Closed Account

Thursday, June 25, 2009

Randy and I woke up early this morning to do some shopping.

We changed first some US dollars (Series 1996) at Banco De Oro (BDO) then we deposited some money in Allied Bank - North EDSA.

We walked on our way to SM North EDSA where we had our breakfast at McDonalds before doing our grocery shopping. We're almost done with the shopping when Junjun and Tintin meet us at the counter.

They are going to Parañaque and I want them to close my ABC savings account there which has been inactive for two years. Banking with BDO is faster because they are accessible in malls from 9 AM until 7 PM unlike Allied Bank that closes at 4 PM. I still have an active checking account with Allied Bank in Parañaque City even no longer living there, since 5 years ago. The Bank Manager there is my friend.

Randy and I enjoyed our shopping but in spite of full freezer, we're lazy to cook something for dinner so we just ordered Family Super Supreme and Pepperoni Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut.

Junjun and Tintin arrived late in the evening while Randy and I were watching the continuation of Season 1 of CSI. They told me that they closed my account and balance was deposited to my current account.

Smooth Monday

Monday, June 25, 2007

Randy and I reset our DP in the morning, as well as our Stargate Warriors fed mates, so I can leave to the bank.

Tintin and I went to EPCIB to get some money from my ATM account at past 12 noon but, unfortunately, network was OFF-LINE so I had to fall in line and withdraw some money over-the-counter.

Weather temperature was hot and humid in spite of cloudy skies. I didn't liked to go out but I have to because I have to settle some bills tomorrow. After EPCIB, I deposited some money to my ABC checking account. My daughter used to do this task for me but now that she has work and been living independently, I had to do this all by myself. Both Junjun and Denise were preparing for school when I left.

Randy was online in Skype and waiting for me when I arrived. Everything ran smoothly and we continue using our turns to do some INFRA research in our Unification Warsgame. Randy logged out late for bed to claim his SP5 and Regalos. I was tired when he left to bed and I rested for couple of hours.

When I woke up, I posted some a.Kryo and c.Aries warships in outpost for DragonHierarchy and Deanosaur while cooking Nilagang Baka for dinner. As usual, I was the only one online posting OP for my fedmates. I've done some Uncommon Artifacts digging and prayed the rosary with Randy when he came back online. Few minutes later, he left for work, I had thought to blog a bit. So far, we have a smooth Monday... what else can I say?

Heads Up, Ladies

Thursday, December 14, 2006

I had been pretty busy preparing the house for Randy's fourth visit . Both of us are too excited to see each other again after his last August visit.

This morning, Randy logged in late. His daughter told me on Skype Voice that he called and will be late an hour more since he will pass by to the store on his way home. When Randy arrived home, he told me that it took him couple of hours to do the equipment maintenance in front of a camera. His video footage will be used for teaching purposes.

This afternoon, while Randy and I were watching Medium via Skype webcam, I called Jun Mondejar of Equitable PCIBank after I received SMS from him. He informed me the feedback from ATM center that it might take us between 7 and 16 days tracking period to find out where my missing PhP10,000 went. Last Saturday, the said amount had been accidentally withdrawn from my Visa Electron Card after a failed transaction in Metrobank ATM in SM Supersale outlet. Inconveniences brought by this wired transaction error had been affected many depositors and clients this is why I prefer to pay cash than use my card to avoid double charges.

Meanwhile, Randy and I were both upset with the reactions posted by some players in the Blogshares Forum Gallery so I had thought to share this joke from Bilal Basit for a change:

"In the hospital the relatives gathered in the waiting room, where their family member lay gravely ill.

Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and somber.

"I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news," he said as he surveyed the worried faces.

The only hope left for your loved one at this time is a brain transplant. It's an experimental procedure, very risky but it is the only hope. Insurance will cover the procedure, but you will have to pay for the brain yourselves..."

The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a great length of time, someone asked, "Well, how much does a brain cost?"

The doctor quickly responded, "$5,000 for a male brain, and $200 for a female brain."

The moment turned awkward. Men in the room tried not to smile, avoiding eye contact with the women, but some actually smirked. A man unable to control his curiosity, blurted out the question everyone wanted to ask,

"Why is the male brain so much more?"

The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and explained to the entire group, "It's just standard pricing procedure. We have to mark down the price of the female brains, because they've actually been used." (End of Joke)

Well, many thanks to Bilal for this laugh.

Load.com.ph

Thursday, August 31, 2006

Randy had a busy day at work, as well as with his dentist and ex-wife, Rose. She dropped by at his place to do some paperwork. I took advantage of the situation to do my laundry until he's back online to chat.

When I went to Equitable PCIB with Pearl and Shiela at past one in the afternoon, I told him to go to bed early so we can pray the rosary before he leave for work.

I deposited Php 5,000.00 (US$ 99.00) to load.com.ph's Acct. no. 1238-01816-8 Equitable PCIB, Pasig - Kapitolyo, photocopy the transaction then faxed it to 6723260. Then, I went to Allied Bank to deposit the MC I purchased. We spent the rest of the afternoon doing some grocery shopping. Paul Denise later followed us to help us carry 22 bags of grocery items.

When we arrived home and I logged in to load.com.ph, they already credited the 6% to my account, I've got Php 5,300.00 load credits! Load.com is a FREE prepaid load service provider via the Internet, Text Messaging, or WAP! Besides, I want to purchase any product in load.com.ph at discounted rates and more convenient for me to pass load to my children without using my post paid line. What I liked too is that I don't have to look for any prepaid game cards elsewhere to top up my Rose Online account as my game time ended this evening at 2310 H.

Level Up is celebrating its 4th year anniversary and they are giving away 15 additional days game time if we top up between August 15 and September 15, 2006. I was just hesitant to credit six 500 load to my account to enjoy 365 days game time + three months free following ePLDT’s 60 percent buyout of Level Up!

Free iPod 40GB

Friday, January 14, 2005

Have you ever encounter this advertisement line while surfing: "Don't Miss Out on a Free iPod. Sign Up for Your iPod Today."???

What's the deal? All you have to do is follow their participation requirements and terms and conditions which involves signing up for certain sponsor offers and completing a marketing offer survey. How do I know about this? Michael contacted me this morning by e-mail and asked permission whether he can send me money thru XOOM. Surprisingly, I asked couple of questions until I found out he has to complete the signup procedure at Incentive Reward Center. Whether this is legitimate or not, only those who have registered know the answer.

After we exchanged words, I realized he found me through Google Search and he's a fellow player on Blogshares. Trust established, he completed the XOOM transaction and I bought 1 share of Jesus Tribe for B$ 1Trillion...

Excerpts from Jesus Tribe's Jumping thru hoops for iPod:

THis is going to be harder than I thought. THe UK money has to be sent thru a Barclays bank account. THat leaves me with the Philippines. Now I just have to find someone in the UK with a Barclays bank account or a blogger in the Philippines that can pick up some money at an Equitable PCI Bank. This is becoming quite an adventure in websurfing. Looking for the right person. Maybe it will be just the right person that needed the money. I bet thats how it turns out.

SONY DHC-FLX5DSW

In spite of bad weather, I went to the bank and completed transactions to avoid doc stamp fee. Glad Sweety Pearl accompanied me since their class was suspended.

From the bank, we did some grocery shopping at SM North Edsa and I was surprised that even in the middle of bad weather, there were lots of people doing their shopping spree.

Xoom Money Transfer

Tuesday, November 23, 2004

Even Randy was so tired yesterday from the eBay auction, he was able to pay ladylaila.net's domain and webhosting fees via PayPal. That made Alvino the indirect sponsor of this blog!

Then, he sent the rest of the money using XOOM.COM, the easiest way to send money to the Philippines. Xoom.com uses PayPal to process the transaction and securely sends the money to Equitable-PCI Bank, the bank of the controversial Jose Pidal.

I then picked up the money this morning and open an account with them for my future online transactions. Jessie M. Borlaza was the one who assisted me well. Claiming the money was easy. I presented my passport and driver's license for identification purposes, Xoom Tracking Number XPH-63876-85690.

Those who want to send money to the Philippines, the details you need are:

Recipient First Name:
Recipient Last Name:
Recipient Address Line 1:
Recipient Address Line 2:
Recipient City:
Recipient Country: PH
Recipient Phone:

After sending the money, advise your recipient the Xoom Tracking Number and the secret word and/or better forward the e-mail from PayPal with subject line: Your Xoom Money Transfer Has Been Processed For Pickup. It is important to take note of the location code of the bank where the money is being sent since Equitable-PCIBank has over 400 branches nationwide.
