Case III: Another Reset

Friday, December 05, 2008

Today, I feel my heart stops beating... I feel so lost after Yollie, the Legal Assistant of Atty. R, told me that as soon as she arrived in court, she was notified that the pairing judge is not available.

In short, the hearing was reset on March 6th 2009 at 11:00 a.m.

Today's scheduled hearing is at 9:00 a.m. and our case is number 6th in the court calendar. But, at 9:00 a.m., I was still on the road when Yollie called me up. It was unfortunate that no one among us showed up on time: No judge, no lawyer, no witness and I wasn't even there.

Yollie advised me to go home and she will talk to our witness when they arrive.

I found out yesterday from Yollie that Atty. R will not be able to make it to the court since my counsel is suffering from Vertigo, an illness with similar symptoms I had in 2006.

Randy was so upset that the hearing is set in March. We are supposed to request an earlier schedule but since March 6th is the earliest schedule available next year, Yollie had no choice but to acknowledge it in our behalf.

It's been almost 3 years now we're hearing this annulment case and I'm getting older. The justice system in my country is too slow and they unknowingly been wasting most of people's time, money, and opportunity.

On the lighter side, today is my daughter's 25th birthday: Happy birthday, Sweetie.

Dental Treatment for Denise

Tuesday, October 30, 2007

I reset my DP early this afternoon to accompany my son, Paul Denise, to the dentist.

Pearl and Shiela were with us when we went to Queen Mary Holistic Center located at Medical Plaza. Dr. Chavez is still in Canada so her assistant was the one who treated my son's dental concern. They explained to me the difference between Dental Treatment Plan A and B. So, I choose Treatment Plan A, for practical reasons: root canal treatment wouldn't last because my son is a smoker! I only gave partial deposit in the amount of Php 10,000. Next appointment will be on Nov. 3, at 2 pm

It was past 6 pm when we left from the clinic. Pearl and Shiela picked us up so we went home altogether. We're supposed to do some grocery shopping but since my son wants to rest, we went home after buying the prescribed medicines. At Mercury Drug Store, it took us about 30 mins before we were accomodated because many people were in line buying the medicines. Guess so many people are ill these days...

We've made it home finally, before Randy comes back online. I forgot to run Skype and I found out only he was online when I checked OP. He was upset he couldn't login to Tribal Wars so I activated Account Sitting request he made few days back. I was able to login to his account and researched wood, clay, and iron. The game wouldn't let me logout but fortunately, I remained logged on in my actual account.

Anyway, am relieved my son finally have time for dental treatment. He always set aside appointments before but since he has to undergo full medical checkup, he realized it's about time...

I switched to RT LARGE before I went to the mall alone and had buffet snack at Cabalen while waiting for my daughter. When I got bored waiting for her, I went to SM Customer Service and paid bills then do some window shopping in the basement.

When Pearl and Shiela arrived at Cabalen, I meet them there. A/C was bad after a brief power outage and I had been sweating a lot. Tired of watching people eat, I went to Slimmers World located in the mall basement and talked with Emily. I'd like a REFUND to the programs I paid in advance but couldn't use them unless I lose some weight. She promised to contact me if she finds someone who is willing to take my program instead.

When Pearl and Shiela followed me in Slimmers World, I was too tired to buy groceries. All what I bought was a stainless ash tray for Paul Denise and a trash can with cover. Guess I should consider losing weight, I got tired easily or maybe I had been playing too much online games and I have been real inactive physically.

At home, I blogged a little and did not play the game after Randy and I prayed. Randy received his plane tickets today and am looking forward seeing him again here in Manila on September 28th...

Mumps

Tuesday, August 14, 2007

When Randy logged out to bed after playing Unification Wars with me, Tintin, Junjun, and I went to St. Agnes General Hospital in Roosevelt St. .

We suspected that my son has mumps. Mumps or epidemic parotitis is a viral disease and I didn't allow him to go to school since yesterday.

Junjun at the hospital

At the hospital, he had his CBC checked and upon reading the result, Dr. Philip Nakpil confirmed it was mumps and prescribed #20 500 mg. tablets of Methisoprinol (Isoprinosine), to be taken 4 times a day for five days. Soft food and plenty of fluids are also advised. A medical letter has been given to my son which he submitted to his class adviser after we left the hospital. He is advised to rest for 5 days. If in case he has painful testicular swelling and rashes, he should be admitted to the hospital to save his sperm. His check up fee was Php 200.00 and CBC was Php 250.00 only.

Paul Denise was with Junjun when he came back from school. Their class was dismissed early. Then, we had dinner altogether at Chow King but, Junjun had congee with meatballs only while he's watching us eat Lauriat Sweet n Sour. Anyway, we bought his medicines from Mercury Drug on our way home.

Later in the evening, I was not able to tell Randy all what has happened in the afternoon because he has problem with his PC and couldn't turn on its power. So we talked briefly over the phone 20 mins before he left to work.

Moved Out

Sunday, April 08, 2007

Two days ago, my daughter told me she's moving out on Monday but due to her time shift which was changed from 9am until 12 mn effective tomorrow, she decided to move out today.

I logged out at past 2 o'clock this afternoon in the middle of posting OP in Unification Wars and apologized with Randy for leaving him alone posting OP for our fed mates.

I accompanied my daughter to her new found place. Her new place is somewhat ideal for starters and it has a big swimming pool. After dropping off her stuffs, we went to Pancit Malabon in Cubao and had lunch. Then, we went to Makro, she bought a 4 ft. mini ref and some kitchen stuffs she could use in the next few days. While watching her choosing what she likes, in my heart, I still couldn't believe that my youngest child wants to be independent and live apart from me. Well, after she gets that job in the Call Center in Ortigas, she suddenly developed this kind of guts that everything she touches will turn to gold. Anyway, my greatest fear is to see my children leaving me but, my daughter told me to give her a chance to expand her horizons.

After shopping at Makro, I suggested to leave the grocery shopping the next day as my heels were aching. They dropped me home and she picked up some of her stuffs, including some cookwares. I still do not understand why she wants to live a separate life from us but I will surely miss her. I love my kids but, they couldn't live with me forever. They need space and a life of their own...

Anyway, when my sweety left, I called Ana, the wife of Egay, and we talked about the PC they're selling. After few minutes, she came over to pick up her sons and I gave JM the payment. Randy will be using this PC when we play Unification Wars game.

When Randy came back online this evening, he posted OP for me while I reset my DP. We're so upset after posting OP for everybody, there's no one to post OP for us. These situations happened almost everyday and we're growing tired of being used to take good care of other empires. After I was back in DP, Randy has to come out of DP to take good care of some empires that had been turned down by a fellow fed mate. Then, we recited the rosary before going to bed.

The atmosphere in our place will be different without my daugther around. She takes good care of me and often does things for me. Now that she's into another stage of her life, I am wishing her good luck, prosperity, and God's blessings....

Popular Empire

Monday, March 12, 2007

Today, I finally listed in the number 1 slot in the Unification War's Most Popular Empire Contest. Contest runs on weekdays only and player wins with 15 minimum clicks.

Here's the last five winners:

12 March : LailaTheNight, starfoxy, Gantz03, Ismar
09 March : cotempty, HOPELESS
08 March : Detti
07 March : XcarnageX, Gantz03
06 March : TheGuard, Shindo, TheTitan

How the contest works ?

Each time someone click on my vassal link, I will be given a point. This point is accumulated (no expiry) until I have sufficient points to reach the top 5 empires. Usually, a player only needs about 20-30 clicks so its not that hard to get to the top 5. My fellow fed mates start the clicks last Saturday.

Number #1 Wins 70,000 planets and 2nd to 5th wins 50,000 planets! It's bad timing though, because I decided to do planet and system restructures on my empire at 2 o'clock this afternoon to upgrade Parthenon and dark systems and I still don't receive yet my prize. The bad news is this, according to the Game's Rules and guidelines no. 2: "When receiving the prize, the winner's points will be reversed, if you have 10 points it will be -10."

Since I received 33 clicks from friends and fed mates, my empire will then have -33 points upon receipt of my prize (70k planets).

I spent the whole afternoon upgrading my latest dark system to level 10 (X) and a Parthenon system to level 30 (X) while Junjun was busy with his classmates working on their amplifier project. It's sound was working properly when they tested it with our videoke.

Meanwhile, my daughter left early this morning to represent her school in the Quiz Bee Competition but unfortunately, they arrived few minutes late and were unable to join in the said competition. She felt bad when she arrived home and blamed her school mate for being late. I knew she reviewed a lot and was ready for it.

Anyway, day was great in general. Randy and I watched Deal or No Deal even we're busy playing Unification Wars. My mic sometimes didn't work but, I was thankful we're able to pray the rosary before he left for work. Effective today, they adjusted their time back to standard time (minus 1).

Randy logged out at 9:40 pm, an hour earlier and, I was supposed to go to bed but, since am still levelling up Parthenon system, I have to finish it before my Damage Protection (DP) expires at 03:54 PM tomorrow.

Now that I won the Empire's Popularity Daily Contest, Spartacus, our Fed Leader assigned Randy's empire as the next one to be clicked.

Money Back

Monday, January 15, 2007

Ela called me this morning and congratulate me for the new telephone line. She also asked me whether Marissa return the money already. I told her about the SMS message I received from Marissa this morning. Marissa kept mentioning the name of Mike while in fact, Mike dropped by here yesterday with Ela to prove to me that he doesn't receive any thing from Marissa.

So, I had thought to visit Bayantel office in Roosevelt Branch to inform them that their agent might be using their company to attract people to subscribe to their service and yet, something like my experience might happened with others, too. But, early in the afternoon, Marissa came over and handed me the money. It's just a small amount really but, I told her it wasn't nice to waste our time and tell us tall tales.

Anyway, glad it's Monday and kids will be busy in school until Friday. Sometimes, I feel that this household is too small for all of us. I feel it's unfair that they always feel bad whenever I protect one of them from the other. How they will understand me and how's my feelings right now unless they become parents too?

Thanks, God, that there are couple of games that I can play with Randy online. I restarted Unification Wars this afternoon when I realized it will take me a week to make a profit what Randy could make in a day. All ministers in the game could be level up to 999 and each minister has 4 skills. So, from Terran Race, I switched to Aspha Miner temporarily until I level up all ministers. Researching and upgrading were very tiring. Waiting for the 45 turns to end seemed quite long. The game server isn't that bad today compared yesterday.

It's 9 mins before midnight and Randy will be online soon. I better post this one before I close the browser by mistake. Several times it happened to my entries. I'd thought I published it only to find out it wasn't publish nor save yet.

Now that I got my money back, I really thanked God that I don't have to file a complaint against Marissa. Am sure she needs her job and hurting someone just because of small amount isn't fair with her kids...

Happy New Year 2007

Sunday, December 31, 2006

Today is Day 16 of Randy's fourth visit in Manila. Also, Randy and I celebrate today our One Year Anniversary (of being engaged).

This morning, we got up early so we could go to mass at 7 AM at Sto. Cristo Chapel. The Italian priest, Rev. Fr. Viviano, said the mass in Tagalog, and I had to translate to Randy some words so he could understand the homily. The kids joined us later, because they were so slow dressing up.

The first reading was 1 Samuel 1: 20-22, 24-28. The second reading was 1 John 3:1-2, 21-24. The Gospel was Luke 2: 41-52. The mass was about family.

After church, Randy, my kids, and I went to McDonalds for a good Filipino big breakfast, then when we arrived home, mother arrived a few minutes later. I prepared her a heavy breakfast as she suffered from Diarrhea for three days. When Randy finished checking his mail, he then helped Junjun with his amplifier school project. We then watched the last 2 discs, Episodes 218-223, of CSI (2nd Season): "Chasing the Bus", "Stalker", "Cats in the Cradle", "Anatomy of a Lye", "Cross Jurisdiction", and "The Hunger Artist". I doubted whether we can watch all the Complete Episodes - First Season of MEDIUM and Complete Episodes -Two Season of HOUSE.

Then, later in the afternoon, Randy and I were supposed to celebrate our 1st year anniversary outside but I decided to stay home and attend the 10 pm mass this evening. This upset Randy a bit but then, he cooked instead and served Beef Steaks, mashed potatoes, and corn, for dinner while I made the gravy. Randy was kind of sick and collapsed while he's cooking due to exposure to heat and high humidity. Glady, I was just beside him and caught him before he fell on his knees on the floor. Junjun guided him to go back to the room and was able to cool down infront of the a/c. Although exhausted, he managed to have dinner with me, my kids, and my mother.

After dinner, Randy and I watched Passion of Christ while I napped in between some scenes. It was past eleven in the evening when we finished watching the movie but, we missed the 10 pm anticipated mass already. We all went instead to the Balcony and watched the fireworks display. The kids and Randy had fun recording video clips while I was contented watching them. Since we're on the fourth floor of a building, and we never bother to use any firecrackers to welcome the New Year. I wouldn't like my kids to lose their fingers or hands.

Well, anyway, although we had lost Alexandra in September and we have been through many difficulties this year, I still thank God for the wonderful 365 days of 2006. Randy, my kids, and my family, have been there for me all the time. As we're waiting for the last second of 2006 to end, I'm too excited to welcome year 2007. For me, the beginning of a new year always bring some kind of hope, better luck...

In 2007, I'm wishing you all A BLESSED and PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR and HAPPY 1st year ANNIVERSARY, RANDY!!!

Buffet Dinner at Dad's

Sunday, December 17, 2006

Today is Day 2 of Randy's fourth visit in Manila.

Randy and I had recited the rosary first before going to our buffet breakfast at the hotel's Penthhouse by the pool. We arrived late and all tables had been taken but there is one available under the sun. For less than 30 minutes of sitting under the sun, I had some sunburn on my face and neck! Anyway, the breakfast was good.

We're back to our nest after our breakfast and had a brief nap, as Randy is still adjusting to our local time. Since we have an appointment with the kids later in the afternoon, we got up and we watched more CSI Disc 2, Episodes 205-207: "Scuba Doobie-Doo", "AlterBoys", and "Caged" while waiting for the kids. I had been checking the kids occassionally whether they had been preparing or not.

Junjun, Paul Denise, Pearl, Tintin, and Shiela were waiting downstairs for over 30 minutes at the hotel parking when I remember to call them up again. They had thought we're going downstairs ourselves and calling us had not been an option. Anyway, we hurriedly went down and meet the kids. As the kids welcomed Randy, we handed them their Christmas presents while we're on the way to hear the 5 pm mass. At Sto. Domingo Church, we're happy that the place is big enough to accomodate all of us in one bench.

The first reading was Zephaniah 3:14-18a, the second reading was Philipians 4:4-7, and the Gospel was from Luke 3:10-18. The message the Father put out was about sharing.

After the mass, we went to Dad's Restaurant for Ultimate Buffet Dinner. We have a 6:30 pm reservation for 15 people but we arrived there 30 minutes earlier but, the place was almost full. So while waiting for Edith, Vera, Sherwyn, Delia, and Ate Neth, we started enjoying the Filipino, Japanese, and American dishes. Ate Neth arrived couple of minutes earlier than Vera, Sherwyn, and Delia and as usual, we had fun talking about the latest happenings in Better Living Subdivision, where we once lived for 16 years!

Guess what I found out from Delia about PLDT? They were billed by PLDT for VIBE dialup internet even though no one among her family members are using internet at their home. Also, they were shocked that until to this writing, PLDT does not restore yet the illegal disconnection they made on my phone line.

We're upset that Edith, the manager of Allied Bank, was unable to join us. She's been wanting to meet Randy whenever I talked to her over the phone but, we're surprised she didn't make it again this time. At 9:30 pm, we decided to leave and called it a night. Everyone had a feast, enjoyed the stuffed toys, and the dinner!

Kids dropped us at the hotel and we watched Disc One, NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigation Service: "Yankee White" and "Hung Out To Dry", before retiring for the night.

Nokia 6233

Sunday, December 03, 2006

This morning, daughter had been going back and forth in Unit P to get her cellphone back. On the third visit, she met the culprit and immediately returned to my daughter her lost SAMSUNG D500 cellphone but, without its cover!

My daughet, Pearl, found out that a sim card had been inserted based on new messages sent under sent folder. Its unbelievable that this old taxi driver would know how to turn off that unit unless he's well familiar with high-end phones. Pearl also mentioned that she saw our neighbor was using a PDA when she's knocking at the taxi window. She calmly ignored her as if she didn't hear nor see her asking for her cellphone that was left at the spot where she moved her butt.

Anyway, although we know she was just forced to return the unit, thanks to God daughter recovered her cellphone back. Living without telephone line set us back as we had lost contact with friends, families, and clients. I hate PLDT for causing us all this inconveniences. I still have to draft my complaint letter to NTC against PLDT's illegal disconnection of our phone line, a possible strategy to avoid returning my rebates for DSL payments I made since last May this year when their DSL service turned into a nightmare!

Since daughter had sleepless night worrying about her cellphone, only Paul Denise accompanied me to hear the 5 pm mass at the Lady of Hope Parish near Cyberzone SM North EDSA. Today was the First Sunday of Advent and the first reading was Jeremiah 33:14-16. The second reading was 1 Thessalonians 3:12-4:2 and the Gospel was Luke 21:25-28, 34-36. Rev. Fr. Bart Sagadal said the mass.

After the mass, we went to Smart Communications and upgraded my Plan 1200 to Plan 1800. While waiting for approval, we had dinner at Pizza Hut with Pearl, Shiela, and her sister, who all meet us at Smart Business Office. After an hour, we went back to Smart, my plan had been approved and a NOKIA 6233 unit has been given for free. Its lock-in period is two years but I could get a new unit for free by June 2008! I'm happy with my NOKIA 6630 so I gave the new cellphone to Pearl, who will be celebrating her birthday on the 5th. As a bonus for my son, Paul Denise, for being faithful today, I told Pearl to pass on to her brother her SAMSUNG D500! Then, I instructed her to auction Paul Denise's old cellphone unit for cash as her birthday allowance.

Meanwhile, Randy had been ill these past few days and fixing electrical wiring at the attic made his flu worse. I felt bad that I couldn't do anything as we are 7,401 kilometers away from each other. Anyway, we have only twelve days to deal with and we're going to see each other again. When he logged in the morning (on his side), I told him that I got a new NOKIA 6233 from Smart! I sold some blogs that we're trading in Blogshares and then we recited the rosary before he went to hear mass with Judy and Carlos. I then logged out and went to bed.

Dishonest Neighbor

Saturday, December 02, 2006

Daughter sent me couple of SMS messages while waiting in a taxi cab downstairs but, because I couldn't read messages while seriously talking with my brother, Bhoie, on my cellphone, she called my son's cellphone instead. Well, up to now, PLDT never reconnect yet our phone line in spite of the fact we do not have outstanding balance with them, so, daughter was pretty upset no one was answering her call.

When I saw that daughter was calling Paul Denise' cellphone, I found out she's just downstairs and need some money to pay the taxi driver. That time, mama and I had serious conversation about my brother, Egay (who is in Saudi Arabia), and his wife, Ana (who is here in Manila with their kids). Since I was too in a hurry to give to my daughter the money, I just threw my coin purse from the balcony and daughter got off and picked it up. Then, she unloaded her bags and while paying the taxi driver, our female neighbor immediately went inside the cab and told the driver she's going to Makati.

When daughter was picking up all her things, she found out her cellphone was left inside the taxi! She ran after them and had been knocking at the side window but both driver and our neighbor didn't bother to open and ask what she wants. Instead, the driver sped up while daughter was running after them until she saw another taxi approaching from opposite direction and daughter asked the driver to follow the first cab. Pearl even borrowed the taxi driver's cellphone to inform us that she had left her cellphone in the cab.

All of us had been calling her cellphone. At first, it was ringing but, no one answers and the next couple of calls made was a failure as the unit had been turned off. When daughter came back to our building, she asked again some money to pay for the other taxi.

She's too upset and nervous, we suggested that she should checked all our neighbors in the building who recently had a female visitor who was wearing black and going to Makati. When Pearl and Paul Denise came back, they found out from our neighbor in Unit P that her daughter had an emergenccy meeting in Makati. The mother called her daughter's cellphone and based on her daughter's report, the taxi driver got my duaghter's cellphone and turned it off. The mother assured my daughter that she could pick it up at 10 am tomorrow morning since her daughter claimed that she got the cellphone back from the driver.

Based on my daughter's story, the mother probably had thought that her daughter had an accident that's why she opened the door for them otherwise, my sweetie would not be able to find out who is that dishonest neighbor who had evil interest to hide her cellphone instead of giving it right away when she was knocking at the taxi's side window.

At times like this, too seldom we can find honest people in this world and I cursed whoever stole my daughter's cellphone would get the wrath from heaven!

Happy 27th Birthday, Junjun

Thursday, November 09, 2006

After whole day of collecting facts and figures yesterday, Randy finally corrected the PLDT complaint letter I drafted. Then, after Pearl printed them for me, Pacette and I dropped by to PLDT Business Office and settled with MS. ADELIZA M. ISIDRO my disconnected phone line before doing my shopping to celebrate my son's birthday.

I was fortunate that customer ticket no. 78 was assigned to her as she was the representative who received modem instrument I surrendered on August 11, 2006, when I terminated PLDT MyDSL subscription due to frequent downgrade / interrupted bandwidth speed. I let Ms. Isidro acknowledged the 3-page complaint letter I submitted with subject line: DISCONNECTED PLDT PHONE LINE XXXXXXX.

Ms. Isidro and I spent almost three hours of discussion over how much I should pay so my disconnected phone line could be restored. At first, she told me to pay over 6k, after ignoring DSL charges billed in my account but I told her she's charging me back the disputed amount we already settled in August until she came up with over 4k. Nervous, I already raised my voice and I stood up and asked if there's anyone among other representatives or clients can help us with the computation.

I told her to follow the figures in my letter and have it marked so they can understand well how much I have to pay only. She seemed annoyed already and insisted that she only followed their system computations which made me more nervous. I told her if that similar situation happened to her, what she's going to do about it? Since it's my money and I know how much I have to pay for the phone line basic charges plus IDD/NDD toll charges, I asked her to write the following, to understand better how much I have to pay:

  • For September statement: Php 29,715.49 (current charges) less Php 28,224.01 (September DSL), that's Php 1,491.48 I have to pay.
  • For October statement: Balance forwarded, Php Php 1,491.48 less Php 773.73 (adjustment), that's Php 717.75 (Sept balance) plus Php 1,046.21, that's Php 1,763.96 I have to pay for the months of September and October phone line with IDD/NDD charges.
  • After issuing the check, I remembered that I have to pay for the splitter for Php 200.00 so I cancelled the check and issued another in the amount of Php 1,963.96!
  • I reminded Ms. Isidro that for three consecutive months (May, June. July), I paid Php 2,500.00 monthly for DSL subscriptions that they failed to render. Since I expected rebates, they should reflect them in my October bill but, instead, they disconnected my line for not paying 'September and October DSL charges' which they billed in my account even though I terminated already my subscription since August 11.

I told Ms. Isidro that I need an apology from the billing section whoever made a mistake charging me Php 28,224.01 for September. That's equivalent to eleven months of internet usage! I also told her not to charge me for reconnection fee since I didn't owe them anything. As far as payment is concerned, I still have money with them which I paid in advance for DSL service that I didn't get for three consecutive months. Ms. Isidro apologized to me and she said she represented the billing section as well.

After Pacette paid the bill, she gave Ms. Isidro the OR no. PLAOR000013644 so she can request for reconnection of our untimely disconnected line. Then, Pacette followed me in Jollibee where we had our lunch. I called Randy that we would go straight to SM North after we're done eating. He's happy that I didn't pay the ridiculous charges PLDT billed me in my last two statements.

We went to Cyberzone and inquired about SMART's retention plan and they handed me models of cell phones I can choose from when I want to renew my current subscription plan. My mind is numb worrying too much what to prepare for tonight's dinner. So, I just decided to pay Bayantel SkyDSL NetBasic bill and accompanied Pearl, who met us while in Bayantel. We spent so much time looking for USB mouse for her new laptop. I got myself a keyboard light which is perfect also for her laptop.

I'd thought we're not going to have time to do the grocery shopping but, thankfully, my daughter made up her mind what item to buy. Electronic items these days are so fashionable that it's hard to select which style best suits the budget and its usefulness.

Grocery budget had been tight for this month because I have three students helping me spend the money. After doing my shopping, it's late for me to cook so I bought 3 layer birthday cake from Goldilocks, two stuffed family sized pizza from Pizza Hut, Birthday noodles from Super Bowl of China and some chick-n-chips in a basket from Shakey's.

Kids were starving when I arrived home and we had our happy dinner together. HAPPY 27TH BIRTHDAY, Junjun!!!

DELL Inspiron 6400

Tuesday, November 07, 2006

DHL delivered DELL Inspiron 6400, Intel Core Duo processor T2300E (2MB / 1.66GHz / 667MHz) Randy purchased for Pearl this afternoon.

DELL Inspiron 6400

Daughter's excited and happy that she got a new laptop. Gloria's eVAT, however, made us Php 6,396.00 poorer...

Anyway, thank you very much, Randy, for fulfilling my daughter's wish! You're indeed a wonderful man and I was so touched with the way you care for my children. Wish God will return the blessings to you a thousand-fold.

Behind the overwhelming excitement we had this afternoon upon receipt of my daughter's laptop, PLDT had been always a kill joy! They disconnected my phone line for not being able to pay over Php 34,000 for phone line subscription only for which amount was intentionally charged into my account for giving up PLDT myDSL subscription in August 2006.

If the media would like to investigate the irregularities this giant telephone company had been doing against their subscribers, I would love to furnish them my complaint letters and proof of statement of account wherein I am supposed to be given a refund instead of charging me their monthly DSL fees, even if I already surrendered the unit in August and had been given up on hoping they will be able to fix their service.

I was wondering how many subscribers are suffering like from this PLDT telephone company!

Happy Birthday, Randy

Tuesday, October 31, 2006

This afternoon, my sons are enrolled in the same school but will be taking up different courses.

This evening, Pearl installed Creative PC CAM 750 and also Windows Office in my PC in preparation to my online date with Randy who will celebrate later his 51st birthday on his side, as soon as I login tomorrow morning.

I'm so excited to celebrate Randy's birthday online. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RANDY, with love and devotion from all of us!!!

Meanwhile, I talked with a certain TJ c/o PLDT Hotline 171 regarding high charges on my latest two statements. I had been wanting to send them a complaint email but since I didn't have office program installed in my pc, I kept delaying drafting the complaint.

I terminated already PLDT myDSL since August when I got Bayantel DSL subscription but, to my surprise, they kept charging me with unbelievable charges until to this date, even if I already surrendered their modem and cable!

Another Burning Incident

Thursday, October 05, 2006

Papa had infection when he got burn from the hot cooking oil while cooking lunch for his sick brother last Tuesday, right after he arrived from the burial of Alex.

0

Pacette accompanied Papa to have the treatment at Quezon City General Hospital where they prescribed him antibiotics, cleaning solution, and burn ointment, similar to what daughter have.

They dropped by here at home to visit Pearl and see the extent of her burn on her left arm since after the incident in the evening of Sept 28th at the St Peter's Funeral Home, she was not seen at the vigil nor at the burial. Pain and itchiness caused daughter sleepless nights but she's thankful she got the thermos from my mother before the accident took place. Otherwise, it would had been mama who is aching by now...

Derma Visit

Wednesday, October 04, 2006

I accompanied Sweetie this morning to St. Luke's Medical Arts for follow-up check up of her burnt skin.

0

Exposure to the above warm light relieved her from further itchiness. She was given another tablet, C30, to fascilitate healing process plus additonal Augmentin, C10, Potassium Permangenate (potperm) cleaning solution, and 22 g. Mupirocin ointment. The bill was Php 3,200!

Her next appointment will be next Wednesday.

Going Back To San Diego

Tuesday, August 22, 2006

Randy and I woke up early and recited the rosary before we went to McDonalds, SM North EDSA, to have breakfast at past 9 am. Kids were all sleeping and we didn't bring them with us.

After our breakfast, we then did some grocery shopping before going home. We've planned to buy some ingredients to make taco for lunch but we ended up buying one full cart of goods. Shopping with Randy was fun. He's quick on finding items in the grocery and he seemed to know the place more than I do. We got some breakfast from Jollibee for the kids after the grocery.

We wasted no time as we got home. He kept all the goods we bought in proper places while I was busy pressing his clothes. We're both packing his clothes when delivery guys from Abenson arrived. They delivered the LG 11.5 kg. washing machine Randy purchased 7 days ago. It was so wide it didn't fit in the door, we had to let it pass through kids' room window.

Time is running so fast today. After we removed the old washing machine and cleaned up the mess, he then cooked the meat for taco while I was cutting lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. Taco made by Randy was so yummy I had eaten two big tacos. Kids enjoyed eating with us as well. They had been throwing jokes on me by stopping me to eat more. Behind those smiles, we know deep in our hearts that we're going to miss Randy around...

When Jhun arrived at 6:30 pm, we then went downstairs with Randy's luggage, off to the airport. Paul Denise carried it for Randy because he severely hurt himself yesterday. On our way to the airport, I called Egay, who is celebrating his birthday today. He talked with Randy also and wished him a happy trip. HAPPY 36TH BIRTHDAY, Egay!

At the airport, Randy called me up as I arrived home and we talked for about 30 mins before his final boarding. I can hardly believe ten days is over and he's going back to San Diego again.

Lion's Den 4 Match

Sunday, August 06, 2006

My son, Paul Denise, went to my brother's home last night to set up his game, Rose Online, on Egay's PC.

Our PLDT myDSL connection had been unstable and my son was preparing since last month for today's pRose Online Clan (Player VS Player) Polaris Server's Lion's Den 4 Match. He's a member of LegendsII Clan.

Unfortunately, my brother's Bayantel DSL went dead after probably 30 mins Paul Denise was online playing the game with me. It was too late for him to go home so he slept there overnight.

Early in the morning, he called me from cyber cafe and I assured him that our internet connection had been stable since he left last night. Well, I lied, just to encourage him to go home. Then, he asked me to connect his pRose account while he's on his way home because the elimination round between clans has started. I told Randy that we have to give way to Denise to use my PC until he finished with the competition then, we closed all our programs. At 10:30 am, all players logged into Polaris - Channel 2 server and meet up at Junon Polis.

When GM Lileth summoned the players at 12 noon, the unreliable PLDT myDSL connection dropped him and he was left behind! All of us were upset. Then I called PLDT 172 and told them how bad their timing was. Paul Denise rushed to his fellow LegendsII clan member's cyber cafe while I logged on his account when myDSL logged me back online then I told his clan to wait for him as he was on his way to cyber cafe to login from there.

I run all my programs again and told Randy how upset my son from the "unlimited service" we're paying but we're actually given a dialup bandwidth speed. GM Lileth announced that summoned for the rest of the players was done and no one else will be able to join Lions Den 4 anymore. With that announcement, we're sad and worried for my son but, Junjun, told me later that Denise was able to get through.

We excitedly followed the GM's announcement and I was grateful my son's clan won the first round against Phoenix, Demonz won in the second round against EvoExecutioner, and final round LegendsII won against Demonz with flying colors. The Polaris Clan Winner, LegendsII, will then have to fight against the Sirius Clan Winner on Wednesday, August 9th!

When Denise came back from cyber cafe, he showed the recorded video of their game. Congratulations to the LegendsII clan!

I gave him few minutes to relax and then I asked all kids to get ready for the afternoon mass. Randy remained online with us until we left home to hear the mass.

Since there's 3-days on-going sale at SM North Edsa, traffic was congested that we arrived late at Our Lady of Parish Church. My kids, along with Pearl's two friends, attended the mass. Tintin stayed home due to influenza. Rev Fr. Rey Usmon said the mass and the gospel was Mark 9:2-10. Today's mass was about the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord. The first reading was Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14. The second reading was 2 Peter 1:16-19.

When the mass ended, we're so hungry and feasted on Shakey's Pepperoni and Shakey's Special Pizzas, Chick-n-chips, and Mojos. After eating, Junjun, Pearl, and her friends went home ahead while I accompanied Denise for shopping and he bought some shirts. Kids made an agreement that whatever I spent for Denise, they will get the same shopping allowance. The SM Department Store was crowded and all what Denise bought were 3 pcs of round neck shirts while I bought 4 Sleeveless ones. I failed to use the PLDT Home Rewards Gift Certificate when I was paying at the Cashier Counter so I paid in cash instead. They advised me to exchange them for SM Gift Checks which I did at the Customer Service.

Meanwhile, Randy and I were fortunate enough to recite the rosary in the evening before myDSL went dead again, so was our phone line. Tintin told me it had been like that since we left for the church. I'm just waiting for the right timing to submit a request to PLDT that I'd like to downgrade myDSL to dialup, since I had been getting a dialup speed at the price of myDSL plan. It's about time to give up hoping their service will still improve. Because of the inconveniences they're causing us, my son had to go elsewhere to log online while he has his own PC at home but we have unstable DSL service.

It's kind of annoying Randy and I were unable to voice chat again when he came back from Sunday mass because our DSL connection went dead until I had fallen asleep waiting that our DSL will be restored.

Trip To Seoul Korea

Tuesday, July 11, 2006

Lily c/o Level Up called yesterday afternoon while I was preparing to go to the dentist. She's looking for my son, Junjun, but he was in school that time.

She told me that my son qualifies and might represent ROSE - Philippines to Seoul, Korea for a massive Gravity event! Webzen and Gravity are two of the leading online gaming companies in Asia.

Anyway, still surprised, I gave her the full name of my son, his birthdate, complete address, and his passport number. I was so happy that high cost of electric bills lately might paid off. We are still awaiting for the confirmation today. Lily told me my son will have free ticket to Seoul Korea, free food, and lodging. My son just started playing the game this year when he arrived from his employment contract in Saudi Arabia.

If ever he will represent Polaris server, he will leave on August 11 and will come back on August 14.

Good luck, Junjun!

Well-planned?

Monday, July 10, 2006

Pearl and I went to see her dentist so her stitches be removed. We arrived there on time but, daughter and the dentist took some time debating whether her stitches be removed or not. After educating her about the possible consequences, she decided to let him remove the stiches.

After the dentist, we went to L & S Body Salon just opposite the building, when my brother, Nasser, called up. Straight to the point, he said the EX wants to know whether my counsel had asked for money, based on report by the respondent's counsel.

Surprised, I told him I will return the call after I talk with my lawyer. Even my lawyer was shocked when I asked her whether it's true or not. Then as the conversation went further, she realized it must had been well-planned. She was setup to meet each other at 10 a.m. at Starbucks but the respondent's lawyer arrived at past 11 a.m. Could it be possible that the meeting was planned by the other lawyer so he can meet my lawyer and told the EX later that we are asking for money?

Convinced with my lawyer's explanation, I called again Nasser. I told him to tell the EX not to give money to his lawyer because my counsel never ask a single cent. Whatever is the motive of the other lawyer, I find him dishonest about his transactions with the EX. And I had thought, what a combination, a lying EX and a lying lawyer!

I was just furious though because the Saturday conference cost me half of my lawyer's appearance fee. Some lawyers are charging per hour and others, per appearance.

Well-planned or not, only time will tell... every action has its karmic result!

Welcome Back, Judy

Thursday, July 06, 2006

Finally, Randy's daughter, Judy, arrived from Maryland this evening. He's been busy preparing for his daughter's arrival for couple of days now by cleaning her room and lifting things out to the garage.

He has to stop playing in Blogshares to pick up her daughter, who took another flight via Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas.

Anyway, welcome back, Judy!

Soft Diet

Wednesday, July 05, 2006

Seeing my daughter with a swollen jaw due to last Monday's Odontectomy treatment crushed my heart into pieces.

She's on a soft diet as soon as we arrived from the clinic. She can barely open her mouth that she has to use teaspoon instead of the usual tablespoon. She complained of numbness on her right lower molar teeth area. Thankfully, Randy had the same treatment when he's same age of daughter and he knew exactly what daughter had been experiencing.

Her medication kept her sleeping most of the time. Guess the 2 hours oral surgery made her so tired and weak. She's not allowed to drink directly from the bottle that will require suction, especially using a straw. She's also upset that she couldn't smoke as it will cause dryness on her affected gum with stitches.

Everytime she had her soft diet, she has to use warm salt-water mouthwash as directed by Dr. Ferrer. Her next schedule will be next Monday, to remove her stitches.

First Oral Surgery

Monday, July 03, 2006

Randy and I were having fun playing in BlogShares and made some yummy B$ profits but, I logged out early at past 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon to accompany my daughter to St. Luke's Medical Center.

At Dr. Joel Ferrer's Dental Clinic, N-617 CHBC, Pearl had the X-ray before she had the oral surgery at 2:30 in the afternoon. We brought the digital camera with us so we can take video coverage of her surgery but they won't let me come closer to her due to sterile environment. Couple of times I saw anaesthesia was injected, I know it hurts but, daughter's impacted wisdom tooth has to be removed as her right jaw was swollen for the past two weeks.

At 4:18 p.m., I received a Chikka message from Randy asking me how are things going. Surgery was over then and Pearl had the briefing about post surgical home care. She was in terrible pain as anaesthesia's wearing out. Instead of replying back through a text message, I called him at 4:25 p.m. via overseas call and told him what has happened.

Sweety Pearl couldn't take the pain anymore and hurriedly left the clinic while I paid Php 10,350 only for Odontectomy plus X-ray. I was planning to go to the grocery after dropping Pearl home but, plan was changed because Randy wanted to make sure Pearl arrived home safely. She didn't wait for me anymore and I went home alone. I passed by in Mercury Drug and bought new ice bag and some Gatorade for her. She will be on a soft diet for 3-5 days.

When I arrived home, daughter locked up herself in the room. I filled the ice bag with ice cubes and gave it to her. Earlier, on my way home, I was furious she left me alone in the clinic but Randy explained to me how painful daughter was feeling. So, scolding her won't help her feel better. Then, I chatted with Randy online and asked him to sleep. It was late on his side but he wanted to know whether Pearl was fine... he stopped me from going for shopping as the 24 hour period is critical for Pearl and I must be on her side all the time.

The first oral surgery is just the beginning of the many more dental treatment daughter will undergo. Thank you very much, Randy, for being there for us...

Superman Returns

Sunday, July 02, 2006

Tomorrow will be Pearl's oral surgery schedule so we decided to relax this Sunday.

Randy went to bed so I can prepare to go to the church but, I had fallen asleep while waiting for the kids to get ready. Daughter woke me up 10 minutes to five and I jumped out of bed. We arrived late again in Our Lady of Hope Parish. We seated in the mezzanine where humidity was higher but, that's where there's available seat for me and the kids.

Rev. Fr. Gilbert Ilagan said the mass. Today was the 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time. The first reading was from Wisdom 1:13-15, 2:23-24. The second reading was from 2 Corinthians 8:7, 9, 13-15. And the Gospel was Mark 5:21-43. This is the second week I didn't receive the communion.

After the church, we had a big dinner at Shakey's Pizza. Kids had fun joking about me and we really had a good time. Then we watched the movie, Superman Returns. The movie had been in the middle portion of the story when we entered inside the cinema. The scene was that the plane had been controlled by some kind of a missile attached above the plane. The sound effects were good but, 3D glasses were not available, similar to the ones in Asia Mall. Randy told me that Superman Returns was anti-American based on their local news but, I didn't see any scenes that will support it other than Superman was in the news all over the world, helping people in different places almost at the same time!

When the movie has ended, we decided to go home instead of watching it again from the beginning. Junjun and Tintin left earlier because they received an urgent call from Tintin's brother who was beaten up by some nasty boys.

Hopefully, watching the movie helps daughter forget for a while about her toothache problems. I was worried too about her oral surgery but, she has to do it once and for all.

RE: Dental Treatment Plan

Friday, June 30, 2006

Doing my daily online activities have changed when kids reformatted my HDD due to IRC worms attack, causing all files and data resized to zero. Paul Denise left his PC for me to use and he decided to stay in my sister's house, visiting Jessie, his cousin.

Although I was hesitant to leave this afternoon, I had to accompany Sweety Pearl to satisfy her curiosity to meet the dentists her friends referred to her. I logged out early this afternoon and asked Randy to go to bed since it is important that we made this visit. She's scheduled tomorrow with Dr. Rosette at 2 pm and we're running short of time.

We went to Suite 910 North, Cathedral Heights Bldg. Complex besides St. Lukes Medical Center but, we didn't like the way Lisa welcomed us so we went down to the 6th floor without even meeting Dr, Heidi in person. At Suite 617 North, Dr. Joel Ferrer says exactly what daughter wants to hear and Pearl even said that he could even read her mind. She wanted to ask a question but before she can even say them, Dr. Ferrer had the answers. In short, I cancelled the oral surgery with Dr. Rosette tomorrow and Pearl is scheduled on Monday at Dr. Ferrer's clinic.

For me, I still prefer that my daughter will have the treatment in my friend's dental clinic but, for some reasons, daughter is not comfortable with Dr. Rosette. She prefers my friend, Dr. Meng Chavez, to do the oral surgery on her but she is currently in Canada. She is our family dentist since 1984 and we enjoy a 5% discount.

At the clinic, Dr. Ferrer prescribed couple of medicines that will help my daughter be ready for her oral surgery right after Jocelyn examined her teeth and have taken her medical informations. The cost for daughter's oral surgery is the same as in Queen Mary Polyclinic except that we were charged with consultation fee of Php 600.00 by Dr. Ferrer.

We went to St. Luke's Pharmacy and bought Gelfoam. I was surprised when they charged us Php 1,547.20 for a sterile sponge. I was wondering why we have to buy this gelfoam and for what it will be used for. Our intention in going to St. Lukes was to save some money but, it looks like we're going to spend every small item she will need for her oral surgery.

Anyway, upon Dr. Ferrer's referal, we then proceed to Boston Laboratory for Hematology test. They took Pearl's CBC, CT, BT, PT and PTT. The blood test cost us Php 865.00. Dr. Ferrer says it will gonna be a painless, bloodless surgery as much as possible.

While waiting for a cab, we saw a couple with three children waiting for taxi as well. Then, I couldn't stop my big mouth from giving instructions. I advised them to wait for a cab right there in the loading/unloading area infront of the hospital but according to them, they already waited there yet they got no luck to find one. The wife is about 7-8 months pregnant and the youngest boy held on her husband's arms had been sick and needs liver transplant in Hong Kong. Surprised, I asked more questions until I realized I was still lucky that I have to prepare only about a thousand dollars for my daughter's dental treatment. The couple will need about Php 7.6 M to save their sick yellowish skinned son, whose age is about 3-4 years old only. She said many foundations contributed for their son's medical expense to save their child's life.

There was silence... I looked at every vehicle that passed us.. then, I whispered to myself with relief, "Thanks, God. My children are all healthy."

Dental Treatment Plan

Saturday, June 24, 2006

Pearl and I arrived at the Queen Mary Polyclinic located at Medical Plaza Ortigas after we had our breakfast at Hen Lin, past 2 in the afternoon.

Pearl's Dental Treatment 1

They took a Panoramic Dental X-Ray and upon Pearl's approval, she had been given oral prophylaxis only due to sensitive swollen gums and abscess in her lower right third molar tooth.

Pearl's Dental Treatment 1

Dr. Rosette rescheduled her again next Saturday. Daughter's gum needs healing but she was stubborn not to take in her antibiotic on time, in fear of overdose from Amoxycillin and Mefenamic Acid. Dr. Rosette then handed us Pearl's Dental Treatment Plan which cost is almost equivalent to one full year of college tuition fee!

Dental Treatment Plan:

  1. Panoramic Dental X-Ray: Php 800.00
  2. Oral prophylaxis: Php 750.00
  3. Amalgam Removal: R6, L6, L7; Php 1,380 X 3 = Php 4,140.00
  4. Restoration (Fillings, Lower Teeth): R6, L6, L7; Php 950 X 3 = Php 2,850.00
  5. Odontectomy (Impaction, Lower Teeth): R8, L8; Php 10,925 X 2 = Php 21,850.00
  6. Restoration (Fillings, Upper Teeth): R8, R7, L5, L7, L8; Php 850 X 5 = Php 4,250.00
  7. Extraction: (Upper) R8, L8; Php 1,500 X 2 = Php 3,000.00

Daughter was unhappy that her dental treatment would cost us too much and I had hard time convincing her that I prefer she had the treatment in my friend's dental clinic. She's been asking her friends around how much it would cost us if she will do it in St. Luke's Medical Center.

Randy saw already Dr. Chavez' Clinic and he's convinced that Pearl will have a safer oral surgery than in other dental clinic. She is scheduled on July 1st.

Wisdom Tooth

Wednesday, June 21, 2006

Daughter, 22, had been complaining of toothache as early as March this year when her wisdom tooth, or third molar, ruptures her gum.

She was supposed to have the dental treatment last March but, when she found out it would cost her over US$400, she backed out. Now that her right jaw is swelling, I made an appointment with Dr. Rocette on Saturday at 2 pm for my daughter's tooth wisdom extraction.

However, Dr. Rosette wants Pearl to have her X-ray tomorrow and to brief her as well on the consequences of having an impacted tooth wisdom. She will undergo a "surgery" and that scares her. Randy, who also had his molar tooth pulled out last week, had been telling Pearl that she should go and never wait a single day. My daughter had been gathering facts from others who had impacted wisdom tooth. Some died due to infection, others had their jaw adjusted, and others experienced enlargement of jaw due to pus deposits. I told her it's a part of growing up and she shouldn't be scared of pains.

Dr. Rosette prescribed antibiotic, Amoxycillin 500 mg caps 3 X a day for 7 days, to be taken every eight hours. The Mefenamic acid Tintin bought over the counter for Pearl is to relieve some pain but not enough to stop its swelling.

The Holy Trinity

Sunday, June 11, 2006

Since my internet was restored yesterday afternoon, I was happy to recite the rosary online with Randy this morning. Imagine, for two consecutive days, we recited the rosary using the chat for the mysteries to make sure we're doing the same prayer at the same time.

In the afternoon, the kids, Tintin, and I were late again at 5:00 o'clock mass in Our Lady of Hope Parish. Today is the The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity and Rev Fr Jun Pascual Jr. said the mass. First Reading was Dt 4:32-34, 39-40; Second Reading was Rom 8:14-17; and the Gospel was Mt 28:16-20. Fr. Jun said that there is only one God in Three Divine Persons: God, the Father; God, the Son; and, God, the Holy Spirit. He even set us an example of a mango fruit: the mango skin, the fruit, and the seed are just parts of a mango itself, the way God is as The Most Holy Trinity.

My children were reacting each time the priest mentioned something that hits any one of us that I had to remind them to be quiet as we're inside the church. But, deep in my heart, I was glad my children now enjoyed attending masses in spite of very humid temperature inside the church.

The kids cancelled the bowling when they found out I must do the grocery shopping while they're playing. So, we had buffet dinner instead at Cabalen Restaurant in the second floor of SM North EDSA. While eating, mother informed me through a text message that she's at home waiting for us. On our way to get a cab, strong heavy downpour of rains with strong winds prevented us from leaving the mall. Instead of standing there waiting until the rain will stop, I did some quick grocery shopping. Paul Denise and Pearl went ahead to bring Mama's dinner. When Junjun, Tintin, and I were done shopping, the rain has finally stopped except that broken tree branches scattered on the side streets as if there was a typhoon that hits the city.

At home, I was happy the DSL internet is running. Both Randy and I traded some blogs' shares while watching flickr' shares PE from deflating. Ron joined us later to do some ideas sharing...

OOppssss! Today is my brother's birthday, Happy 41st birthday, Bhoie!

Bowling

Sunday, June 04, 2006

Doing my morning routines with Randy had been easier and running smoothly since PLDT DSL has been restored. Passing on blogs' shares ownerships with my »-(¯`v* NEAT Strategies *v´¯)-» corporate members had been fun. It's nice to make profits without cheating and harming other's investments.

With Randy around, there's never a dull moment but, he had to go to bed at past 1:00 in the morning (San Diego time) since the kids and I were getting ready for the 5:00 o'clock afternoon mass.

At Lady of Hope Parish, we hurriedly took our seats because the mass had started. We're not lucky to sit in one row and I can barely see Rev. Fr. Alfredo A. Pascual Jr., who said the mass. Before our priest start his Homily, he greeted us all a Happy Birthday. He said that today was the Feast of the Pentecost and celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit. The Feast of Holy Pentecost is celebrated each year on the fiftieth day after the Great and Holy Feast of Pascha (Easter) and ten days after the Feast of the Ascension of Christ*. It was conincidence that Junjun and I wore red and so was the priest. The First Reading was Acts 2:1-11 and Second Reading was1 Cor 12:3b-7, 12-13.

After the mass, the kids, Tintin, and I went straight to SM North Bowling Center. I was planning to play to get rid of my headache but I decided to watch our belongings because there were many people playing as well. This time, Pearl and Tintin teamed up against Junjun and Paul Denise. As usual, Pearl's team won but, I didn't award them any prize for the strikes they made. I got headache that I let them play one round and I told them to follow me at Pancake House.

Pearl didn't like the food in Pancake House but, I insisted that Junjun should try also what Tintin used to order when we're eating out. Kids made their orders but were surprised that I asked for Clubhouse Sandwich, Potato Salad, and Beef Sabrina for myself. While waiting for the food to be served, Pearl noticed that majority of customers eating there were wearing red too. I just smiled and commented that they were probably celebrating their birthdays. And, with that statement, they greeted me a Happy Birthday in advanced. When the food was served, Tintin's Pork Vienna order wasn't included. After ten minutes, it was served but all of us were already full.

Although the kids were not satisfied with the kind of food they served, we all had fun. When we're going out of the building, Pearl asked me why I didn't liked to play Bowling. I told her I forgot to trim my long nails...

Paul Denise is back

Saturday, June 03, 2006

Paul Denise is back this evening from his vacation in my elder sister's house after I convinced him that DSL broadband internet speed had been restored since yesterday morning.

Speaking of DSL, I talked with a certain Jo when I called PLDT 171 Hotline early this morning, and I asked for rebates covering the period from May 19 up to June 1. I mentioned to her my sentiments about their lousy tech support service, the poor bandwidth speed I was getting after they upgraded my account, and the corrupt DSL staffs who allegedly were selling extra accounts and passwords to subscribers of Plan 999. She was surprised with what I said but I gave her the link of pinoydsl.com and find out for herself what other DSL subscribers were talking about the PLDT company she's working for. I also asked her what bandwidth I am supposed to get if my plan has been upgraded to 2 mbps. Ever since I subscribed for their DSL service two years ago, I had been getting 500 kbps and below. Now that they upgraded my account, the agony of 4 kbps bandwidth speed everyday for two weeks gave me and Randy hard time running skype and webcam. PLDT VIBE dialup internet helped me communicate with Randy, retrieved mails, and do some Blogshares thingy but, not Neopets. Also, I told her that we had lost some important calls because I disabled calling waiting to have continuous internet connection.

Anyway, Jojo was with Paul Denise when they arrived home. He sang few videoke songs while my boys played their R.O.S.E. (Rush On Seven Episodes) game. Mama and I were busy in the kitchen preparing dinner. She cooked pork adobo and I fried chicken tempura. The dinner was good and I feel better now that my son is back at home.

My Son Left Home

Wednesday, May 31, 2006

I was upset when my Paul Denise wants to have two weeks vacation in Ate Neth's house after finishing his remedial class in Physics.

When I asked him why, he said he just want to spend time with his cousin, Jojo, who will leave to Saudi Arabia, along with his father, to work for a kind prince in the Palace. He packed some canned goods and clothes plus some cash. Paul Denise, like Randy, doesn't like to eat fish and mother used to cook fish and vegetables in Ate Neth's house.

Before Paul Denise left with Christine, his girl friend, I asked him again the reason why he wants to stay there in my sister's house. He said he cannot play R.O.S.E. (Rush On Seven Episodes) because we do not have DSL!

When I talked with Mama over the phone to check the condition of my son later in the evening, she told me a funny thing. She said, Jojo, in return, was bugging his mother so he can spend some days vacation here at home because he loves to do videoke before finally leaving for work... ahhhhh, kids!!!

Meanwhile, my problem with PLDT DSL continue... am still using dial up! I called PLDT 172 Hotline couple of times and reminded them that I was paying my bill on time and they do not have any reason to deny or delay the DSL service I subscribed with them. The evidence of inconvenience brought by this deteriorating subscriber line (DSL) was evident when my son, Paul Denise, left home!

X-Men

Sunday, May 28, 2006

Randy and I had a great time trading in Blogshares due to uninterrupted DSL internet connections. I just wish PLDT DSL will give us now the right broadband speed based on our corresponding subscription plan although I was wondering why I haven't experienced yet the promised 2 mbps upgrade.

After Randy logged out in the afternoon, the kids, Tintin, and I attended the 5:00 o'clock afternoon mass at Our Lady of Hope Parish. Today is the Seventh Sunday of Easter, a celebration of the Ascension of the Lord and the 40th Feast Anniversary of Our Lady of Hope. Rev. Fr. Sonny Merida said the mass today. The First Reading was Acts 1:15-17, 20a, 20c-26 and Second Reading was 1 Jn 4:11-16.

When the mass ended, the kids and I went to the mall to watch X-Men but, when they started smelling the food from the different Fast Foods in the mall, we decided to eat in the Food Court located in the basement of the mall. I bought some from Bodhi Vegetarian Restaurant while the kids got their orders from Jollibee.

When we satisfied our hunger, we watched X-men, The Last Stand in Cinema 1. I never watch X-men and if kids didn't explained to me the previous stories of X-men, I will never understand what I was watching.

When the kids and I arrived home, we're disappointed that we didn't have DSL internet again.

Family Day

Sunday, May 21, 2006

Early in the morning, the technician from PLDT arrived and I explained well to him how my agony started and showed him the DSL packet received and sent, he realized that the problem wasn't on my side but from their Data Center. He said they are going to call me once they brought back their regular DSL internet.

When the kids were up, I had an accident when I was preparing breakfast for Mama and the kids. The harsh brown potatoes, hot dog, cheese omelette and ham were almost done when I accidentally burned myself. Due to shock, I threw the ham back to the pan and hot oil scattered around the burner caught fire until it reached to the pan. I calmly turned off the burner and washed my left arm with cold water. It hurts and I told Randy about it as I went back to our chat.

Randy was not happy about what's going on with my internet. Our chat dropped each time someone called my kids. I had to reconnect the PLDT VIBE again and again just to run the programs Randy and I were using. He's upset we couldn't watch our favorite TV shows together and I couldn't buy all the shares from him. He logged out early to give way for me to get ready.

Before the kids and I left for the Sunday mass, I created BLOGSHARES MISSION #871 - SHARES MARKET SABOTEURS. I will give 100 chips per entry for every one player's artefacts' transaction history they will submit and Randy will give ONE (1) BLOGSHARES PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP to the top submitter... click here to join!

Then, we left to Our Lady of Hope Parish, to hear the 5:00 pm mass. The kids and I were fortunate to be seated in the last row near the church's entrance. Today is the 6th Sunday of Easter and the Guest Priest from Malaysia said the mass. The First Reading was Acts 10:25-26, 34-35, 44-48, the Second Reading was 1 Jn 4:7-10 and the Gospel, Jn 15:9-17, Jesus said to his disciples: "As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love..."

In my heart, I was happy seeing my children attending Sunday mass with me. And, I wished that Randy's with us praying the Our Father. As the mass ended, we went straight to SM Bowling Center but, the kids decided to eat our dinner at Super Bowl of China where we had Fried Crispy Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Sliced Beef with Broccoli, Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet, Birthday Noodles, and 3 orders of Super Bowl Fried Rice. They served their dishes so yummy that we emptied all plates. We're too full to play Bowling so we cancelled it off our schedule. All we wanted was to go home and rest.

At home, the DSL internet upsets me again. I had to use PLDT VIBE dialup internet to chat with Randy before he left to work. There were some entries submitted in my mission but, I couldn't verify them yet because I had very, very, very poor internet speed.

Junjun Enrolled

Saturday, May 13, 2006

Junjun's vacation is over and yet, I didn't liked him to go back to work in Saudi Arabia.

To make him busy, he enrolled today in STI taking up a 2 yr course in Computer & Electronics Technician. I wish I could choose a better course for him but he's so much interested in computer stuffs.

Happy Birthday, Denise!

Wednesday, May 03, 2006

First of all, I want to greet my son, Paul Denise, a Happy 25th Birthday!

Early this morning, Randy and I recited the rosary first before eating breakfast. I had oatmeal mixed with chocolait milk while he had Beef Pot Pie with ice cream cone and soda for dinner.

We watched Fox's House today excitedly. Euphoria has two episodes where Dr. Foreman exhibits the same symptoms as thier patient with uncontrollable laughter and tomorrow's episode, the medical team decides whether to perform a brain biopsy on Foreman as he faces death. We watched also CBS's NCIS and NBC's Law and Order Special Victims Unit.

Randy logged out at past three. He knew that we're going to watch M-I-III starring Tom Cruise but Paul Denise was too slow and seemed not interested. We argued a little bit and I almost postponed treating the kids out to a movie. To neutralize my temper, we went instead to SM Bowling Center at 5 p.m. Pearl and Denise teamed up against Junjun and Tintin. They played two rounds but Denise's team won. Only two successful strikes were made by Pearl and Junjun. It was first time for Tintin to play.

I hurriedly asked the kids to eat in the mall because I want to go home before 8:30 in the evening. We're arguing where to eat, whether we will do it in Super Bowl of China, Shakey's Pizza, or Pizza Hut until we passed by in a Family Karaoke. Denise had been asking me to try the place since last year and after knowing the cover charge and room rates per hour, we got our place and I sang one song, kids were too slow selecting their songs. I got 77 score with a note that I can go home, the kids laughed at the message. With a sad face, I stood up and pretended leaving. But, as I went out of the room, I ordered the food but were disappointed with the food and beverages available. Everything I asked were out of stock. I was uncomfortable and wanted to leave but, I didn't like to spoil the evening. As they served the food, kids alternately sang their numbers. We barely noticed we've been there for almost two hours until they informed us whether we like to extend for another hour. We had enough sore throats. Besides, I need to be home before Randy logs in back online.

Kids had fun but, were unhappy with the food and extra charges they added to the bill. To satisfy them, we take out some food from Jollibee before going home. While waiting for a cab, I prayed and wished my Paul Denise a nice future, full awareness about life, and a productive year ahead.

Happy Birthday, Denise!

Best Achiever

Friday, April 28, 2006

We had three reasons to celebrate at Dad's Restaurant - West Avenue this evening.

Dinner at Dad's

First, I introduced Randy to my friend, Atty. D, and to my counsel, Atty. R, who is the one handling the three cases I filed this year. Atty. R gave me the filing receipts of Cases II and III! She advised me to be ready for the series of hearings to be held in May and June.

Next, is to celebrate my Pearl's graduation day from the Automotive Course but, she surprised me with her Best Achiever TESDA Award and Certificate! Congratulations, Sweetie!

Third, it's Tintin's 26th birthday! Happy Birthday, Tintin!

Dental treatment

Friday, March 31, 2006

I sent the kids for dental treatment at Queen Mary Polyclinic located just behind SM Mega Mall. Due to their rush schedule, only Junjun and Tintin were accomodated and they have to go back on April 5 at 2:30 p.m. and on April 8 at 5 p.m. Pearl's wisdom tooth needs to be extracted but it cost dearly to do so.

Meanwhile, Paul Denise gave us all a hard time. He refused to go and went to school instead to pay his remedial class. His class will start on Monday, April 3rd.

Incomplete Grades

Thursday, March 30, 2006

Paul Denise didn't come home last night since he left in the afternoon to follow up his remedial class in Physics.

When he showed me yesterday a note from STI College about his fair and incomplete grades, I exploded with anger.

Three years ago, he told me he wanted to continue his studies and would take it seriously. When I sold our house in April 2004, I sent him and Pearl to college. Pearl did well with the TESDA Automotive course she had chosen and Paul Denise, although intelligent in class, missed going to school due to addiction to online games! I advised him to take afternoon class but he insisted to get morning class because all his close friends were in the morning class, too.

Almost every night, I had to tell him to go to bed and in the morning, I had to wake him up and reminded him to go to school. My son will be 25 on May 3rd and yet, I feel he doesn't have any ambtition in life, except being my son!

I feel so lost and a failure as a mother when it comes to him..

Welcome Home, Junjun!

Monday, March 06, 2006

My eldest son arrived at 1635 HRS this afternoon via CX 919 from Saudi Arabia! Tintin and I picked him up at the airport after series of text messages about his flight details and status. He finished his two years employment contract there and knows how to speak Arabic now.

His siblings were joyful upon seeing their big brother. They stayed up late playing Junjun's newly brought electronic toys. The rest of his luggage will be delivered on Friday!

I'm so happy my three children are united again!

And, oh! Many thanks to Randy for sending Welcome eCard to Junjun, as well as the Double Chocolate Curl Ice Cream Cake ordered from FILGIFTS!

Happy Birthday, Sweetie!

Monday, December 05, 2005

Sweetie celebrated her 22nd birthday today with mother, Tin, Ariane, Paul Denise and me at Dencio's Restaurant, Gateway, Cubao. She refused to celebrate it unless mother joins us.

Happy 22nd Birthday, Sweetie Pearl!

Happy Birthday, Junjun!

Wednesday, November 09, 2005

Birthday greetings to my eldest son, Junjun, who is celebrating his birthday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Junjun's wife, Tintin, came home late this afternoon from work. When Sweety arrived in SM North Edsa from school early this evening, I called Super Bowl of China - SM North outlet, tel. no. 9298895, and made my order over the phone. I ordered the same food we had on Sept 14th, my sister's birthday, namely: Birthday Noodles, Hunan Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, Black Pepper Chicken Hot Pot, Hunan Tofu Hot Pot, and Yung Chow Fried Rice.

When we arrived in Super Bowl of China, my daugthter and Ariane had eaten already. Paul Denise and Tintin barely touched the food because we had late lunch before leaving the house. We had a nice time when daughter, Pearl, made some jokes with the camera shots she made for Tintin. We didn't make group picture taking.

We passed by in CyberZone and bought some eLoad for Junjun before going home. After receiving a text message from my son, we called him via long distance call. We missed talking to him and we're all looking forward to his forthcoming vacation in April 2006!

HAPPY 26th BIRTHDAY, JUNJUN!

2nd Sem

Monday, November 07, 2005

Second semester starts today but I didn't enrol Paul Denise this time! He's not taking his studies seriously and besides, women are running after him.

I'd thought to start fixing my son's papers to send him to work abroad. Being a Mama's Boy, it's about time he should be independent and responsible to himself and all his actions.

I just wish I will never regret this decision... so, help us, Almighty God!

TESDA Scholarship

Tuesday, July 26, 2005

My daughter was fortunate enough to be selected by International Bizarre Foundation today, a TESDA Women's Center sponsor. She will be given some allowances from July until December this year, taking up General Automotive Mechanic Course.

It's against my will when she decided to stop taking up her Engineering Course at the University of the East but, since she's old enough to do what she wants, I'll be on her side to support her in all her endeavours.

Meanwhile, while my daughter understands fully the situation of our finances, my Paul Denise had been giving me so much headache this month. His attitude made me upset lately.

Few days ago, in the middle of my sleep, I woke up grasping my breath. I wasn't worried about myself but had thought of the kids. I uttered a short prayer that may God protect me from any harm and that, I may need a longer life to watch over my kids' welfare...

Back To School

Tuesday, June 07, 2005

Paul Denise shifted from BSCS (Bachelor of Science in Computer Science) to BSIT (Bachelor of Science in Information Technology) today and he sought my authorization due to strict implementation of school authorities against students from changing courses almost every semester without their parents approval.

Thanks, God. Paul Denise is now enrolled.

Sweety is still completing her TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) requirements after she got AA+ in her admission test. She will not continue her studies in the University of the East. She's supposed to have her medical today but she's not feeling well.

For the past couple of weeks, she tried her best to find a job both local and abroad but she found herself still too young to get the job she wanted. It had been an issue in the household who should follow who but since she's already 21 and knows what she wants, I assured her that I just want the best for her and I'll be here for her...

Change of Mind

Tuesday, May 24, 2005

For the past three days, my daughter became busier outside our home. She's pursuing a job which made me feel upset lately because next month, school year 2005-2006 will start and I want her to continue her studies in college taking up Engineering course.

When I told her last month that I can afford to send them to the university for another year, she started thinking about getting a job instead and suggested she will take care of her school expense by herself once she's able to.

This idea made me feel uncomfortable. I made a vow (to God) to send them to school while I can still afford it but now that she changed her mind, I am not sure whether I should be happy my youngest kid is now responsible and thinking of helping with the household expense.

I pray that God may enlighten and guide us well to the right path... my daughter is 21.

Happy Birthday, Paul Denise

Tuesday, May 03, 2005

Today is my son's 24th birthday. His birthday celebration wasn't complete because his GF went for taping in Bulacan.

Anyway, Happy Birthday, Paul Denise.

Missing Junjun

Saturday, April 30, 2005

My eldest son, Junjun, had been away from us for a year now since he left on April 30, 2004 when he decided to work in Saudi Arabia instead of continuing his studies. I terribly missed my son but, I should let him establish himself and let him get work experience abroad.

He sent me these photos yesterday.

Frozen Eggplant

Thursday, March 17, 2005

Last night, I instructed my son to keep the meat in the ref before going to bed. Spoilage of foods was common nowadays and proper storage of food will give them something to eat in the morning.

When I got up this morning and opened the freezer compartment to bring out meat, I saw a frozen eggplant. Puzzled, who on earth would want eggplants frozen?

I've waited in the afternoon until kids arrived home. I questioned Sweety Pearl and Paul Denise. The latter admitted he was the one who placed it last night because he wanted to free up the ref some space.

Well... my son is one of a kind...
