Be wellMonday, July 06, 2009To Former President Corazon Aquino who is hospitalized due to lack of appetite, Randy and I are praying for your safety and well-being. To Gloria Arroyo who had Executive Checkup two days ago at Asian Hospital and Medical Center, I hope you will get better soon. The country needs you to complete your term. Today, I have sore throat and occasionally experienced difficulty in breathing. If I don't feel well tomorrow, I will go to a nearby hospital to have my checkup... with my fingers crossed, hope it is not A(H1N1)... When Randy logs on, we will include the above well-loved women in our prayers. He arrived home at 6:38 AM Manila time and contacted me on Skype. Our Skype calls dropped every 5 minutes, which was kind of weird. It's not Bayantel's fault this time, I have good internet connection after they bundled my phone and internet lines. We never tested Skype calls when we upgraded Skype to the latest version while he's here in Manila. Anyway, Randy's resting well from a long 26 hours trip. I shall wait for him to come online...

Missing Air France JetWednesday, June 03, 2009Flight AF 447, carrying 228 passengers and crew members, are believed to have vanished in a towering thunderstorm, search is on for wreckage of missing Air France Jet. Arden Jugueta, a Filipino seafarer in missing Air France jet was identified. Both Randy and I were puzzled at how Airbus A330-200 would vanished without a trace unless the aircraft exploded in the sky. On May 27th, Security personnel at Buenos Aires-Ezeiza airport in Argentina delayed an Air France flight before departing for Paris after the company received a bomb threat over the phone. While Air France searchers find debris in Atlantic, there was no sign of life, in spite of efforts made by authorities. Hopes dim for 228 aboard missing French jet and they will be all in our prayers every night. May their souls rest in peace...

Dental Check-UpTuesday, June 26, 2007I woke up late this morning with a terrible headache. Today's my scheduled dental appointment and I was worried I won't make it. Randy's already online when I logged on in the Unification Wars game. Our fedmates encouraged me to take rest but I have to reset my DP before going to my late afternoon appointment. Everything went smoothly in the game untl we had power outage. I called Randy to go to bed in case I won't be able to login back in the game. Power was restored at 2:45 pm but Randy went offline already. So, Tintin and I left to see Dra. Meng chavez, Unit 2503 Medical Plaza, Ortigas Center. After long story-telling about my lovelife, she explained to me that I had infection and my molar tooth needs biological extraction to avoid further complications. The said infection can lower my immune system defense and can cause heart problems. She suggested two treatment plans, whichever is more convenient for me after the extraction: Lower Bilateral Denture (Plan A, Php 20,700.00) or Implant / Implant Crowns (Plan B, US$ 3,450 + Php 75,900.00). Knowing that I had a nice figure before, she advised me to refrain from eating rice since I have gained so much weight since the last she saw me. I also mentioned to her that I stopped taking antibiotics Dra. Rosette prescribed to me because I itched a lot and I even had skin allergy again. Before extracting my molar tooth, she asked me to submit the following blood tests by fax or email: FBS, complete CBS, Bleeding & Clotting Times. Fasting from 12 midnight before blood test should be observed. I mentioned to her also about my unknown illness last year. So. Dra. Chavez recommends me to check online QUANTUM Electro Physiological Frequency Xrroid EPFX - SCIO and if I liked it, she could give me 'Biofeedback solutions for stress' sessions. The first session would cost me higher than the succeeding sessions and I am not sure if I am ready for these expenses. Meng told me that our dear friend, Madam Olie, passed away last April this year due to Diabetes complications. I feel guilty for not seeing her for the last time. Wherever she is right now, may her soul rests in peace. Randy and I will include her in our prayers. Meanwhile, my family dentist/best friend will stay here in Manila until last week of September, before going back to Canada. I hope Randy will meet her on his next visit.

New PrinterSunday, January 28, 2007Randy and I are definitely addicted now to the new game, Unification Wars, we've been playing for almost three weeks now. Getting ready for church seemed not easy for me but, I still have to do some things after mass as I delayed it for couple of days now. Paul Denise, Pearl, and Shiela accompanied me to hear the 5 pm mass. Junjun has a school project to finish and Tintin was busy with their laundry. Anyway, as expected, we arrived a bit late and Rev. Fr. Jun Pascual was almost done with his homily when we got our seat at the mezzanine. Today was the Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time. The first reading was Jeremiah 1:4-5, 17-19. The second reading was 1 Corinthians 12:31-13:13. The gospel was Luke 4:21-30. We bought a new 3-in-1 printer, HP Photosmart C3180 from Silicon Valley - Cyberzone, SM-North EDSA after the mass. This copier/printer/scanner is compatible with Vivera ink cartridge 92, 93, 95, and 99. In my mind, I'd like to buy 3-in-1 EPSON STYLUS CX3900 or the 4-in-1 EPSON STYLUS CX5900. Both copier/printer/scanner are using DuraBrite ink cartridge that's waterproof and long-lasting. However, my kids and Randy prefer HP over EPSON. I'd like the handsome look of EPSON but, its printer head, according to the kids, will wear out in due time and quality printing will suffer at the end while HP printer head comes in every ink cartridge to ensure quality printing. Anyway, the new printer and extra ink cartridge cost us Php 7,835.00! SM-North Edsa Shopping Mall will have a 3-day sale on February 3, 4, and 5 and I was wondering whether I made the right decision in buying the printer early. Kids have school projects to print out and delaying the purchase and have them print outside their school projects will cost me just the same. We had dinner at Mangan before going home. We're looking for something different to eat as the kids got bored from my cooking. Unfortunately, the Tanguige fish in Miso soup made me feel sick. I postponed doing some grocery shopping and paying the Meralco bill. At home, the browser reset thingy gave me hard time again. This new router made us feel uncomfortable. For some reasons, it disconnected Firefox browser and I had to reset modem and router to be able to get another connection. What's worse, I had to close open windows so I can get internet connection. Junjun made a thorough viirus scanning on Denise's PC and found 59 viruses. When Randy logged in and we prayed the rosary, I realized I couldn't stay online any longer even I wanted to. I vomitted twice and called it a night. Going to bed scares me though but, maybe I was just tired going around to look for printer to buy. Pearl installed the printer on her laptop and printed her project but, I told her to install the printer in my hard drive tomorrow morning. The kids are happy that I bought HP printer instead of Epson and I wish I made the right decision.

New PhoneSunday, January 14, 2007Bayantel technician came early this morning and installed our new telephone line. They had difficulty with the wiring but after an hour of dedication, they hooked up a new telephone line for us. While the Bayantel men are working, my kids embarassed me not only to those people but to all the neighbors who reside in the building. They had heated argument over the house keys of Junjun and Denise which accidentally were thrown to the garage of our neighbor. Pearl arrived at past 2 am and needed a key to open the gate. Both Junjun and Tintin were playing a local network game, they hurriedly throw the key from the balcony but they miscalculated it and it landed in our neighbor's garage downstairs. Because of misunderstandings between my kids, only Paul Denise joined me to hear the 5 PM mass at Lady of Hope Parish. Rev. Fr. Jun Pascual said the mass and assisted by a deacon, Rev. Fr. Bong Turingan. It's the Second Sunday in Ordinary Time. The First Reading was Is 62:1-5 and the Second Reading was 1 Cor 12:4-11. The Gospel was Jn 2:1-11. Rev. Fr. reminded us about the importance of family and marriage in God's eyes. After the mass, Denise and I did some grocery shopping at SM - North EDSA. Pearl followed us later and helped us with the shopping. When I was almost done with the shopping, Ate Neth met us inside the grocery section and handed me Flora's Christmas gift. A Victoria's Secret cream and an umbrella with her recruitment agency logo. Flora worked for my EX as Liaison Officer in Saudi Embassy for several years. Whatever made her remember me, I didn't call her even Ate Neth gave me her cellphone number. The annulment case is on-going and I didn't liked to have any connections with the EX and his employees. Calling her would reveal my contact details and being quiet about the gift is better than losing my privacy. Now that we have a new phone line, it only proves one thing, I must forget about the past contacts and must move on. I thanked God I have Randy...

Happy New Year 2007Sunday, December 31, 2006Today is Day 16 of Randy's fourth visit in Manila. Also, Randy and I celebrate today our One Year Anniversary (of being engaged). This morning, we got up early so we could go to mass at 7 AM at Sto. Cristo Chapel. The Italian priest, Rev. Fr. Viviano, said the mass in Tagalog, and I had to translate to Randy some words so he could understand the homily. The kids joined us later, because they were so slow dressing up. The first reading was 1 Samuel 1: 20-22, 24-28. The second reading was 1 John 3:1-2, 21-24. The Gospel was Luke 2: 41-52. The mass was about family. After church, Randy, my kids, and I went to McDonalds for a good Filipino big breakfast, then when we arrived home, mother arrived a few minutes later. I prepared her a heavy breakfast as she suffered from Diarrhea for three days. When Randy finished checking his mail, he then helped Junjun with his amplifier school project. We then watched the last 2 discs, Episodes 218-223, of CSI (2nd Season): "Chasing the Bus", "Stalker", "Cats in the Cradle", "Anatomy of a Lye", "Cross Jurisdiction", and "The Hunger Artist". I doubted whether we can watch all the Complete Episodes - First Season of MEDIUM and Complete Episodes -Two Season of HOUSE. Then, later in the afternoon, Randy and I were supposed to celebrate our 1st year anniversary outside but I decided to stay home and attend the 10 pm mass this evening. This upset Randy a bit but then, he cooked instead and served Beef Steaks, mashed potatoes, and corn, for dinner while I made the gravy. Randy was kind of sick and collapsed while he's cooking due to exposure to heat and high humidity. Glady, I was just beside him and caught him before he fell on his knees on the floor. Junjun guided him to go back to the room and was able to cool down infront of the a/c. Although exhausted, he managed to have dinner with me, my kids, and my mother. After dinner, Randy and I watched Passion of Christ while I napped in between some scenes. It was past eleven in the evening when we finished watching the movie but, we missed the 10 pm anticipated mass already. We all went instead to the Balcony and watched the fireworks display. The kids and Randy had fun recording video clips while I was contented watching them. Since we're on the fourth floor of a building, and we never bother to use any firecrackers to welcome the New Year. I wouldn't like my kids to lose their fingers or hands. Well, anyway, although we had lost Alexandra in September and we have been through many difficulties this year, I still thank God for the wonderful 365 days of 2006. Randy, my kids, and my family, have been there for me all the time. As we're waiting for the last second of 2006 to end, I'm too excited to welcome year 2007. For me, the beginning of a new year always bring some kind of hope, better luck... In 2007, I'm wishing you all A BLESSED and PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR and HAPPY 1st year ANNIVERSARY, RANDY!!!

Nokia 6233Sunday, December 03, 2006This morning, daughter had been going back and forth in Unit P to get her cellphone back. On the third visit, she met the culprit and immediately returned to my daughter her lost SAMSUNG D500 cellphone but, without its cover! My daughet, Pearl, found out that a sim card had been inserted based on new messages sent under sent folder. Its unbelievable that this old taxi driver would know how to turn off that unit unless he's well familiar with high-end phones. Pearl also mentioned that she saw our neighbor was using a PDA when she's knocking at the taxi window. She calmly ignored her as if she didn't hear nor see her asking for her cellphone that was left at the spot where she moved her butt. Anyway, although we know she was just forced to return the unit, thanks to God daughter recovered her cellphone back. Living without telephone line set us back as we had lost contact with friends, families, and clients. I hate PLDT for causing us all this inconveniences. I still have to draft my complaint letter to NTC against PLDT's illegal disconnection of our phone line, a possible strategy to avoid returning my rebates for DSL payments I made since last May this year when their DSL service turned into a nightmare! Since daughter had sleepless night worrying about her cellphone, only Paul Denise accompanied me to hear the 5 pm mass at the Lady of Hope Parish near Cyberzone SM North EDSA. Today was the First Sunday of Advent and the first reading was Jeremiah 33:14-16. The second reading was 1 Thessalonians 3:12-4:2 and the Gospel was Luke 21:25-28, 34-36. Rev. Fr. Bart Sagadal said the mass. After the mass, we went to Smart Communications and upgraded my Plan 1200 to Plan 1800. While waiting for approval, we had dinner at Pizza Hut with Pearl, Shiela, and her sister, who all meet us at Smart Business Office. After an hour, we went back to Smart, my plan had been approved and a NOKIA 6233 unit has been given for free. Its lock-in period is two years but I could get a new unit for free by June 2008! I'm happy with my NOKIA 6630 so I gave the new cellphone to Pearl, who will be celebrating her birthday on the 5th. As a bonus for my son, Paul Denise, for being faithful today, I told Pearl to pass on to her brother her SAMSUNG D500! Then, I instructed her to auction Paul Denise's old cellphone unit for cash as her birthday allowance. Meanwhile, Randy had been ill these past few days and fixing electrical wiring at the attic made his flu worse. I felt bad that I couldn't do anything as we are 7,401 kilometers away from each other. Anyway, we have only twelve days to deal with and we're going to see each other again. When he logged in the morning (on his side), I told him that I got a new NOKIA 6233 from Smart! I sold some blogs that we're trading in Blogshares and then we recited the rosary before he went to hear mass with Judy and Carlos. I then logged out and went to bed.

The BurialTuesday, October 03, 2006Egay and his family picked us up early this morning. We bought some juices and medicine for Ericson's stomach upset on our way to St. Peter's Funeral Home. ![]() We arrived there at Room F at 8 am this morning. Rev. Fr. Oscar Avelino held the mass. Alex's Room was in order and the kitchen had been cleaned up earlier. When the mass ended, Rev. Fr. Avelino blessed Alex and family members had been all very emotional. ![]() At Forest Park Memorial, my brother's family were all in tears and very emotional. In our hearts, it's hard to accept Alex is gone and this will be the last time we're going to look at her angelic face. ![]() More family members, friends, and relatives on both sides kept coming to pay last respect for Alex. Alexandra was buried at 10:30 am. I'd like to thank Randy for his generosity and full support to my family. Meanwhile, Randy had root implant and was unable to sleep until past 10 this evening Manila time due to severe pain. He's supposed to go to bed at 12 MN San Diego time (3 pm Manila time) but, he reamained awake until I had fallen asleep while chatting with him. Randy posted also some news from Save the Children. Please check them out!

Goodbye, AlexandraWednesday, September 27, 2006My 9 yr old niece, Alexandra, the only daughter of my brother Bhoie, passed away this afternoon at FEU Hospital due to Stage III Dengue. She was admitted yesterday afternoon and placed in ICU. Alex was born on February 21st 1997. I can hardly believe she's gone now. May she forgive me for not visiting her yesterday in the hospital and for not being able to talk to her before she died. Too bad they failed to save Alex! The hospital bill cost my brother over 100k. ![]() I urged the pious readers of this blog to please pray for the soul of my niece, Alex... Wherever you are, Alex, I hope your soul rest in peace.

Bowling with kidsSunday, September 03, 2006Mama, the kids and I attended the 5:00 o'clock mass. Fr. Rev. Bob Sabanal said the mass this afternoon. ![]() After the mass, we went bowling with some of my kids friends and we had dinner at KFC. Ate Neth and her son, Jessie, later joined us. We all had a great time.... Posted at 11:15 PMLion's Den 4 MatchSunday, August 06, 2006My son, Paul Denise, went to my brother's home last night to set up his game, Rose Online, on Egay's PC. Our PLDT myDSL connection had been unstable and my son was preparing since last month for today's pRose Online Clan (Player VS Player) Polaris Server's Lion's Den 4 Match. He's a member of LegendsII Clan. Unfortunately, my brother's Bayantel DSL went dead after probably 30 mins Paul Denise was online playing the game with me. It was too late for him to go home so he slept there overnight. Early in the morning, he called me from cyber cafe and I assured him that our internet connection had been stable since he left last night. Well, I lied, just to encourage him to go home. Then, he asked me to connect his pRose account while he's on his way home because the elimination round between clans has started. I told Randy that we have to give way to Denise to use my PC until he finished with the competition then, we closed all our programs. At 10:30 am, all players logged into Polaris - Channel 2 server and meet up at Junon Polis. When GM Lileth summoned the players at 12 noon, the unreliable PLDT myDSL connection dropped him and he was left behind! All of us were upset. Then I called PLDT 172 and told them how bad their timing was. Paul Denise rushed to his fellow LegendsII clan member's cyber cafe while I logged on his account when myDSL logged me back online then I told his clan to wait for him as he was on his way to cyber cafe to login from there. I run all my programs again and told Randy how upset my son from the "unlimited service" we're paying but we're actually given a dialup bandwidth speed. GM Lileth announced that summoned for the rest of the players was done and no one else will be able to join Lions Den 4 anymore. With that announcement, we're sad and worried for my son but, Junjun, told me later that Denise was able to get through. We excitedly followed the GM's announcement and I was grateful my son's clan won the first round against Phoenix, Demonz won in the second round against EvoExecutioner, and final round LegendsII won against Demonz with flying colors. The Polaris Clan Winner, LegendsII, will then have to fight against the Sirius Clan Winner on Wednesday, August 9th! When Denise came back from cyber cafe, he showed the recorded video of their game. Congratulations to the LegendsII clan! I gave him few minutes to relax and then I asked all kids to get ready for the afternoon mass. Randy remained online with us until we left home to hear the mass. Since there's 3-days on-going sale at SM North Edsa, traffic was congested that we arrived late at Our Lady of Parish Church. My kids, along with Pearl's two friends, attended the mass. Tintin stayed home due to influenza. Rev Fr. Rey Usmon said the mass and the gospel was Mark 9:2-10. Today's mass was about the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord. The first reading was Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14. The second reading was 2 Peter 1:16-19. When the mass ended, we're so hungry and feasted on Shakey's Pepperoni and Shakey's Special Pizzas, Chick-n-chips, and Mojos. After eating, Junjun, Pearl, and her friends went home ahead while I accompanied Denise for shopping and he bought some shirts. Kids made an agreement that whatever I spent for Denise, they will get the same shopping allowance. The SM Department Store was crowded and all what Denise bought were 3 pcs of round neck shirts while I bought 4 Sleeveless ones. I failed to use the PLDT Home Rewards Gift Certificate when I was paying at the Cashier Counter so I paid in cash instead. They advised me to exchange them for SM Gift Checks which I did at the Customer Service. Meanwhile, Randy and I were fortunate enough to recite the rosary in the evening before myDSL went dead again, so was our phone line. Tintin told me it had been like that since we left for the church. I'm just waiting for the right timing to submit a request to PLDT that I'd like to downgrade myDSL to dialup, since I had been getting a dialup speed at the price of myDSL plan. It's about time to give up hoping their service will still improve. Because of the inconveniences they're causing us, my son had to go elsewhere to log online while he has his own PC at home but we have unstable DSL service. It's kind of annoying Randy and I were unable to voice chat again when he came back from Sunday mass because our DSL connection went dead until I had fallen asleep waiting that our DSL will be restored.

Good bye, Eufrocina CuntapaySaturday, July 08, 2006My Aunt and cousin of my mother, Eufrocina Cuntapay, passed away yesterday due to High Blood. Everything happened so fast that the first attack killed her after few hours. Her remain was cremated this afternoon but, I was unable to attend due to tight schedule preparing the house for tomorrow's 2006 Family Reunion. I hope my Auntie Prucing will forgive me for that. When daughter heard that her favorite Nanay Prucing passed away, she wanted us to go but if I will go, nothing will be done for tomorow's family get-together. ![]() Auntie Prucing, may you rest in peace!

Superman ReturnsSunday, July 02, 2006Tomorrow will be Pearl's oral surgery schedule so we decided to relax this Sunday. Randy went to bed so I can prepare to go to the church but, I had fallen asleep while waiting for the kids to get ready. Daughter woke me up 10 minutes to five and I jumped out of bed. We arrived late again in Our Lady of Hope Parish. We seated in the mezzanine where humidity was higher but, that's where there's available seat for me and the kids. Rev. Fr. Gilbert Ilagan said the mass. Today was the 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time. The first reading was from Wisdom 1:13-15, 2:23-24. The second reading was from 2 Corinthians 8:7, 9, 13-15. And the Gospel was Mark 5:21-43. This is the second week I didn't receive the communion. After the church, we had a big dinner at Shakey's Pizza. Kids had fun joking about me and we really had a good time. Then we watched the movie, Superman Returns. The movie had been in the middle portion of the story when we entered inside the cinema. The scene was that the plane had been controlled by some kind of a missile attached above the plane. The sound effects were good but, 3D glasses were not available, similar to the ones in Asia Mall. Randy told me that Superman Returns was anti-American based on their local news but, I didn't see any scenes that will support it other than Superman was in the news all over the world, helping people in different places almost at the same time! When the movie has ended, we decided to go home instead of watching it again from the beginning. Junjun and Tintin left earlier because they received an urgent call from Tintin's brother who was beaten up by some nasty boys. Hopefully, watching the movie helps daughter forget for a while about her toothache problems. I was worried too about her oral surgery but, she has to do it once and for all.

The Holy TrinitySunday, June 11, 2006Since my internet was restored yesterday afternoon, I was happy to recite the rosary online with Randy this morning. Imagine, for two consecutive days, we recited the rosary using the chat for the mysteries to make sure we're doing the same prayer at the same time. In the afternoon, the kids, Tintin, and I were late again at 5:00 o'clock mass in Our Lady of Hope Parish. Today is the The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity and Rev Fr Jun Pascual Jr. said the mass. First Reading was Dt 4:32-34, 39-40; Second Reading was Rom 8:14-17; and the Gospel was Mt 28:16-20. Fr. Jun said that there is only one God in Three Divine Persons: God, the Father; God, the Son; and, God, the Holy Spirit. He even set us an example of a mango fruit: the mango skin, the fruit, and the seed are just parts of a mango itself, the way God is as The Most Holy Trinity. My children were reacting each time the priest mentioned something that hits any one of us that I had to remind them to be quiet as we're inside the church. But, deep in my heart, I was glad my children now enjoyed attending masses in spite of very humid temperature inside the church. The kids cancelled the bowling when they found out I must do the grocery shopping while they're playing. So, we had buffet dinner instead at Cabalen Restaurant in the second floor of SM North EDSA. While eating, mother informed me through a text message that she's at home waiting for us. On our way to get a cab, strong heavy downpour of rains with strong winds prevented us from leaving the mall. Instead of standing there waiting until the rain will stop, I did some quick grocery shopping. Paul Denise and Pearl went ahead to bring Mama's dinner. When Junjun, Tintin, and I were done shopping, the rain has finally stopped except that broken tree branches scattered on the side streets as if there was a typhoon that hits the city. At home, I was happy the DSL internet is running. Both Randy and I traded some blogs' shares while watching flickr' shares PE from deflating. Ron joined us later to do some ideas sharing... OOppssss! Today is my brother's birthday, Happy 41st birthday, Bhoie!

BowlingSunday, June 04, 2006Doing my morning routines with Randy had been easier and running smoothly since PLDT DSL has been restored. Passing on blogs' shares ownerships with my »-(¯`v* NEAT Strategies *v´¯)-» corporate members had been fun. It's nice to make profits without cheating and harming other's investments. With Randy around, there's never a dull moment but, he had to go to bed at past 1:00 in the morning (San Diego time) since the kids and I were getting ready for the 5:00 o'clock afternoon mass. At Lady of Hope Parish, we hurriedly took our seats because the mass had started. We're not lucky to sit in one row and I can barely see Rev. Fr. Alfredo A. Pascual Jr., who said the mass. Before our priest start his Homily, he greeted us all a Happy Birthday. He said that today was the Feast of the Pentecost and celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit. The Feast of Holy Pentecost is celebrated each year on the fiftieth day after the Great and Holy Feast of Pascha (Easter) and ten days after the Feast of the Ascension of Christ*. It was conincidence that Junjun and I wore red and so was the priest. The First Reading was Acts 2:1-11 and Second Reading was1 Cor 12:3b-7, 12-13. After the mass, the kids, Tintin, and I went straight to SM North Bowling Center. I was planning to play to get rid of my headache but I decided to watch our belongings because there were many people playing as well. This time, Pearl and Tintin teamed up against Junjun and Paul Denise. As usual, Pearl's team won but, I didn't award them any prize for the strikes they made. I got headache that I let them play one round and I told them to follow me at Pancake House. Pearl didn't like the food in Pancake House but, I insisted that Junjun should try also what Tintin used to order when we're eating out. Kids made their orders but were surprised that I asked for Clubhouse Sandwich, Potato Salad, and Beef Sabrina for myself. While waiting for the food to be served, Pearl noticed that majority of customers eating there were wearing red too. I just smiled and commented that they were probably celebrating their birthdays. And, with that statement, they greeted me a Happy Birthday in advanced. When the food was served, Tintin's Pork Vienna order wasn't included. After ten minutes, it was served but all of us were already full. Although the kids were not satisfied with the kind of food they served, we all had fun. When we're going out of the building, Pearl asked me why I didn't liked to play Bowling. I told her I forgot to trim my long nails...

Family DaySunday, May 21, 2006Early in the morning, the technician from PLDT arrived and I explained well to him how my agony started and showed him the DSL packet received and sent, he realized that the problem wasn't on my side but from their Data Center. He said they are going to call me once they brought back their regular DSL internet. When the kids were up, I had an accident when I was preparing breakfast for Mama and the kids. The harsh brown potatoes, hot dog, cheese omelette and ham were almost done when I accidentally burned myself. Due to shock, I threw the ham back to the pan and hot oil scattered around the burner caught fire until it reached to the pan. I calmly turned off the burner and washed my left arm with cold water. It hurts and I told Randy about it as I went back to our chat. Randy was not happy about what's going on with my internet. Our chat dropped each time someone called my kids. I had to reconnect the PLDT VIBE again and again just to run the programs Randy and I were using. He's upset we couldn't watch our favorite TV shows together and I couldn't buy all the shares from him. He logged out early to give way for me to get ready. Before the kids and I left for the Sunday mass, I created BLOGSHARES MISSION #871 - SHARES MARKET SABOTEURS. I will give 100 chips per entry for every one player's artefacts' transaction history they will submit and Randy will give ONE (1) BLOGSHARES PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP to the top submitter... click here to join! Then, we left to Our Lady of Hope Parish, to hear the 5:00 pm mass. The kids and I were fortunate to be seated in the last row near the church's entrance. Today is the 6th Sunday of Easter and the Guest Priest from Malaysia said the mass. The First Reading was Acts 10:25-26, 34-35, 44-48, the Second Reading was 1 Jn 4:7-10 and the Gospel, Jn 15:9-17, Jesus said to his disciples: "As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love..." In my heart, I was happy seeing my children attending Sunday mass with me. And, I wished that Randy's with us praying the Our Father. As the mass ended, we went straight to SM Bowling Center but, the kids decided to eat our dinner at Super Bowl of China where we had Fried Crispy Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Sliced Beef with Broccoli, Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet, Birthday Noodles, and 3 orders of Super Bowl Fried Rice. They served their dishes so yummy that we emptied all plates. We're too full to play Bowling so we cancelled it off our schedule. All we wanted was to go home and rest. At home, the DSL internet upsets me again. I had to use PLDT VIBE dialup internet to chat with Randy before he left to work. There were some entries submitted in my mission but, I couldn't verify them yet because I had very, very, very poor internet speed.

Mother's DaySunday, May 14, 2006Although I received couple of greetings from my sibling and started the morning by reciting the rosary with Randy, I still had a bad morning. I found out from Nasser that the EX let him read the document the EX's lawyer will submit on the 27th of July. My temper rises when I found out the respondent's lawyer will also push for annulment on our meeting, the Trial Conference. I'm afraid the case I filed in court will be dismissed in case EX made stupid things like favoring for the nullity of the falsified marriage. If they are not contesting, why they kept responding to court invitations? I yelled at my brother to stop talking about me and the case. I just wish my brother will not sell me on this one... Anyway, after Randy and I logged out at 3 pm, we got ready for the church. The kids, Mama, Tintin, and I sitted on the fifth row seat. We do not have afternoon mass in the nearby chapel so we went to Our Lady of Hope Parish, near SM North Edsa. Fr. Emmanuel Bollari said the mass. The homily was about God, being the vine, and the faithful as the branches. There were times we have to trim off the bad branches and prune the good ones so it will bear better fruit. I was delighted seeing my children attending mass with me. After the mass, we had dinner at Pizza Hut. We had fun even though Mama's sandal had broken strap, similar to what happened with mine last week. She got a new pair of sandals before we left the mall. Anyway, siblings, close friends, and high school mates exchanged Mother's Day greetings with me while Mama got an eCard from Randy. Vera, my best friend, greeted me being the strongest mother in this world!

MIssed Sunday MassSunday, April 02, 2006Mother had been waking me up for couple of times but, I was too sleepy to get up. Kids had been coming in and out of my room, using my PC, while I was sleeping. Sad to say, I missed hearing today's mass (Fifth Sunday of Lent). Randy promised to blog about it so that I will have an idea about this Sunday's homily. I'd wished to attend the afternoon mass but, Randy and I watched a comedy movie, 8 Heads In A Duffel Bag (Starring: Kristy Swanson, David Spade, Joe Pesci, George Hamilton, Andy Comeau, Dyan Cannon), until 5 p.m. when my PLDT-DSL connection was restored. In spite of 7,401 miles distance, both Randy and I often watch our favorite TV shows using Yahoo webcam connections. Have you ever tried that yourself? Anyway, mother left to Ate Neth's house early today. She used to spend the weekend with us. Since I cannot attend the mass alone, I asked Pearl to accompany me instead but, the quick shower and preparations made her available at past 6 pm. We're late then to hear the evening mass... First CommunionSunday, March 26, 2006I had a wonderful sleep, woke up on time and attended Sunday mass with mother. We're slow going down the stairs due to my knee injury. Everyone's ready for the mass when we arrived but, I lighted three candles first before taking my seat. Today is the 4th Sunday of Lent and FR. Rocco Viviano said the mass again in Tagalog using Sambuhay's missalette: Tagumpay Niya mula sa Krus. Gladly, I received my first communion (this year) after I had my confession last Sunday. Today's LITURGY OF THE WORD (pasensya na at wala akong english copy):
3rd Sunday of LentSunday, March 19, 2006Even though I woke up at 6 a.m. this morning, mother and I were late for Sunday mass. The chapel was already full and we had our seat near the entrance. Today is the 3rd Sunday of Lent amd FR. Rocco Viviano said the mass again in Tagalog using Sambuhay's missalette: Tanda ng Kapangyarihan ng Diyos. Fr. Viviano said that this Lenten season, we should reflect on God's existence by honoring and accepting God's words. God provided us all what we need yet, we never feel contented and in fact, have taken all things for granted. I had a confession right after the mass. My last confession was in 2003! Today's LITURGY OF THE WORD (pasensya na at wala akong english copy):
ACT OF CONTRITION: O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven, and the pains of hell; but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. ACT OF PENANCE: Fr. Viviano asked me to recite one (1) Our Father and to offer 10 mins. of silence everyday while listening to God's message. Since I recite the rosary first thing in the morning (everyday), I had thought I will do it right after my morning prayer. I was wondering whether you are ready to reflect on God's existence? Please try to accept God's love by opening your heart, too! Guess what, next Sunday, I am ready for communion. 2nd Sunday of LentSunday, March 12, 2006Mother took about 30 mins. waking me up before I finally get up. Although I didn't sleep enough, I had deep and wonderful sleep because my children are all staying with me again. As we hurriedly went downstairs to a nearby chapel, I was surprised the place was a bit crowded this morning and some people occupied already the fourth row of seat where we used to take our seat for the past couple of weeks now. I lighted three candles and whispered some prayers... Today is the 2nd Sunday of Lent. FR. Rocco Viviano, an Italian Xaverian priest, who seemed to be our regular priest for the past three weeks. He said the mass again in Tagalog using Sambuhay's missalette: Ito ang Minamahal Kong Anak. Fr. Viviano mentioned about transfiguration, the purpose of our journey in this world, and the importance of the Lenten season in our Christian lives. Speaking of Sambuhay missalette, I was upset that St. Pauls website (Philippine-Macau Province) with a heading description of "Our Commitment is Integral Evangelization" restricted Sambuhay's English and Tagalog versions with login name and passwords before anyone can access their online Sambuhay missalette guide. Is the life really hard these days that we have to pay to access the words of God? In that case, why put commitment in integral evangelization on their front page if only those who can pay can access the missalette? While Randy provided me some links to support the reference links of the Liturgy of the Word last Sunday, I still believe that I should use the Sambuhay's missalette guide links since those were the ones being used by our local churches here. Even if I will subscribe to their yearly subscriptions, the regular readers of my blog won't be able to open the links either... The one I have is in Tagalog. Today's LITURGY OF THE WORD:
Ist Sunday of LentSunday, March 05, 2006In spite of going to bed late last night, I woke up at five and took a shower. We arrived in the Sto. Niño Chapel just on time and I lighted three candles just before the mass started. Today is the 1st Sunday of Lent. FR. Rocco Viviano, an Italian Xaverian priest, said the mass again in Tagalog using Sambuhay's missalette: Kaayusan at Biyaya sa Gitna ng Kalituhan at Kaguluhan. "What we do during this Lenten season, essential to Lent is our resolve to begin anew to realize that we are people of the New and Everlasting Covenant in Christ's Blood."* Today's LITURGY OF THE WORD:
ON FAST AND ABSTINENCE A Sympathy CandleSaturday, February 25, 2006As landslides rescuers stopped their retrieval operations in Southern Leyte... with my deepest and sincerest prayers to the victims of landslides, may their souls rest in peace. My condolence and sympathy to the survivors of this tragic incident. ![]() Click here to light one! For question regarding the situations of your families in St. Bernard, Southern Leyte, please contact Philippine National Red Cross, Social Services and Tracing: 63 (02) 5270867; 5270000 local 126 / 127 May God bless us all and save the Philippines! With A Little Help From Our FriendsSunday, February 19, 2006Mother and I arrived again early this morning to hear the only Sunday mass in the chapel near where we live. I lighted 3 candles and offered sincere prayers for the souls of all victims from the recent Sourthern Leyte landslides and also, for the faster recovery of all survivors. I had two personal intentions which I rather keep between God and myself. Today is the seventh Sunday in ordinary time and today's homily is about A Little Help From Our Friends. An Italian Xaverian priest, FR. Rocco Viviano, said again the mass using Tagalog missalette: Kaunting Tulong Mula Sa Mga Kaibigan. He explained three important ideas today: God, Community, and our Duties & Responsibilities as followers of God. He said God can heal us but we need community's assistance to bring us closer to God and once we are healed and stronger to help others, we should encourage those weak to have faith in God and also be healed. Today's LITURGY OF THE WORD:
Forgiving and CompassionateSunday, February 12, 2006Mother and I arrived 10 minutes earlier in Sto. Niño Chapel and I was able to light 3 candles and prayed. Today is the sixth Sunday in ordinary time and today's homily is about God, who is forgiving and compassionate. FR. Rocco Viviano, an Italian Xaverian priest, said the mass in Tagalog using Sambuhay's missalette: Mapagpatawad at Maawain Ang Diyos (God is forgiving and compassionate). Today's LITURGY OF THE WORD:
When we arrived home, I recited the rosary before doing other tasks. I have many things to thank God for, and one of them is my potential soulmate's existence in our lives. He's very ideal and perfect based on my standard. Resting In The FatherSunday, February 05, 2006Mother and I arrived early this morning to hear the mass.. I lighted 3 candles: 2 candles to thank God and one candle to strengthen me in handling the three cases at the same time. Today is the fifth Sunday in ordinary time and today's homily is about Resting In The Father. Another Italian Xaverian priest said the mass in Tagalog using Sambuhay's missalette: Kapanatagan sa Piling ng Ama (Resting In The Father). Today's LITURGY OF THE WORD:
I was in a hurry to go online today and I forgot to recite the rosary... Posted at 11:04 PM Comments (0) TrackBackGod's Word & National RenewalSunday, January 29, 2006Mother and I arrived few minutes late for the one and only 7 a.m. Sunday mass held in Sto. Niño Chapel near where we live. Today is the fourth Sunday in ordinary time and today's homily is about Who is God and who are the Christians, in celebration of the Bible Week. FR. Rocco Viviano, an Italian Xaverian priest, said the mass in Tagalog using Sambuhay's missalette: Ang Salita Ng Diyos at Pambansang Pagbabago (God's Word and National Renewal). FR. Viviano explained the two structures of the Holy Mass: the Liturgy of the Word (Scripture readings) and Liturgy of the Eucharist (begins when bread and wine are brought to the altar), and how God communicates to us. The regular Holy Mass has the following structure:
Today's LITURGY OF THE WORD:
I lighted 3 candles again today. And, I thanked those who prayed for my youngest sister, Beh, who left on Monday for employment abroad. Bible WeekSunday, January 22, 2006I woke up as early as 5:30 a.m. this time when Paul Denise shuts down modem in my room. Mother and I then attended the 7 a.m. mass in Sto. Niño Chapel. Today is the third Sunday in ordinary time and today's homily is about The Bible and Jesus: Ignorance of the Bible is ignorance about Jesus. The mass was held by Fr. Romulo Bueno in Tagalog using Sambuhay's missalette: Ang Daan Sa Gawain ng Diyos (A Pedagogy on God's Work). National Bible Week is on January 23-29, 2006: Power for National Renewal. Today's LITURGY OF THE WORD:
I lighted 3 candles again but this time, I brought my own candles: One is for faster confirmation of my sister's flight abroad for employment purposes; second was for the welfare of my family and third, for the swift success of my 'divorce'. Sto. NiñoSunday, January 15, 2006Mother and I woke up as early as 6 a.m. and we attended the 7 a.m. mass in a nearby church. Today is the second Sunday in ordinary time and today's homily is about Sto. Niño. The mass was in Tagalog but Sambuhay (mass guide) has English version also. The Filipinos' veneration of the Child Jesus, the Sto. Niño, may be seen from the joyous celebration of Sinulog, Dinagyang, Ati-atihan, and other colorful festivals* in the Philippines. Today's LITURGY OF THE WORD:
I lighted 3 candles today: One is for faster recovery of Randy's friend, Emilio Valdez and his child; second was for the welfare of my family and third, for my sister, Beh, who is in a big financial crisis right now. Breast CancerTuesday, April 26, 2005I was saddened by Randy's news yesterday about his wife, Rose, who was diagnosed of breast and skin cancers after series of tests were conducted on her. It is harder to accept that a loved one gets cancer. I was pondering on Rose's situation. What if it happened to me? What would I do? I couldn't help but offer Randy and his family some prayers and I lighted 3 candles and prayed the rosary for Rose and Ate Neth's wellness. My sister is currently in China for business but, I was told by her son yesterday that she's sick and not feeling well since she arrived there. Anyway, Randy and his family will always be in my prayers. Miracles do happen to those who believe and I wish her doctors made a mistake with their findings. May the Almighty God miraculously heal her. Funeral RitesFriday, April 08, 2005
May the Angels lead you into paradise, Pope John Paul II. Goodbye, Pope John Paul IIWednesday, April 06, 2005I'd like to say goodbye to His Holiness Pope John Paul II, known also as Karol Józef Wojtyla, 84. Billions of people mourned over his death but, believe it or not, I prayed that may his sufferings be shortened and let him rest in peace. Whatever his absence can do to our lives, it's sad to see good people leave us. Now that he's with our Creator, I want to say once again through this blog, goodbye dear Pope John Paul II, may you rest in peace. Meanwhile, who's with Arroyo as she leaves tonight for Vatican? Killer TsunamiMonday, January 10, 2005![]() Will the same fate happen to us in the Philippines? On my father's birthday last September 26, 2004, he warned all of us to stock some bottled water and canned goods just in case a strong earthquake will hit the country before the end of December 2004. After 12 days, we had a 6.5 magnitude earthquake which I mentioned in my October 8, 2004 article. When tsunami hits 12 countries, I couldn't blog anything about it. I was scared similar incident will happen in the Philippines soon based on my father's warning to us. Everyday, I was praying for those people who recently died, maybe some of them didn't know yet they were dead. May those survivors who had lost their properties and loved ones will get help and recover soon. Rebuilding takes time yet, life goes on although I doubted whether it will be the same again. It is somehow unfortunate that others took advantage of the situation instead of extending help themselves to victims of tsunami: The FBI alerted the public to a variety of online scams asking users to send money for the victims of the recent tsunami disaster. Please visit Tsunami Missing Persons HQ at http://www.sneaknews.com/, a site created by a fellow Filipino, Benjamin Agravante Jr., a 25-year-old native of Legazpi City, Albay vacationing in Amsterdam. Meanwhile, the lives of those families in Real, Quezon province, who were badly hit by strong typhoons are not back to normal yet. There's so many things to be done. Majority of houses and school buildings were almost destroyed and/ or buried in soil when logs carried by flash floods hit houses and livestocks. Graduating students were helpless but, they all wishing to go back to school soon so that they can graduate this year. Goodbye, FPJWednesday, December 15, 2004![]() The King of Philippine Movies, Fernando Poe, Jr. a.k.a. FPJ (Ronald Allan Kelley Poe in real life), 65, died in coma yesterday. We're mourning both his death and the loss of our chance to replace the sitting president, PGMA, should FPJ's electoral protest be proven that he's the rightful winner in the recently held May 2004 RP Presidential Election. Thousands of people from all walks of life gathered at his wake to see him for the last time, recite prayers and symphatized with his devoted wife, Susan Roces. Goodbye, FPJ, may your soul rests in peace. Heavy Monsoon RainsThursday, August 26, 2004Kids had no school since yesterday due to heavy monsoon rains. Many areas in Metro Manila were flooded and suspension of classes was announced immediately long before my children leave the house. I was feeling so sad for those families who had lost their family members, belongings, and properties to flashfloods and landslides. Life, sometimes, is cruel to those unfortunate victims of neglect and corruption. Although the kids and I are safe, may God bless and have mercy on us all... A DreamFriday, August 13, 2004Yesterday morning, when I woke up for the second time, I had a dream which disturbed me for the whole day. The dream feels so real I could hardly believe it was just a dream. I saw in my dream the Salvacion Family! Since I was busy in the bank yesterday afternoon, I had no opportunity to make some calls. Paul Denise and I were back at six. When I was about to send them a text message, I called them first even it was late in the evening hoping they're home at that time, but, the Salvacion couple were in the hospital! Raffee, one of their triplets, had raptured appendicitis! After the phone conversation with Inday, I sent my text message to Brother Rommel. At past two in the morning, I received a text message from Brother Rommel twice and he asked me to attend a mass healing in Don Bosco at 7 p.m this evening. I replied that I couldn't make it but will pray for Raffee's safety and fast recovery from the operation which I did twice: I prayed last night for Raffee's welfare and also this morning, when I recited the rosary. When I called again this morning, before taking my first coffee, I have learned from Inday that Raffee was under operation during the time I was talking to her on the phone last night. By then I realized my dream was some kind of a message that I should get in touch with the Salvacion couple. Vera told me this afternoon on our telephone conversation that Brother Rommel was even featured in Mel and Jay Talk Show aired on GMA7 along with wise people. Brother Rommel does couselling for free and never accepts cash from disturbed people, whether emotionally or spiritually. I designed their Sinauna Crafts Antique Furniture website few years ago. Iraq's Political StatementFriday, July 09, 2004I missed the news yesterday because we had no cable reception due to sudden heavy downpour of rains on Thursday afternoon. Otherwise, if I heard Angelo dela Cruz's fate in Iraq since last night, I have included him in my prayer this morning. The Philippine government had difficulty yesterday knowing who was Angelo dela Cruz's family here in Manila because according to Dept. of Foreign Affairs, there were about 36 Angelo dela Cruz who were issued with Philippine passports. Upon knowing Angelo's middle name, the media people communicated immediately with his family in Pampanga.
Now that Filipino workers are barred from going to Iraq, the Iraqis have issued their political statement and the Arroyo government should pull-out all Filipino peacecorps and workers to avoid further death toll. Sites about Angelo dela Cruz capture:

A 17th Century Nun's PrayerMonday, April 05, 2004I found this in my inbox, originally posted by fellow Famous Quotes Yahoo! Groups member, WindsongNF2003, Digest Number 1205, and I'd thought to share this to all my blog readers...
Longest Days and NightsThursday, March 18, 2004My elder sister, Ate Neth, told me that the next hearing of Leila (in Hong Kong) will be on April 30, 2004! Shocked with the news, I remembered her three boys waiting for her at their home. Two of her boys will graduate next week from Kinder and Elementary School. Unfortunately, she would not be around on their Graduation Day. Although she was found NOT GUILTY by Hong Kong authorities, we do not understand why they do not pardon her for tampering entries on her passport and she has to spend one more month. She does not have any plans at all to stay in Hong Kong that long. I could imagined the reflection Leila is experiencing right now. She's quite a busy and occupied person and to be stagnant in one place without her beloved kids was such a boring, probably the longest days and nights in her life... What she's been going through is some kind of test on her faith... wish she will hold on to God. Her children badly need her... Christmas Vacation Is ONTuesday, December 23, 2003It's now Christmas vacation for millions of students here in the Philippines YET it will be a sad Christmas for thousands of families in Leyte, mourning for the loss of their loved ones, livestocks, and properties. Nature tolled once again after the recent Cherry Hill tragedy, it's another wake up call for more attention from the government at the expense of precious lives of the people of Leyte. It's very painful that in this Holiday Season, instead of rejoicing, survivors are in pain, suffering, homeless and mourning. ![]() Hardest-hit village may be turned into cemetery The damage has been done. Everyone is finger-pointing again who's responsible. Yet, the situattion needs long-term ecological solution. Something must be done, otherwise, their fate might happen to us as well. With Deepest Sympathy and PrayersMonday, December 15, 2003With Deepest Sympathy and Prayers to the bereaved family, relatives and friends of BLAS FAJARDO OPLE who died of a heart attack in Taipei yesterday morning, December 14, 2003, while en route to Bahrain for the state visit of PGMA.KA BLAS, 76, was the Secretary of Foreign Affairs; former Senate President; former member, 1987 Constitutional Commission; President, 60th International Labor Organization Conference; former Secretary of Labor; Writer; Newspaperman; and the World War II Veteran.
