had a dream that it was weekend and had thought of waking up late, only to find out he's too late for work. I recited the rosary alone before going to bed.

Going Back To San DiegoTuesday, August 22, 2006Randy and I woke up early and recited the rosary before we went to McDonalds, SM North EDSA, to have breakfast at past 9 am. Kids were all sleeping and we didn't bring them with us. After our breakfast, we then did some grocery shopping before going home. We've planned to buy some ingredients to make taco for lunch but we ended up buying one full cart of goods. Shopping with Randy was fun. He's quick on finding items in the grocery and he seemed to know the place more than I do. We got some breakfast from Jollibee for the kids after the grocery. We wasted no time as we got home. He kept all the goods we bought in proper places while I was busy pressing his clothes. We're both packing his clothes when delivery guys from Abenson arrived. They delivered the LG 11.5 kg. washing machine Randy purchased 7 days ago. It was so wide it didn't fit in the door, we had to let it pass through kids' room window. Time is running so fast today. After we removed the old washing machine and cleaned up the mess, he then cooked the meat for taco while I was cutting lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. Taco made by Randy was so yummy I had eaten two big tacos. Kids enjoyed eating with us as well. They had been throwing jokes on me by stopping me to eat more. Behind those smiles, we know deep in our hearts that we're going to miss Randy around... When Jhun arrived at 6:30 pm, we then went downstairs with Randy's luggage, off to the airport. Paul Denise carried it for Randy because he severely hurt himself yesterday. On our way to the airport, I called Egay, who is celebrating his birthday today. He talked with Randy also and wished him a happy trip. HAPPY 36TH BIRTHDAY, Egay! At the airport, Randy called me up as I arrived home and we talked for about 30 mins before his final boarding. I can hardly believe ten days is over and he's going back to San Diego again.

Going To Hong KongFriday, August 18, 2006I am flying with the kids and Randy to Hong Kong at 1455 H today via PR 306 for a long weekend relaxation and fun. Eric Kwan, our fellow BS player, will be meeting us at Marco Polo Hotel (Hong Kong) at 1900 H to have dinner with us. Randy is here in Manila for about 6 days now and I had been late blogging due to busy schedule. Not to mention that I got a new ISP and new PC. I didn't find time to transfer all files and it's a pain to retrieve passwords. We will be back from Hong Kong on Monday afternoon. My apologies for not blogging lately but, there's nothing to worry about as life is great with us. I will update this blog once we're back here in Manila. God bless us all...

Welcome Back, RandySunday, August 13, 2006I picked up Randy at 5:00 o'clock in the morning at NAIA Centennial Airport 2. In the afternoon, we attended the 5:00 o'clock mass with the kids and mother before we proceeded at Kamayan's Restaurant in Ortigas. ![]() Papa, Mama, the kids, my brothers, sisters and some of their kids, along with Vera and Sherwyn had fun with ultimate buffet dining...

Trip ConfirmedSaturday, August 05, 2006Thanks, God that Randy's online when I logged on early this morning. He told me he bought a new modem even his ISP is willing to provide him a new one. All he wanted is to be there for me without any delay. And, guess what? He made the reservations with Yahoo! Travel to visit Manila for ten days and he's already confirmed. His RT tickets will be delivered by Fedex on Monday. He went to bed late at 2 am this afternoon, that's 5 pm my time. We had late lunch then and my eyes were still tired, so, I decided to stay home instead of going to the gym in the evening for Body Former and EndoSlim treatment. There's on-going 3-days sale at SM North Edsa since yesterday and traffic is congested in that area. Perhaps the kids and I will try to do some shopping after the Sunday mass and use the Php 800 worth of Home Rewards Gift Certificates I got from PLDT Business Office few days ago. Randy wants to visit Hong Kong and we might meet our fellow Blogshares player, Eric Kwan, for three days. We might bring the kids with us if the flight is open. The kids are excited to go to Disneyland but hesitant to leave their PCs behind for three long days. We're looking forward to Randy's visit here in Manila very soon...

Randy's Got No InternetFriday, August 04, 2006For the first time since I chatted with Randy online for the past two years, he got problem with his internet connection. We were voice chatting when suddenly he went offline from all the programs he's logged into. As I called him via overseas call, he told me he didn't have internet. I even joked with him to check whether PLDT bought SBC internet. Before he abruptly disappeared online, he was able to tell me the good news. He can visit us for ten days, upon checking his class and dental schedules. I even advised him to check with Travel Agency the airlines' rates, to compare ticket price. Somehow, as he logged in back in the evening, we're able to recite the rosary. He suspected his modem overheated and he told me he will buy a new one on his way home from work. Meanwhile, I went to Slimmers' World without Pearl and Denise. They have something to do at home and excused themselves from joining me. I did the following: There are more exercises I had to do but some women used the equipments more than they should so I decided to go home instead. Working out without my kids is no fun... My BP after the workout was 130/80.

EndoSlimSaturday, July 22, 2006Randy and I watched Twister and Hard to Kill, instead of playing in Blogshares. I have seen both movies before but, it's nice to watch anything with Randy, anyway... As soon as Steven Seagal's movie ended, Randy went to bed, so I can meet my sister, Ate Neth, at Slimmer's World. Pearl and I arrived on time but, as usual, Ate Neth arrived after an hour. There was heavy downpour of rain and she was just opposite the building where we are. Ate Neth was looking for a certain Jenny who had been patiently inviting her to try Slimmer's World new body modification programs. It took her this month to give it a try but, Jenny wasn't around so Emily Cruz, a figure consultant, accomodated us and explained what programs suited us. My sister and Emily were discussing about the programs while I was just listening. Emily quoted me the ideal program that suits me for three months, a 6-10 lbs loss a month or money back guaranteed! She quoted over 50k and I find it too much so I asked to reduce the program good for one month only and I will just upgrade if I liked its effect. Tha plan she made for me are: After I deposited 2k, Pearl and I bought something to wear for the gym. Emily gave us free trial of endo slim this evening, which cost about Php 1800 for an hour of treatment. I tried it at 7:30 pm while Pearl and Ate Neth used the gym. At home, I browsed for endo slim and Slimmer's World website online but, I guess, they don't have it published. I told Randy about this program and he thinks it's a good idea...

AnxietyFriday, July 21, 2006I woke up weak and tired. Mama woke me up with her text message and before I can reply to her, Papa called up. I told him everything went smoothly although I didn't know yet the result of my X-RAY and FBS/CBC tests, which I will pick up at 1 pm today. Then, I chatted with Randy. He wants me to relax and take everything easy. He watched America's Got Talent but, I was busy preparing to go to the QCGH OPD. I left the house at 12:30 pm but didn't shut down all my running programs. At the hospital, I dropped my card at the counter so they can get my records while Pearl went to the Pathology and X-RAY Lab to get the reports. Pearl handed me the result while Joel was looking for my records. I didn't know whether I should thank God or not, because both results were normal! When Joel got my records, I went to Room 17. All doctors were eating their lunch and then, they left for the usual Friday conference. That time, I didn't know yet whether FBS/CBC result was okay. I was then accomodated at past 3 pm. The doctor who read the results told me both results were normal and asked me to go to ENT - HNS instead at Room 12, just beside the OPHTHA clinic. The ENT doctor checked both of my ears. He's surprised that my ears were clean because he said it's not healthy to clean our ears everyday. It should be done twice a week. I told him the dizziness experience I had when I want to move sideways while sleeping. Next thing we tried was I sitted on a bed with my legs straight. He fixed my head at 45 degrees to the right and asked me to lay down fast with my head hanging in the air. He pointed the flash light on my eyes. There was no pain nor dizziness. We repeated the same, with my head at 45 degrees to the left. He didn't find anything wrong. Next thing, he asked me to walk forward in a straight line with my other foot forward behind the other one, with my eyes closed. After hitting the wall, he told me to stop. The result? I'm normal and didn't have problems when it comes to balancing control! Knowing from my record that I underwent series of tests, he told me dizziness could be symptoms of many disorders, just like ANXIETY. "ANXIETY?" I asked with surprise. "You mean, nervous breakdown?" He nodded. He asked me if I had been worrying lately before going to bed or if there is something bothering me that might trigger the dizziness I experienced when I laid my head on the pillows. Anyway, he advised me to continue taking Betahistine Serc 16 mg (tablet) for the next three days and I will see him again on Tuesday morning. Randy was still online waiting for me. I had been updating him what's going on with me through chikka messages. It was already past one in the morning on his side, I rushed home to send him to bed. He wanted to make sure I will be home before he logged out. He was surprised, too, upon hearing what might have caused my dizziness. He assured me that he loves me and I shouldn't worry about anything at all. He will be there for me, no matter what happens. For five days, I had several tests, and the results were all normal. Whether I had anxiety or not, I'd like to thank God that I passed all medical tests.

CBC and Ophtha TestsThursday, July 20, 2006I was up as early as six o'clock in the morning when Pacette texted me that she's on the way to the hospital. She has to get a number for me so I could have my eyes diagnosed at ophthalmology clinic. They only accommodate ten patients a day. Pearl and I arrived at the QCGH OPD before 8:00 a.m. and Pacette met us at the entrance. When my name was called, I got the (1) number (thanks to "Kalbo") and we requested my records from Room 17. Then, we proceeded to Room 11, Ophtha Clinic. When I was called and being asked what's my problem, I mentioned how I feel dizzy and that I was also scheduled for Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) / Complete Blood Count (CBC). That time, it was past 9 in the morning. I was told that Pathology Clinic closes at 10 a.m., so, I was then allowed to have my blood sample taken first. The nurse who took my blood sample made it smoothly that I didn't feel any pain when she gave me the injection. She asked me to get the result tomorrow between 9 am to 3 pm. We paid Php 158.00 only for FBS/CBC test earlier as there's no SWA representative yet to give us the discount. We hurriedly went back to Ophtha Clinic and I had my eyes diagnosed. Since only one doctor was busy attending to all patients, we were told to wait again outside. Every time there's an in-patient senior citizen on a wheel chair entering the clinic, they were accommodated first before those who were holding their respective numbers. We decided to have breakfast at the hospital's canteen. I had Pancit Malabon and coffee just to eat something and take my medication. We probably spent about 30 minutes there and when we're done, we went back to Room 11. The same faces were there waiting to be called. I have heard three in-patients who had eye surgeries were the ones accommodated first. Somehow, I feel like leaving the hospital and just come back some other day but, I had thought that it's better to wait though, after all, it's a public hospital and treatment is free. When my name was called, it sounded like a bell to me. Finally, Dr. Nemesio S. Artaiz Jr told me the results of SC and PH tests. He said I have clear vision and my problem is medical. I got OD 20/25 - 1 (SC) 20 / 20 (PH), OS 20/25 - 2 (SC) 20/20 (PH) and JOU + 1. On our way home, I bought seedless Water Melon and Papaya. Pacette went to NSO and we're back home. Randy was online waiting for me. We watched America's Got Talent, Law and Order, and NBC News - San Diego. He's happy that I stayed away from playing online games. My situation is unstable. I had chest pains occasionally and Randy believes that I should avoid getting mad nor excited. He stopped me from eating unhealthy foods so I am back to fruits and oatmeal. When we recited the rosary this evening, we prayed that the result of my X-Ray and CBC tests aren't that serious...

Chest X-RayWednesday, July 19, 2006Pacette called up in the morning to tell me to get ready. I hurriedly logged online to inform Randy that I will do my X-Ray and have my blood sugar be tested. When Pacette arrived, Pearl and I hurriedly went downstairs. We went to Quezon City General Hospital OPD. Papa assisted us and instructed Pacette to get me Out-Patient Information Sheet and Patient's Card. When my name was called, I explained what has happened with me. The nurse took my BP (110/80) and pulse rate (80). Then, Papa showed me where I could have my blood sugar test. Normal blood sugar count is 100 but, mine was 111. They advised me to watch the food I will be eating since my father is diabetic. I was then called by a young doctor, who gave me Serc (16 mg. tablet) prescription, to be taken 3 times a day for 5 days, for drowsiness. He also gave me X-Ray, CBC, and Ophtha requests. Papa then accompanied me to the X-Ray room and I had my Chest X-Ray taken, result will be released on Friday while Optha clinic was closed. I should be early tomorrow to be accomodated since they only accept 10 patients a day. Besides, fasting is necessary after 12 midnight tonight for my CBC test tomorrow morning. As we arrived home, I was grasping my breathe. I had severe headache and been dizzy since I left the house. Randy was waiting for me online. I left all programs running so I can chat with him as soon as I arrived home. I told him how I was accomodated by the hospital staffs warmly unlike the ones from Capitol Medical Center. He excitedly told me that since I left, until I came back, Blogshares site had been under maintenance and backed up the same time I arrived. I jokingly told him I didn't have a hand on it... At times like this, Randy and I realized that life will have no meaning if one of us won't be there around... we have waited all these years to find each other. And, am hopeful, the result of chest x-ray on Friday will be negative for fluids in my lungs. Whether I lacked oxygen or not, the series of test will determine what's my possible illness... and, guess what? I snoore couple of times last night!

Unknown IllnessTuesday, July 18, 2006I woke up past 10 a.m. this morning and I feel better than yesterday. We arrived home this morning at 2 am from Capitol Medical Center. They wanted me to have Lung X-Ray because the attending physician suspected that I have fluid in my lungs. I refused to sit on the wheel chair and told them that I want to go home instead. I was attended in the Emergency Room at 9:30 p.m. last night. They took my BP (139/90), pulse rate, and my temperature. I had ECG test which was normal but they couldn't find the illness associated to my complaint: Yesterday afternoon, at home, right after I chatted with Randy, whenever I laid my head on my pillow to sleep, I felt like drowning and the attacks happened frequently. Alarmed that I have high blood, my mother who rushed to our place, convinced me to go to the hospital. She was there when I vomitted three times. Randy was online but, I couldn't even chat nor pray with him that he has to recite the rosary by himself while I can barely follow the rosary. I had been half conscious, so weak and had terrible headache, chest pain, and I couldn't speak well. Kids and my mother were so worried that they called a cab without my will. I dressed up only when Randy begged me to go. Pearl was the one who chatted with him because I cannot take the light coming from the monitor. I was in bed voice chatting with Randy but I can hardly complete a sentence without grasping my breath. Randy knew I was sick since the other night because I logged out early without waiting for him to come online. I had to recite the rosary silently two nights ago before going to bed because I had sore throat. I also complained of sore throat yesterday morning until he logged out. But, I still managed to cook our dinner and I even ate with the kids last night. Then, I felt tired and wanted to get some nap, at least before Randy comes online but, the moment I laid my head on my pillow, I felt strange, as if I was losing control of my consciousness, the pain originated from the back of my neck, as if I was drowning. I had to hold my daughter's arm or the headboard to keep my consciousness. Whatever illness was it, it was some kind of attack mother feared, it could be high blood, similar to what has happened with my aunt, who passed away 9 days ago after the first attack. Anyway, at Capitol Medical Center Emergency Room, some patients were also admitted with similar complaints, just like mine! They put me in bed but on a sitting position. I had taken in Betahistine Serc 16 mg (tablet) and had Plasil (Ampule) Metoclopramide injection. After the ECG, I was told that I will be under observation for about an hour then the doctor will review the result of my ECG. I slept then. I was so weak and tired but, I didn't know why. The doctor finally showed up at past 1 a.m. I asked her what's the problem but she couldn't tell me yet until I will have Lung X-Ray. She sound sarcastic that I didn't want to stay any minute longer. When I asked her what's the result of my ECG, she said it was normal but she said, she believed I had oxygen shortage and she must see if I have fluid in my lungs. Knowing it was late and I want my daughter and mother to go to sleep, I told the attending physician that I want to go home and sleep. They want me to sign a waiver so I can go home but, I refused. Then the doctor came back and insisted that I sign a waiver before they will let me go home. Then, I raised my voice and told her, I went there to know my illness, if she said she cannot prescribe any medication because my illness remained unknown, then there is no way I will sign a waiver. I paid the hospital fees, and yet no medication to make me feel better, what's the waiver for? We left the hospital without signing the waiver and I was so hungry we bought some food from Jollibee. I had macaroni soup while kids had cheese burger. When I rested my head on my pillow, I felt drowning again but, I fixed my head in one position to avoid losing consciousness. I wore the rosary then closed my eyes and prayed to God to extend my life. Randy didn't wake me up this morning so I rested long enough to get some energy back.

Charity UpdateSaturday, July 15, 2006Randy and I were discussing about our future and how we will handle our finances when he told me that Save The Children was billing him US$ 32.00 a month since February this year. That's US$ 4.00 higher than what he's paying since October 2004! To date, Save The Children received the total amount of US$ 640.00: Blogshares player, Anders Ohlsson, highest bidder in our eBay Charity auction paid the amount of US$204.62 on November 06, 2004 via Pay Pal to Randy for winning eBay Item number: 5931505136 (B$ 5,082,587,364,374.20, 50,158 chips, 4,500,000 Ideas)! Randy paid from his pocket US$ 435.38 to this date, and will continue to support our sponsored child, Sarah Alea, until she reaches 18 years old. Save The Children - Philippines Field Office knew the donations were from the generous contributions of Blogshares players, and we want to keep it that way. To those who do not know yet, we met our sponsored child on April 21 and 22 this year. Contrary to the false accusations posted by db a.k.a PnP under BSEC thread on July 09, 2006, 11:42:23 pm, PnP a.k.a Alvino won our B$ 15 T eBay auction in the amount of US$ 802.56 for which the blogshares dollars transfered into his account had been used in the game well and pushed himself up to the top richest players' list. To know the history of what we have done in the past auctions, please visit Charity and Online Auction links in this blog. Randy sponsored many blogshares players to get premium memberships and had been donating big amount every time there's calamities but that's between us and God. If ever someday Randy and I will hit a lottery, we have this big dream of supporting a foundation for abandoned women and children. We're just waiting for it to happen one of these days...

First Oral SurgeryMonday, July 03, 2006Randy and I were having fun playing in BlogShares and made some yummy B$ profits but, I logged out early at past 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon to accompany my daughter to St. Luke's Medical Center. At Dr. Joel Ferrer's Dental Clinic, N-617 CHBC, Pearl had the X-ray before she had the oral surgery at 2:30 in the afternoon. We brought the digital camera with us so we can take video coverage of her surgery but they won't let me come closer to her due to sterile environment. Couple of times I saw anaesthesia was injected, I know it hurts but, daughter's impacted wisdom tooth has to be removed as her right jaw was swollen for the past two weeks. At 4:18 p.m., I received a Chikka message from Randy asking me how are things going. Surgery was over then and Pearl had the briefing about post surgical home care. She was in terrible pain as anaesthesia's wearing out. Instead of replying back through a text message, I called him at 4:25 p.m. via overseas call and told him what has happened. Sweety Pearl couldn't take the pain anymore and hurriedly left the clinic while I paid Php 10,350 only for Odontectomy plus X-ray. I was planning to go to the grocery after dropping Pearl home but, plan was changed because Randy wanted to make sure Pearl arrived home safely. She didn't wait for me anymore and I went home alone. I passed by in Mercury Drug and bought new ice bag and some Gatorade for her. She will be on a soft diet for 3-5 days. When I arrived home, daughter locked up herself in the room. I filled the ice bag with ice cubes and gave it to her. Earlier, on my way home, I was furious she left me alone in the clinic but Randy explained to me how painful daughter was feeling. So, scolding her won't help her feel better. Then, I chatted with Randy online and asked him to sleep. It was late on his side but he wanted to know whether Pearl was fine... he stopped me from going for shopping as the 24 hour period is critical for Pearl and I must be on her side all the time. The first oral surgery is just the beginning of the many more dental treatment daughter will undergo. Thank you very much, Randy, for being there for us...

SnowyTuesday, June 27, 2006Snowy, a 7 year old poodle of Judy, had been very sick with swollen eyes. Miniature poodle has 14 years life expectancy but, according to Randy, their poodles' breed is only up to 8 years. We barely played in Blogshares today because Randy had been busy nursing Snowy. He was in tears when he's feeding the dog who just gave birth to a new puppy on Mother's day. He's worried that they will lose her considering her puppy needs her. I understand how he feels because we had a puppy who passed away in 2004. Snowy is the same dog they brought to the vet's clinic few months back but the veterinarian advised them that it would be better to put her to sleep and let her die than to cure her and charged them a thousand dollars but due to Snowy's old age, she will soon die anyway. Love and prayers helped Snowy survived until to these days. Fortunately, Randy's son knew how to take good care of the dog. Before he went to bed, they isolate her in another room but, her young puppy had been missing her around. When Randy logged in back online (early morning on his side), he was still very sleepy and been yawning a lot but, he was happy that Snowy had been showing some progress. We will include Snowy in our rosary prayers next morning. I hope she will be okay when Randy comes back from work.

Tooth ProblemThursday, June 15, 2006Randy had been enduring a tooth problem since he was here in Manila. He even had dental treatment before he left to San Diego. Finally, a stubborn tooth had been pulled today but, the medication he's taking made him a bit nervous and impatient. I had been hearing his moaning from pain because they didn't just pulled it, his dentist cut his gum to get all pieces of his molar tooth pulled out then made some stitches. He's on a soft diet to fill something in before taking his medication. In the middle of his condition, I wanted to make him busy to keep his mind off from the pain but, something has happened while we're watching top blogs in Blogshares. We're in group chat with my {NSI} supporters guiding them how to make a neat buy when someone sold shares to the market. Both Randy and I spoiled the plan and that upset both of us before he logged out to sleep. When he logged in back tonight, everything was okay except that he didn't sleep well. He sold his blogs under BB, SS, and DH folders and I bought the shares every 20 minutes until I bought all the 4000 shares for each blog. When he went to work, I had spent the rest of the evening reporting inactive blogs to earn some sigma points. Randy told me he might have a sick leave for the day and will submit only some papers that his graduating class needed but, I think he teach his class even he's suffering from severe pain. Besides, the prescribed Vicodin caused him inconvenience of going to toilet more often. I wish they already solved your tooth problem, Randy...

WorriedMonday, June 12, 2006Randy had been suffering from toothache since he was here in Manila. While we went to the dental clinic of Dr. Chavez, the pain continuous until he was back in San Diego. His dentist treated his root canal last month and yet, today, he went to Kaiser Permanente's urgent care desk due to painful swollen jaw with accompanied fever. The doctor prescribed Clidamycin. a heavy antibiotic. Randy's doctor said that if it continues to get bigger then he needs to go to the ER again and they will operate on it. In fact, when he logged in this evening, he barely talks and even logged out early. He said if he doesn't feel any better, he would cut the afternoon class and will go to the ER for further treatment. Am so worried about him. Too bad I cannot do anything here on my side to ease the pain. He told me to advise the kids to take good care of their teeth so that when they reach his age, they will not suffer the same dental problems. Get well soon, Randy.

The Holy TrinitySunday, June 11, 2006Since my internet was restored yesterday afternoon, I was happy to recite the rosary online with Randy this morning. Imagine, for two consecutive days, we recited the rosary using the chat for the mysteries to make sure we're doing the same prayer at the same time. In the afternoon, the kids, Tintin, and I were late again at 5:00 o'clock mass in Our Lady of Hope Parish. Today is the The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity and Rev Fr Jun Pascual Jr. said the mass. First Reading was Dt 4:32-34, 39-40; Second Reading was Rom 8:14-17; and the Gospel was Mt 28:16-20. Fr. Jun said that there is only one God in Three Divine Persons: God, the Father; God, the Son; and, God, the Holy Spirit. He even set us an example of a mango fruit: the mango skin, the fruit, and the seed are just parts of a mango itself, the way God is as The Most Holy Trinity. My children were reacting each time the priest mentioned something that hits any one of us that I had to remind them to be quiet as we're inside the church. But, deep in my heart, I was glad my children now enjoyed attending masses in spite of very humid temperature inside the church. The kids cancelled the bowling when they found out I must do the grocery shopping while they're playing. So, we had buffet dinner instead at Cabalen Restaurant in the second floor of SM North EDSA. While eating, mother informed me through a text message that she's at home waiting for us. On our way to get a cab, strong heavy downpour of rains with strong winds prevented us from leaving the mall. Instead of standing there waiting until the rain will stop, I did some quick grocery shopping. Paul Denise and Pearl went ahead to bring Mama's dinner. When Junjun, Tintin, and I were done shopping, the rain has finally stopped except that broken tree branches scattered on the side streets as if there was a typhoon that hits the city. At home, I was happy the DSL internet is running. Both Randy and I traded some blogs' shares while watching flickr' shares PE from deflating. Ron joined us later to do some ideas sharing... OOppssss! Today is my brother's birthday, Happy 41st birthday, Bhoie!

My 46th BirthdayTuesday, June 06, 2006As early as 7:00 o'clock this morning, I received a call from filgifts.com that I have a package that they will deliver later in the afternoon. I was half sleepy voice chatting with Randy when I received the telephone call. After we recited the rosary and I passed on to him the regular blogs' shares, someone buzzed downstairs but I didn't see anyone. I'd thoguht it was some nasty boys who were playing with our door bells. So, I went back inside the room. After few minutes, a couple of buzzes prompted me to check again outside. My neighbor told me the guy was knocking at the door but I didn't hear anything maybe because Randy and I were watching US$ 5 M Prize Deal and No Deal. Islandrose.net delivered 2 doz. deep burgundy roses and a box of Bruges Fine Belgian chocolates, lovingly sent by Randy! Randy has this special way of making me feel special especially on my 46th birthday! We watched a Hockey movie after Deal or No Deal when someone was downstairs again. The guy from filgifts.com delivered the birthday cake Randy ordered online and I was surprised he also sent me a new GE microwave oven! No wonder he doesn't like to go to bed even if it was past midnight on his side. He's so sweet and caring he wanted to be online with me since he cannot be here physically to celebrate my birthday. ![]() Before he logged out to go to bed, we agreed to extend the celebration until tomorrow. His mother and I had the same birth date. We're going to light a candle for her. May she rests in peace... I celebrated my 46th birthday with the kids only but, in our hearts, Randy is with us even if he's 7401 miles away... the kids had been extra sweet when they lighted the cake, turned off the light and sang a Happy Birthday greeting. What else can I ask for? In case I will need GE Microwave oven parts and service, here's the contact details:

BowlingSunday, June 04, 2006Doing my morning routines with Randy had been easier and running smoothly since PLDT DSL has been restored. Passing on blogs' shares ownerships with my »-(¯`v* NEAT Strategies *v´¯)-» corporate members had been fun. It's nice to make profits without cheating and harming other's investments. With Randy around, there's never a dull moment but, he had to go to bed at past 1:00 in the morning (San Diego time) since the kids and I were getting ready for the 5:00 o'clock afternoon mass. At Lady of Hope Parish, we hurriedly took our seats because the mass had started. We're not lucky to sit in one row and I can barely see Rev. Fr. Alfredo A. Pascual Jr., who said the mass. Before our priest start his Homily, he greeted us all a Happy Birthday. He said that today was the Feast of the Pentecost and celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit. The Feast of Holy Pentecost is celebrated each year on the fiftieth day after the Great and Holy Feast of Pascha (Easter) and ten days after the Feast of the Ascension of Christ*. It was conincidence that Junjun and I wore red and so was the priest. The First Reading was Acts 2:1-11 and Second Reading was1 Cor 12:3b-7, 12-13. After the mass, the kids, Tintin, and I went straight to SM North Bowling Center. I was planning to play to get rid of my headache but I decided to watch our belongings because there were many people playing as well. This time, Pearl and Tintin teamed up against Junjun and Paul Denise. As usual, Pearl's team won but, I didn't award them any prize for the strikes they made. I got headache that I let them play one round and I told them to follow me at Pancake House. Pearl didn't like the food in Pancake House but, I insisted that Junjun should try also what Tintin used to order when we're eating out. Kids made their orders but were surprised that I asked for Clubhouse Sandwich, Potato Salad, and Beef Sabrina for myself. While waiting for the food to be served, Pearl noticed that majority of customers eating there were wearing red too. I just smiled and commented that they were probably celebrating their birthdays. And, with that statement, they greeted me a Happy Birthday in advanced. When the food was served, Tintin's Pork Vienna order wasn't included. After ten minutes, it was served but all of us were already full. Although the kids were not satisfied with the kind of food they served, we all had fun. When we're going out of the building, Pearl asked me why I didn't liked to play Bowling. I told her I forgot to trim my long nails...

Dead PLDT DSLTuesday, May 23, 2006My communication with Randy had been affected severely because of my ISP problem. I cannot even play in Blogshares and Neopets, too, and I had lost opportunity to gain some B$ and neopoints this evening. PLDT DSL's hotline has been busy continually and I am at a loss on whether to get a new DSL service from Bayantel or stay with PLDT, even though they have failed to give me the service they promised for five days now. I already talked to the owner of the building. Since each unit was provided with a single phone line conduit, I will have to buy the telephone cable myself if I subscribe to another phone company, Bayantel. We already established our contact telephone number and we wouldn't give it up, just the DSL, if possible. Meanwhile, Randy told me an alarming news before he logged out to work. He said that the Veterans Administration reported that one employee decided to take home a bunch of disks for a project he or she was working on and had them stolen in a home robbery. Randy was worried that all his personal informations, including security number, benifits, and credit card details will be stolen or sold. And as soon as Randy logged out, my PLDT DSL broadband internet turned totally dead, and it affects nationwide subscribers now! Kids were bored and played PS2 games instead after I sang few karaoke songs. Ah! Mother never told me there will be uneasy days like these...

Happy Sto Cristo Feast DaySunday, May 07, 2006I missed the early morning mass. I stayed up late clearing my Blogshares portfolio and exchanging blogs with Randy. To keep blogs' shares down, I had to buy whatever Randy sells and after 6 hours, I can sell them back to him. But due to time differences and availability. we can do it only during weekend. On weekdays, we should be both online because he's working and does not have time to do the trading in the morning on his side. Anyway, Mama and I attended the special 5:00 o'clock mass in a nearby Chapel. The theme was the Cross: The Way to Follow Jesus. The chapel was not as crowded as in morning mass. Maybe not too many people know that there's a special afternoon mass held today. FR. Raul Buen, a Filipino priest, said the mass. There's procession after the mass but, I had to do some grocery shopping with the kids. They closed the street and we walked a little bit to get a cab. The carousel carrying the statue of Mama Mary was approaching the church accompanied by a band while playing their musical instruments. I didn't see what happened next because we got a cab and left. In Cyberzone, I paid Smart bill, and then went to Abenson to follow Junjun and Tintin. I was already inside the store when my right sandal's buckle gave up. It was embarassing to sit down with a broken sandal's strap. Junjun and Tintin had difficulty choosing the sandals that will fit me. Pearl forgot her cellphone and cannot find me so she went home instead. After 45 minutes of waiting, Junjun got me a new pair of brown sandals but I cancelled the shopping. I didn't like brown sandals and it was a bit smaller for me. On our way home, the procession passed us. Near the building where we live, some Barangay tanod didn't allow us to enter the area they blocked for the Feast celebration. I got off from the cab and blah blah blah to them. They let us pass while the rest of the cars rerouted. My alibi? I had sore feet from my new sandals and I couldn't walk any further... We had a better view of the feast celebration from the balcony. They fired up series of firecrackers. I didn't watch the rest of the program because Randy is already online... HAPPY FEAST DAY!

Case II: May 22 HearingThursday, May 04, 2006As usual, I had oatmeal for breakfast and Randy had Lasagna after we recited the rosary. We did some Neopets and Blogshares update until we run Yahoo webcam. We watched House's Euphoria, part 2, Dr. Foreman faces death and they put him in a coma to ease the pain. Dr. House discovered contaminated water outside patient's home (who earlier died of unknown disease) as the source of the infection. It wasn't clear what happened with Foreman as he's still paralyzed when the episode ended. Well, we watched Criminal Minds and Law and Order, too, before watching NBC's late night evening news. When Randy logged out, I received a text message from Atty. R. Case II Hearing Schedule is on May 22nd at 2:40 pm for Collusion Investigation. In the evening as I was watching the GMA 7's 24 Oras evening news, I heard that three separate fires damaged properties in Metro Manila today. That reminds me about my discussion with Randy before he went to bed, we were discussing about Mina (a.k.a. Shelly), a well-loved index manager in BlogShares. In her blog, a friend noted that, "In the early morning hours of Sunday, April 30th, a massive fire broke out in the family home. Her sons were not in the home, as they were visiting their father. Shelly was home alone, asleep at the time." We posted earlier a candle in Sage's Mission: Mina where I made a mistake posting my BS profile under that mission. Gladly, Island Dave was online and he removed immediately my profile off the mission page. It was embarassing though but, I had too many windows and tabs open that time and I got distracted which form I pasted my profile. Anyway, I hope Shelley will overcome the difficulties and trials she's having lately... may God bless us all! So far, am happy that the three cases I filed last February will have it's respective hearings scheduled this month.

Happy Birthday, Denise!Wednesday, May 03, 2006First of all, I want to greet my son, Paul Denise, a Happy 25th Birthday! Early this morning, Randy and I recited the rosary first before eating breakfast. I had oatmeal mixed with chocolait milk while he had Beef Pot Pie with ice cream cone and soda for dinner. We watched Fox's House today excitedly. Euphoria has two episodes where Dr. Foreman exhibits the same symptoms as thier patient with uncontrollable laughter and tomorrow's episode, the medical team decides whether to perform a brain biopsy on Foreman as he faces death. We watched also CBS's NCIS and NBC's Law and Order Special Victims Unit. Randy logged out at past three. He knew that we're going to watch M-I-III starring Tom Cruise but Paul Denise was too slow and seemed not interested. We argued a little bit and I almost postponed treating the kids out to a movie. To neutralize my temper, we went instead to SM Bowling Center at 5 p.m. Pearl and Denise teamed up against Junjun and Tintin. They played two rounds but Denise's team won. Only two successful strikes were made by Pearl and Junjun. It was first time for Tintin to play. I hurriedly asked the kids to eat in the mall because I want to go home before 8:30 in the evening. We're arguing where to eat, whether we will do it in Super Bowl of China, Shakey's Pizza, or Pizza Hut until we passed by in a Family Karaoke. Denise had been asking me to try the place since last year and after knowing the cover charge and room rates per hour, we got our place and I sang one song, kids were too slow selecting their songs. I got 77 score with a note that I can go home, the kids laughed at the message. With a sad face, I stood up and pretended leaving. But, as I went out of the room, I ordered the food but were disappointed with the food and beverages available. Everything I asked were out of stock. I was uncomfortable and wanted to leave but, I didn't like to spoil the evening. As they served the food, kids alternately sang their numbers. We barely noticed we've been there for almost two hours until they informed us whether we like to extend for another hour. We had enough sore throats. Besides, I need to be home before Randy logs in back online. Kids had fun but, were unhappy with the food and extra charges they added to the bill. To satisfy them, we take out some food from Jollibee before going home. While waiting for a cab, I prayed and wished my Paul Denise a nice future, full awareness about life, and a productive year ahead. Happy Birthday, Denise!

Doing Things TogetherTuesday, May 02, 2006I had a long, deep sleep last night knowing Randy arrived home safely yesterday! Randy and I recited the rosary first thing in the morning (when I woke up) and we had eaten our meals at the same time, I had oatmeal while Randy had Beef Ravioli and ice cream cone as desert. We made it a habit to say blessings before meals. Then, we played Moon Rock while waiting for Deal or no Deal to come on. Randy had fun watching Penn and Teller's Bullshit and I was surprised they didn't filter the vulgar words being used there. After collecting my Neopets freebies, I stayed in bed instead to relax my knee and we watched together Deal or no Deal, 24, and Medium. Then, we watched the eleven o'clock news before Randy went to bed at 3:18 pm. I made myself busy doing household chores until I went back online in the evening while waiting for Randy to go online at 9:00 pm. He had deep sleep and unable to adapt easily to his usual schedule. When he logged out for work, I stayed awhile and watched Jewel in the Palace before going to bed. Randy makes my life complete and I love doing things with him together, regardless of 7401 miles distance between us.

Missing RandyMonday, May 01, 2006When I got up at 7 am this morning, I had been awake since 2 am. I couldn't sleep at all. I was wondering how's Randy's trip and I decided to send him copy of our prayers by email so he can print it when he arrive home. As soon as I finished from the shower, I recited the rosary alone. I terribly missed his presence because I got used doing things with Randy. Although I made myself busy doing laundry while cleaning the house, I feel a part of me was missing. I only feel better when I received a Chikka text message from Randy at 1:11 pm. We chatted on Yahoo a litte bit until I hooked up the USB mic he gave me and rested in bed while Skype talking with him. My knee is bothering me and I had to stay away from sitting infront of the computer for a long time. When he logged out to sleep, that's how I rested well. Pearl awakened me when Randy went back online at 9:12 pm to say hello before going to work. We talked on Skype once again and I went back to sleep when he logged out at 9:42 pm.

Safe FlightSunday, April 30, 2006We woke up early today and recited the rosary. Then, we went to a nearby Chapel on time enough to light six candles. I thanked God that my kids, as well as Mama and Tintin, joined Randy and I in attending the mass. I was surprised that Fr. Viviano is back and said the mass. There will be a Feast in our area this coming Sunday, May 6th, and mass will be held every night at 7 pm! After the Church, we went to McDonald's corner Mindanao and West Avenues, and had breakfast there. I told Randy it's about time he should eat Filipino breakfast, as we served heavy American breakfast everyday since he arrived on the 9th of this month! Four of us had rice with sausage and egg. At home, I hurriedly washed Randy's remaining laundry as soon as we arrived while he turned on the PC to blog. Then I folded all his clothes and the next time I entered the room, he packed his luggage already. We had opportunity to take some webcam photos before we served taco for lunch. ![]() Our airport service buzzed at 4:15 pm. Pearl and I dropped Randy to the airport. I felt so bad I can hardly breathe when I waved my hand to him. Coming back home without him really hurts. After an hour, Randy called up from the airport to inform me he will pass two more check points before his final boarding. As I publish this entry, he's probably in the air now for over 15 hours flight back to San Diego. Have a safe trip, Randy, in Jesus name!

Sad NightSaturday, April 29, 2006I have mixed emotions this evening because tonight, Randy completed his three weeks April visit here in Manila and I'm so sad that this will be his last night with us. Earlier today, we had breakfast with the kids and mama which we prepared together after we recited the rosary. Kids cannot resist waking up early in the morning because Randy made sure kids would like the food we're serving to them. While Randy was blogging this morning, I did some laundry and compete with my boys videoke singing my favorite songs. As usual, they teased me when I got over 90 scores considering I had an unusual annoying voice. Windows and doors were closed each time I sing to make sure neighbors will not be mad at us for damaging their ear drums. Even the weather today is extremely humid, we're having fun except that Randy is suffering from serious toothache for about four days now. I convinced him that I would buy him some antibiotic and painkillers but, I changed my mind when I touched his affected gum. I hurriedly called up at Queen Mary PolyClinic and made an urgent appointment for his dental treatment. Fortunately, we were accomodated as we arrived at Suite 2503, Medical Plaza-Ortigas, San Miguel Ave, Pasig City. Whole Body Dentistry is owned by my friend/family dentist, Dr. Herminia Pascual-Chavez. I was amazed with Dr. Chavez' achievements lately and I am happy to be in her clinic even though she won't be here in Manila until May 2nd. Anyway, Randy's dental problem was handled by Dr. Rosette, who was assisted by Dr. Sandra and Dr. Noemi. The session lasted for about two hours but, his gum still bothers him when we went to SM - North Edsa to meet the kids and Mama at Max Restaurant. We decided to have dinner there since it's too late for me and Randy to prepare one. At Max Restaurant, located at 2nd floor, SM, we're unhappy with the cold food they served us this time. We often had our lunch or dinner there but, maybe due to their busy staffs, our food was served cold. The place was full when we arrived and we had to wait for couple of minutes to be seated. Ate Neth was supposed to join us but, we had a quick dinner and packed the remaining food home instead of forcing ourselves to eat the cold food. ![]() At home, as I am blogging this, am sadly watching Randy napping. I can hardly believe that 21 days is almost over and he will leave me tomorrow back to San Diego. It's indeed a very sad night...

Best AchieverFriday, April 28, 2006We had three reasons to celebrate at Dad's Restaurant - West Avenue this evening. ![]() First, I introduced Randy to my friend, Atty. D, and to my counsel, Atty. R, who is the one handling the three cases I filed this year. Atty. R gave me the filing receipts of Cases II and III! She advised me to be ready for the series of hearings to be held in May and June. Next, is to celebrate my Pearl's graduation day from the Automotive Course but, she surprised me with her Best Achiever TESDA Award and Certificate! Congratulations, Sweetie! Third, it's Tintin's 26th birthday! Happy Birthday, Tintin!

Case III: AdsTuesday, April 25, 2006I stayed in bed most of the day because of knee injury. Pacette paid 11.5k in my behalf for the publication fee in Today's Ads for three consecutive weeks, for the public notice of the correction of my birthdate. Randy takes very good care of me. He wanted me to relax and watched the last episodes of House, then we watched also The Fugitive, Dirty Harry, and Forest Gump movies in DVD. We went to bed early because I was still ill.

Arthritis?Monday, April 24, 2006Randy and I went to see Dr. Rimando Saguin at Rm 5 Sta. Teresita General Hospital. I had knee xray and underwent yellow fluid testing in my knee which caused severe pain. Dr. Saguin asked for longer IV needle because my left knee is swollen. I tested negative for both yellow fluid and blood but the doctor prescribed Etoricoxib Arcoxia Ac 120 mg. tablet. I will go back next Monday, if the pain continues, for MRI. Dr. Saguin thinks I have arthritis. ![]() We went to do some shopping inspite of bulgy left knee when a bandage was wrapped around it. The treatment caused me to walk limping. I was so embarassed but, it was really painful and I cannot control my steps. Randy told me how the doctor moved the needle in and out on the side of my upper knee cap. I closed my eyes while the test was being done and unable to take photos while the long syringe was inside of my swollen knee. Anyway, the test gave me terrible knee sores when we arrived home. Randy checked online the name of the drug before he played HOUSE episode in DVD but, I was so sick and went to bed at past 9 pm.

Shopping With SarahSaturday, April 22, 2006We cooked breakfast for the kids befoire doing shopping with Sarah and her family. Then, we took our BS sponsored child, Sarah, to SM Sucat for some grocery items and a pair of sandals as the pair she was wearing were rented from a friend for two pesos, about 4 cents American dollars. We started out at 10 AM when Rose Marie and Fred, the driver, dropped by at my place to pick us up. Again the traffic was terrible as MMDA was doing some road works along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA). Randy was starting to learn the names of some of the cities around here. Anyway near the airport is Tramo, Parañaque City where Sarah and her family live in a depressed area. We met Sarah, Shiela, and their mother up at McDonalds and then took a short drive over to the SM Sucat Mall. On the way, we were talking about possible places to eat when I suggested Chow King and we found that the kids had not been there yet, so Chow King it was. We parked the van in a basement and met Riel at Chow King. I asked the people to prepare a table for 10 people then, we sat down to a meal of Sweet and Sour Pork, Chicken, Pancit Bihon, Rice and other stuff. The meal was great and the kids really enjoyed our lunch. ![]() Lunch with Randy, Tintin, Save the Children staffs, Sarah and her family. ![]() Riel with Sarah and family (left). Randy with Sarah (right). We went ahead and filled up a shopping cart with grocery items and then took them to Tramo where we put them on a tricycle for home. It was great to see the smiles on Sarah and her sister's face as they left, even though we have the feeling that their mother would probably sell some of the food for cash. Sort of how the welfare folks in the states do as what Randy told me... We would like to thank the staffs of Save The Children - Philippine Field Office for allowing us to meet our (Blogshares) sponsored child. They gave us some newsletters and Save The Children profile for reference of their charity programs. Please visit also Randy's blog:

Meeting SarahFriday, April 21, 2006I had a problem with myDSl connection and it prevented me to access my favorites sites. I sent them a complaint message. We did breakfast and had eaten with the kids before meeting Rose and Fred to meet Riel and Save The Children staffs plus our (BlogShares) sponsored child, Sarah Alea. ![]() Staffs of the Save The Children - Philippines Field Office. After meeting the staffs and Riel briefed us about Save The Children. We then meet Sarah and her family who were waiting for us at McDonald's. Sarah's mother works as a fish vendor but, it is a really low paying job which is equivalent of 4 -5 dollars a day. Anyway, I learned a lot about the program by talking to some of the Save The Children workers and Sarah's family. Sarah didn't speak English so I translated the conversation to Randy. ![]() Randy, me, and Sarah. ![]() Sarah with her mother and sister. We then went to a community center where they were teaching job skills with materials they have available. Randy felt really bad as this was an extremely poor area, but the folks at the center were working hard, and there were many volunteers there helping them out. Tomorrow, we will be taking Sarah out on a shopping trip to a mall. We were thinking of school supplies but after I talked with Sarah, I guess we will be going to do grocery shopping instead, as Sarah prefers grocery items and rice for her family. As a rule, we are not allowed to give any cash donations to Sarah or her family. Anyway, after that it was time for the long ride home. My left knee gave me so much pain. Somehow, it is really nice to finally put a real child in place of the picture and letters. We're excited to take her and family out for shopping tomorrow...

Hmmmmm....Monday, April 17, 2006Am so busy right now and didn't have enough time to blog about us since Randy is here in Manila. Preparing the HouseMonday, April 03, 2006Since last week, we have been pretty busy preparing the house for Randy's visit. He's going to stay with us here at home and we'll be roleplaying a mother/father in Bahay-bahayan (House) game! If you are a regular reader of this blog, you know that Randy is my game buddy! The waiting period is the hardest part and we're contented skyping with Yahoo webcams watching Deal or No Deal, Medium, House, 24, Law and Order, and other random quality movies. Randy and I enjoyed quality time together online by doing things we love like playing BlogShares and Neopets. If you don't see me blogging, chances are am busy preparing the house. In fact, my eldest son, Junjun, is very excited to meet Randy in person. He was working in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, when Randy spent the 2005 Christmas and New Year with us. MIssed Sunday MassSunday, April 02, 2006Mother had been waking me up for couple of times but, I was too sleepy to get up. Kids had been coming in and out of my room, using my PC, while I was sleeping. Sad to say, I missed hearing today's mass (Fifth Sunday of Lent). Randy promised to blog about it so that I will have an idea about this Sunday's homily. I'd wished to attend the afternoon mass but, Randy and I watched a comedy movie, 8 Heads In A Duffel Bag (Starring: Kristy Swanson, David Spade, Joe Pesci, George Hamilton, Andy Comeau, Dyan Cannon), until 5 p.m. when my PLDT-DSL connection was restored. In spite of 7,401 miles distance, both Randy and I often watch our favorite TV shows using Yahoo webcam connections. Have you ever tried that yourself? Anyway, mother left to Ate Neth's house early today. She used to spend the weekend with us. Since I cannot attend the mass alone, I asked Pearl to accompany me instead but, the quick shower and preparations made her available at past 6 pm. We're late then to hear the evening mass... When You Tell Me that You Love MeThursday, March 23, 2006This song is lovingly dedicated to Randy... WHEN YOU TELL ME THAT YOU LOVE ME (Diana Ross) I wanna call the stars down from the sky I wanna hold you close under the rain And baby I wanna make you see just what I was And baby In a world without you I would always hunger Everytime you touch me I become a hero You love me Ides of MarchWednesday, March 15, 2006Today is the Ides of March and I'd like to take this opportunity to inform the regular readers of this blog that my online game buddy and best friend, Randy, is my man and soul mate too! Randy and I met each other on March 1st 2004 in an unusual dispute over stocks in BlogShares Fantasy Stock Market. This kind-hearted man impressed me with his gaming strategies until we played as a team not only in BlogShares but, also in Neopets! We've done many things together as a team like being the top 5 BlogShares Richest players in 2005, held successful eBay auctions, supported Save-A-Child charity, made some million neopoints from Neopets' World Challenge games, NeoStocks, Neoquests, Plushie Tycoon and Black Pawkeet slots. Lately, when his wife filed a divorce in August 2005, he slowed down from playing our favorite games and even was hospitalized last year from overdose. That time, I was preparing myself to work abroad and renewed my passport. When his wife decided to spend the Christmas somewhere else, we decided to meet in person to celebrate 2005 Christmas before I leave the country for work! And that's how we turned as lovers and prefer to go further as soul mates now that he's a free man from his previous marriage. He didn't like me to work abroad and he wanted instead to correct the mess in my life from previous relationships. While it's amazing that married women in the USA profited from their divorces by getting half of their men's networth, the women in my country normally get nothing but misery and burden of supporting kids. Anyway, Randy is my best friend and hopefully, the best man in my life, too! And since we met in BlogShares, we held a mission to express our appreciation to BlogShares Community and we want this to be a very remarkable day in BlogShares history by awarding these BS Mission #788's prizes to: Thank you for your BS Mission #788 participation and looking forward to future missions Randy and I will offer. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any suggestions. Congratulations to the winners! And, more power to Island Dave for supporting this mission! Today I had a brief History Quiz on Beware The Ides Of March! The answers are here but, you won't see them if you don't look very closely...
Your final score is 6 out of 6 questions! From dictionary.com newsletter: Word of the Day for Wednesday March 15, 2006: Ides \YDZ\, plural noun: In the ancient Roman calendar the fifteenth day of March, May, July, and October, and the thirteenth day of the other months. Ides comes from Latin idus, probably from an Etruscan word meaning "division" of a month.

Judgment of DissolutionRandy sent me this morning the scanned copy of Judgment of Dissolution he obtained from the San Diego Superior Court, dated 13th March 2006, effective date of termination of marital or domestic partnership status. Meanwhile, my counsel received the REPLY copy mailed to her by EX's counsel from Iligan City last Friday I'm still awaiting for Case I PRE-TRIAL Investigation. Someone told me that EX was in Saudi Arabia to attend his eldest son's wedding. I wonder who will receive the invitation if he's not in the country? Sigh. I also wonder why I have to suffer going through with the Nullity of the Marriage I never had. For Case II, hopefully, summon will be served anytime this week and for Case III, am awaiting order for publication which might start next week. Wonderful WorldTuesday, March 14, 2006Since we moved here in the building two years ago, this is my first time to see a rainbow overlooking from the balcony. It's such an impressive sight as it fades away when it started to rain heavily... ![]() And I had thought about God and what does a rainbow signifies while I was contemplating about the wonderful news I heard from Randy this morning... God is indeed a God of promises! And I had thought to myself, what a wonderful world! I see trees that are green, red roses too Happy Anniversary!Wednesday, March 01, 2006My soul mate used to give me Blue Mountain eCards every morning upon I logged online. Today, I received a different eCard: sending me bunches of LOVE... and, a long measure of joy... for many more years of sunshine in our happy nest followed by a box of Chocolates and 2 dozen of red roses from islandrose.net! ![]() My dearest soul mate! Thank you for being there for me always! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAYTuesday, February 14, 2006I received three different valentine's cards from my dearest one today! He's my Valentine's date this year and onwards. Then, after couple of hours, I received from Islandrose.net a surprise Valentine package: ![]() With the following message from my soul mate: Dear Laila, Three Men, Three CasesFriday, February 03, 2006Three Men, Three Cases have been added as new archive category today and from now on, all updates on my Annulment and Correction of Birth Records will be filed under this category for my readers' convenience and quick reference. WHY THREE MEN, THREE CASES?
These three men played important roles in my life and had caused me so much suffering even to this day. Fortunately, the fourth man, my potential soulmate offered to correct all these mess in my life starting from the day I was born. May the Almighty God make these things easier for both of us. Acceptance FeeThursday, February 02, 2006Today, I have read and signed verification/certification against Forum-Shopping provided by my counsel and I paid 1/4 of the Acceptance Fee upon contract signing of three cases (package) Atty. R will handle for me. The rest of the payments were post-dated checks payable every 2nd of March, April, and May! My counsel gave me the idea how the case will move and I couldn't wait until we draft the Petition and file it with the Family Court the soonest possible time. We're busy completing requirements needed to support the cases I want to resolve soon.... My Legal CounselWednesday, February 01, 2006Atty. R will be my legal counsel who will handle both my annulment case and correction of birthdate with NSO. We had a brief meeting this afternoon and she asked me to prepare the following the soonest possible time:
We will be signing the contract tomorrow upon initial down payment of Acceptance and Filing Fees of the Petition to Nullify a Marriage Contract. Annulment CostTuesday, January 31, 2006I had a busy but promising day today. When I notarized N 3660's Affidavit of Loss, I had thought to drop by at Mr. Matabang's office, who is the Chairman of Civil Registry and author of RA 9048. He was the one who helped me corrected typographical errors on my birth record in 2003. I mentioned to him about my annulment concern and he told me Atty. D can explain well what possible expenses I might involved myself with. She said that some considerate lawyers will charge lower than others. Upon hearing from her the annulment cost, I realized it will be impossible to minimum wage earners who are earning less than US$200.00 a month to avail a lawyer's service. And, oh! Atty. D revealed an interesting fact about fake marriages. If you had been married in the Philippines, the only way to verify whether yours is a valid marriage is when you verify and request for certification from the issuing office where you had your marriage and find out if the marriage license number has been issued under your name and your spouse name. Flowers & ChocolatesMonday, January 23, 2006My potential soulmate surprised me today with two dozen red roses with a love note, vase, and Bruges Fine Belgian chocolates from Islandrose.net. These items were delivered in three boxes. ![]() FlowersSunday, January 15, 2006My potential soulmate has been spoiling me with daily eCards from BlueMountain and today, he surprised me with one dozen pink roses in a vase from Florist.com.ph: ![]() Marriage ProposalSaturday, December 31, 2005![]() On April 1, 2004, I blogged about "Marriage Proposal" as a joke to celebrate April Fool's Day but, somehow, today, my potential soulmate proposed to me. He knelt down before me (at the foot of the escalator of a big shopping mall) and asked me to marry him. I was so touched when he put the engagement ring on my finger. We kissed and hugged each other, after I accepted his offer to love me forever and beyond. Missing Pieces?Friday, December 23, 2005A potential soulmate knocked at my door. He has offered to fulfill the missing pieces (in my life) and wishes to love me forever and for all eternity! The latest developments happening this month are unbelievable. They're too good to be true but, it seemed perfect so far. Whatever role he's going to play in my life, God will be the center piece of everything we do.
Thinking About 'Now'Friday, July 30, 2004"History repeats itself" but, do I have to allow it or not, is the main point why I need a lot of thinking to do... Breakfast InvitationFriday, November 14, 2003My EX called up this afternoon and invited me for breakfast at Fahad's place. I was not able to discuss with him the 'formal separation' because he was a little bit ill and depressed. As usual, we reminisced with Fahad our travelling experiences. He surprised me that he had perfect memories of the past which myself can barely remember anymore - am I getting old?DEJA VUWednesday, October 22, 2003No matter how much I wanted to find a way out, the past is haunting me over and over again...I attended a farewell dinner party last night, upon my EX's invitation, after 20 long months since the last meeting we had. It was in February 2002, when we had lunch together in an Indian restaurant with some of his friends... The party was held at Fraser Place Hotel, many people were invited. A gorgeous belly dancer made everyone alive and happy. I was shy and uncomfortable, but since I knew most of his friends since over ten years ago, the party went well. It was, indeed, a reunion... Everyone knows that he's there for us (even we had zero communication), he has a special way of extending his support to the kids. His friends praised him and talk beautiful words about him. Known to his friends as a real gentleman, he's well loved and appreciated, not to mention that he's a generous man as well. Since 1985, I think he's the only man who never give up on me... |
