I am doing this for B$500

just got signed up with
blogshare, via
dissident1. anyways,
here's the review:
Review for http://www.ladylaila.net/blog/
overall,
the blog is simple and to the point. Its clear as to what the
blogger
wants to post - view layout
is easy to read and source code is neat. The clock on the blog
is a little irritating because it serves as a
distraction when people are reading the blog. What is worth
doing when
visiting this blog is to just sit back and enjoy it. The blog is about
someone's "life journey" and thus should be taken in perspective.
Intersting to see also how people design their blogs and what features
they offer. For example, its useful to add some info about the country
that you are from and about yourself in the form of links at the
bottom. This blog should
deserve the following ratings:
(all are /10)
Design: 6.3
Content:8.6
layout:7.5
overall:7.3
Suggestions
for a better design/layout : The blog content should have been
put into
an iframe. This way people scroll and see your posts, but at the
same
time still see your links, search bar etc.
The links right at the
bottom of yourself should be put into the side, so as to gain a little
more publicity. This is to facillitate people when they only
read the
most recent entry - they still can access the links easily without
having to scroll all the way down.

A Journey Through Life -
Review Mission
Blog Review: A
Journey Through Life
I
told you about BlogShares and how excited i was to be part of it. Well,
this is a mission to earn me more B$... the total prize is B$1
Trillion, with a consolation prize of B$500 Billion per entry.
Anyway,
the blog im reviewing is authored by Laila*, a top player in BlogShares
(she gave 5000 chips to help me start!!). I will review the blog in two
parts:
Blog Layout
The
first thing that came to my mind when i opened the blog in my browser
is Pink. and i dont like Pink as a colour. im a pinkphobia. however,
the neat arrangements of all little things that were placed on the
right-side bar impressed me. they negate my unfavorable first
impression on the blog's colour. under Laila's photo, there are icons
representing chat clients and various ways you can get in contact with
her. an internet-savvy lady is the thought that crossed my mind.
so all
her friends, you have no excuse to not contact her :P
the layout
of individual posts are of typical blogs' entries. they are
neat, with
butterfly attached on every single post's title. The font used creates
an easy read for visitors, with occasional but proper use of text
bolding.
My take on Blog Layout: 3 Stars
(out of 5)
Content
The
content is the one that blew me. Laila wrote practically everything
under the sun - from BlogShares, Movies, Technology, Gadgets, Politics,
Community.
Her aspiration to one day become President of the
Phillipines is not far-fetched. After all, the Phillipines has produced
many strong female presidents before. The only thing is, she probably
have to either: (1) become an actresss or (2) marry her way into the
president's clans family. Both are achievable.
Various links
were provided especially a stand-alone page dedicated to her country.
CIA Fact Book or Wikipedia will not match the links provided in this
page. If you want to know anything about the country, i highly
recommend it!
She champions Sponsor-a-child donation through her
involvement in BlogShares, underscoring her sense of responsibility to
those around her.
The list of birthday reminders is awesome.
it would be good though if she could provide a link to those in the
list who owned a blog (which would be hard coz she used birthday alarm
to generate the list).
My take on Content: 5 stars
(out of 5) -- very pleasant read.
Overall
Changing
the colour from pink to a more neutral colour might create better
impression on pinkphobia species like me :P While it underlines
her
status as a woman, her beautiful picture already projects that.
I
recommend this blog for anyone who want to have interesting read of a
very interesting woman and the world around her. Hopefully, one day, we
can provide the support in her bid to the presidency :P
Blog's Overall: 4.5 stars (out
of 5)

Mission
- Laila's blog at time jiggles when using
mouse over links
- I find the static image (i.e. the flowers)
to decrease the
readability of the posts without having to scroll up and down for
particular paragraphs
- Whilst Laila's blog isn't one that I would

This post is a review of a Laila's
Weblog - A Journey Through Life in order to either win Chips or
gain BS$.
Laila's blog
is, as she says,
"...about her journey through life
fulfilling unfinished business and promises, searching for the missing
pieces that will soon complete her existence...". Laila's blog takes us
through many of her life experiences (e.g. most recently the health of
her brother) as well as provides us with some of the activities she
gets up to online (e.g. BlogShares).
Laila has used her skills on BlogShares
to make real dollars in order to help fund medical treatment for her
brother, Nasser.
As a user of FireFox,
Laila's blog at time
jiggles when using mouse over links (e.g. Monthly
Archives to the right of her blog posts. This is most disconcerting
whilst trying to read the blog but it doesn't - at least for me - when
I power up IE (which I am loathe to do).
I find the static image (i.e. the
flowers) to decrease the
readability of the posts without having to scroll up and down for
particular paragraphs. A lighter static image could help with
this
difficulty.
The boxes that
appear on
mouse-over are easy to read in FireFox
but difficult in IE: a good example of the various implementations of
CSS across platforms.
Whilst
Laila's blog isn't one that I would read daily I'll certainly put it on
my monthly list - just to follow Nasser's health.

BlogShares Mission
#85 – Blog and review: A Journey Through Life
Although
I was lured in to reviewing the above mentioned blog just because of
the attractive BlogShares prizes offered by the author, who also
happens to be the top player in BlogShares, when I opened the blog, I
was genuinely impressed with the neat & orderly fashion the blog
was set-out. A well organised blog really stands out at the first
glance. The tropical flowery background image gives a good character to
the blog, beautifully accentuating the pink background, the maroon
font, the butterfly-bullets and perhaps even the femininity of the
author. However, if a viewer has a huge monitor or is on higher screen
resolution mode, then this background image looks like its hanging
right in the middle and kinda looks odd. Its also a bit of a nuisance
if you are trying to glance over the text, but nonetheless, the posts
are still very readable.
First impressions aside, I think this blog
has a lot of things to do or look around or even learn from for that
matter, be it for total strangers on the net or for friends &
family of the author. For strangers the blog gives a good insight
about
the author and her life, who kinda comes across to me as a very deep,
if not philosophical person; and for friends & family, an update on
her life and events. Also, I think theres more info about the
author’s
home country – Philippines in the blog, than you can ever find on
Wikipedia.com!!!
Well, I’m a budding BlogShares player and
‘ve just started a blog myself, but I got to confess that being a
Politics student, I’m not all that computer savvy... at least not yet,
nonetheless, although I’m a novice in html & javascript, viewing this blog’s page source was
quite astounding!!! I’ve definitely got a lot to learn from this blog although it has a
bit too much of javascript for my liking.
Anyway... here’s my 2 cents worth:
Positives---
- The intricate
layout, esp. the sidebar
- Content
- Birthday
Reminders!!! (I reckon that’s a really cool idea!)
Negatives---
- The hanging flowery
background image
- Too much of
javascript slows down the loading of the page, esp. if on dial-up
- The blog is best
viewed with IE… and not Mozilla Firefox!
Overall... definitely a 9 on 10 from me!
(psst...
I liked the idea of the "Guests online" webapp from nerdsonsite.com so
much that I incorporated it into my blog as well!!!)

The

mission for a
lot of blogshares $s!!
A
review of a Blog called “A
Journey through Life”
hosted by Laila.
First
Impression was
that of a very feminine and
well thought out site. The design is in the
process of being revamped via this blogshares mission which could be a
good thing as the floating
text is not one of my favourite effects on
websites as I find it hard to concentrate when trying to read
the text. Navigating the
site and
archives is easy and the numerous links are
unobtrusive but nonetheless accessible. I do look forward to
visiting
the blog once again after the new design has been put in place.
Content
Is
varied from personal and family information to politics and global
issues. Well put crafted and intelligent the words are those of
a
humanitarian spreading a message of peace to all who read. For me in
the UK I found the insight into the life of another being in another
culture to be both fascinating and enlightening and I would highly
recommend visiting more than just once if only for the up to date
information on current and global affairs!
Overall
“A Journey Through Life”
by Laila is a top notch blog and as I said before, I have no hesitation
whatsoever in recommending to all who visit this humble blog!!
Well Done Laila!!! |

For Laila - A Review of A Journey Through Life
- The flowers
sit beneath the
text, making it
a little hard to read
- A quick fix
for the static
background would be to set up
four nested divs, each with a different floral pattern in a different
corner
- Blending your portrait with pink edges was
a
great idea.
- Here are some suggestions:
- Add a second,
non-scrolling sidebar for things you want always displayed
- I like that you
have a lot of ways to navigate your site (Calendar, Archives,
Categories) but they don't need to be visible all of the time. Collapse
them...
- Change the sidebar title "Life's
Journeys" to
"Categories" or something
descriptive to help your readers.
- Use 80x15 link images whenever they are
available.
- I can't
really make use of
your mouseover popups in IE. They appear too
transparent and possibly behind the main text so I can't read them

Favor for Laila*
A review of A
Journey Through Life
(viewed with MS IE)
Laila,
I'll
just cover the layout and mechanics, not the content; your spelling and
grammar are quite readable and I wouldn't dream of telling you how to
write about your life!
The first idea I got when I your page
loaded: pretty colors and a delicate scheme. But as soon as I touched
my scroll wheel I cringed! The
flowers sit beneath the text, making it
a little hard to read, and because my browser window is large,
the text
is allowed to flow vertically past the background image, which doesn't
feel right. A quick fix for
the static background would be to set up
four nested divs, each with a different floral pattern in a different
corner. This would give your page a nice floral vignette that
resized
for any window.
Blending your portrait
with pink edges was a
great idea. It makes a very soft image. I would like to see that
picture hold a position on the page instead of scroll up with the main
column. To make the picture even better, hang a white or pink or floral
sheet behind yourself and take the picture again. While you're at it,
put some flowers in your hair and smile, too!
You have one of
the tallest sidebars I have ever seen. It is so tall that I initially
didn't think I could navigate with it. I got distracted before I
figured out what everything was and had to come back the next day to
study it out! Here are some
suggestions:
- You aren't
utilizing the full width of your background. Add a second,
non-scrolling sidebar for things you want always displayed, such
as
your pic, your ultra-compact contact links (very smart!), your
syndication links, copyright and search box.
- I
like that you
have a lot of ways to navigate your site (Calendar, Archives,
Categories) but they don't need to be visible all of the time. Collapse
them so that the reader can expand them with a click. Feel free
to yank
code from my site. It's not perfect but it works in both IE and Firefox.
- I
didn't know until my fourth visit that you had categorized posts! Change the sidebar
title "Life's Journeys" to "Categories" or something
descriptive to help your readers.
- Use
80x15 link
images whenever they are available. They're cute and they
lend
uniformity to your blog where plain text cannot.
These are just a few ways to make a large amount of information more
accessible and less daunting.
Finally, I can't really make
use
of your mouseover popups in IE. They appear too
transparent and possibly behind the main text so I can't read them.
While it's a nice idea, the code could be cleaned up so it works on
several platforms.
And now, I have a question for you: What's a smart way to invest
B$1,000,000,000,000?
Best,
Andy

Laila's Weblog - A
Journey Through Life
Blog Review
I'm
going to start reviewing blogs that I come across in my daily
networking activities. This is one I came across several weeks ago,
when the owner gifted me a sum of money in an online internet
stockmarket. It's fake money, of course, but the gesture was kind.
Site Name: Laila's Weblog - A Journey Through Life
Category: Personal/Journal
Syndication: Yes -- ATOM, XML, RSD XML, RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0
Location: Philippines
Comments: Yes
Google Page Rank: 4/10
Alexa: 468,334

The
site is one of the most connected I have ever seen, with syndication
links and links to other sites stacked neatly on the right side.
The
site works for her, and seems to be a tidy reflection of her
personality. The site is well organized and cleanly separated. It has a
lot of the common bells and whistles seen on some blogs, but she has
handled them most professionally which makes surfing her entries much
more enjoyable. Many blogs are chaotic with toys and advertisements
that scream "I'm legitimate...honest" when in fact they do nothing to
enhance the users experience. Laila's site incorporates these
intelligently, and they are not in your face.
The content of the
site is personal, dealing mostly with family matters and daily on going
activities. She posts frequently and on a variety of subjects
which I
wish were organized into topics. This is a mammoth task, however, and
the bold subject headings at the top of each blog are enough to peak
interest. The archives
section is a little intense, and somewhat
overwhelming. This could be alleviated by a topical index,
instead of
dates which are quite useless to the blog surfer. She appears to have a
knowledge of programming, so I don't think that it's too much to ask.
The
site does have advertisements, but they are topically related and not
hosted at the top of the page. This is great as they fit in
nicely to
the overall look and feel of the site. Additionally, I applaud her for
linking to sites that provide services that she uses on a regular basis.
I
like this site, and I am interested in the growing interest in people
publishing their personal lives and acquiring a readership. With a page
rank 4, Laila is surely getting some great traffic. I wish it provided
some news relevant to her location. Perhaps a news section that posted
links to Philippine news stories for those of us that might be
interested, but just need a little direction.

- The Blog is a central part of Lady Laila’s
life, and a very
essential part of her daily life.
- The look and feel of the blog
- the
floral design could go easy on some of the darker colors used
- the archive links are organized easy
|
Lady Laila started
blogging on Saturday,
April 26, 2003;
little did she realize what she was getting into.
Lady Laila joined blogshare on 24th Jul 2004. Little did she know where
she was going to be.
September
30, 2004, Lady Laila's blog was nominated as Philippine Blog entry into
the Annual Philippine Blog Awards and the blog made it to the
Semi-Finals.
The first feel of the blog, was like standing on
the edge of an abyss; you know the feeling one gets when one is about
to loose one’s balance? You see everything that is happening to her,
you get to see how her mind works.
I am looking into the soul of another human, no filters no masks.
The Blog is a central
part of Lady Laila’s life, and a very essential part of her daily life.
The look and feel of
the blog:
-
the background though essentially an yin and yang arrangement of the
floral design could go easy on some of the darker colors used
- the archive links are
organized easy
- all that, which has played an important part in Lady Laila’s life
have been organized into the “Life’s Journey”
And hey she is doing good, making real money out of a game and using it
to help real world people. Kudos to her.
An very interesting use of “THE GAME”.

Liala's Weblog: "A Journey Through Life"

Liala's from Manila, Philippines, and this is my review of her
wonderful blog.
" A
Journey Through Life"
her description :
A
lifelog of a well-travelled single parent who had a life extension in
2000, blogs indiscriminately about her journey through life fulfilling
unfinished business and promises, searching for the missing pieces that
will soon complete her existence...
Very indeed, a interesting blog my friends.
I happened to come across this blog, and find it very interesting to
read, she is from the Philippines, Manila. From what I read from the
very beginning in 2003, she is a single parent, with three lovely kids.
Of course, from what gather, she
wedded at a young age of 18, and was a
single parent at 24.
Now from what I read, she isn't 24
still, but a mother, single parent possibly still, and maybe in her late
30ies. I could be wrong on the age, but it doesn't matter, she still
has children, and talks of them in her blog in her daily life living
and the turmoils, the birthdays, the christmas's, and fun,
laughter....Its a weblog, a diary, a nice read!~ :)
Very
beautiful picture of her. A wonderful parent to her kids, and a
wonderful journalist/reporter/writer of her work in her blog, plus the
exploring the world and talking about it in her blog as she knows it
from her blessed heart.
Besides gaining insight and
wisdom from
what she runs into each day, and learning from her
mistakes, adventures, people, and new lessons of life. Being a
single
parent with three children is a master task achievement itself, and
devotion of love and care is what she does, day by day, as Im still
reviewing her stories, and overreading some articles Im in 2003,and
2004 years.
I am happily to add it to my blog roll in my Life & Health Blog.
Liala to me is a very fascinating person. Determined strength to care
for her children and watch them grow in that country from what I know
it as a Island in the far East , the Philippines. The smell of coconuts
trees, is what I remember of the Philippines, I loved the place. As
some of you know, I was in the service, and been there in Manila and
Ologapo City< I think I spelled it wrong, anyways at least 15 times
each back in the 1980's. Magel beer, fried pork on a stick that was
barbeque tasty, and the food of ham and rice that this one resturant I
went to, they cooked in in the ground was really enjoyable. I rode in
them taxi's there on a motorcycle.
All this was very
rememberable, and the taxi's as we call them here in the USA is a
different name there of course, I could look it up, but it might come
back to my mind. There's alot to read of her blog and stories to enjoy
as she talks about her reviews as well on servers and messengers that
she uses and points out her opinions as well.
I found her
blog in blogshares. Its a fantasy market of buying, selling
shares, ideas, bonds. Its very much fun, as I only been in it for a few
months. People, its well worth to check out her blog, and her
read, stories, of her life as a single parent. The layout of her blog is
very nice, a nice rose color layout of her archives is growing,
photo's
are great, and she talks of the countries(philippines) soaps, and tv
shows, to the news there of whats going on, and the world news and
daily life there as she knows it,see's it, and hears about it in her
opinion.
I really like her blog. I think its honest, warming, and full of life.
I wish her to keep writing, and send a god bless to her and her
children.
Liala's Weblog
* a note- once
you get to her blog, refresh
the page, to see other photo's of Liala's
picture, as I refreshed the main page, it changes to different
views,
very neat indeed. As you see this photo is different from the
first...There's other great poses, and a smile I think is great
too..Enjoy friends, and meet her!

- Another
thing which needs to be changed is the Scrolling Text
- Layout:
- The blog is neatly partitioned and well
organized
- But one
problem
with the layout that stands out is that all the personal links have
been placed right at the bottom
- Background Image
- It looks feminine and suits the blog. But if it can
replaced
by a bit more cheerful and colorful image, it will make a big
difference to the looks of the blog
- Content
- It has the potential to serve as
an inspiration to others who are going through rough patches in their

Well! The very first thing a new visitor sees on a blog is its basic
design and header. Header serves the purpose of catching viewer's
attention. Header should be dicrete and well defined. But in this
particular blog the header is none of the above. Although the
description of the blog in the header is pretty apt but its a bit long.
So the header needs to be worked on. Maybe a separate background image
for the header will do the trick.
Rating : 5.5/10
Another
thing which needs to be changed is the Scrolling Text. Although
due the
clean background the text is quite readable but nowday scrolling text
is simply out of fashion.
Layout : The blog is neatly
partitioned and well organized. Specially the
'Birthday Reminder' thing is really good and useful. But one problem
with the layout that stands out is that all the personal links have
been placed right at the bottom. Its as if Laila doesn't want
other
people to know more about her life, her kids and her family. The
personal links should be placed either just below the header or just
below your pic in the right column. C'mon Laila! Let people know more
about you and your life. If a visitor knows more about the author of
the blog then a bond is formed at a certain level and the person feels
like visiting the blog more often.
Ratings 7/10
Background Image :
The background image is more about the personal taste of the author.
Its upto the blog owner what kind of Aura he/she wants to give to the
blog. The background image of Laila's
Weblog - A Journey Through Life
is nice. It looks feminine
and suits the blog. But if it can replaced
by a bit more cheerful and colorful image, it will make a big
difference to the looks of the blog. Its always nice to visit
some
colorful and happy looking blogs.
Ratings : 8.5/10
Content :
Content of the blog is one strong point. It covers variety of issues
with some really good links. I liked the one reagarding Indonesia &
Philippines being the top two most corrupt nations. Till now I used to
feel that my country INDIA holds this top rank given the level of
corruption out here. :-) Also the personal pages about Laila's life can
be quite inspiring.
Ratings : 9/10
The
only reason I wanted to write this review was to get the 500 Billion
B$. I had planned to just visit the blog, glance though it once and
write a brief account of it. If I just went by the looks of the Blog
there wasn't much abt it and it wasn't the kind of blog I wuould have
really cared to read if it wasn't for the prize money.
But when I
went through the blog and the personal links, I realized that there is
more to this blog than meets the eye. It has the potential to serve as
an inspiration to others who are going through rough patches in their
lives. The way Laila came through the tough period of her life
shows
that your life is what you make out of it. Either you can be unhappy
about what you have lost or you can be happy about what you have.
There is just one life. Live it! Be thankful about what you have! And
try to make a difference in other people's life if u can.

Blog Review: Laila's Weblog - A Journey Through Life
- Laila* is using some cool scripts such as
time and number of guests
- Laila* has a valid CSS link, but the XHTML validator detected some problems on the home
page
- At
the very bottom of the page is a linkbar with links to other internal
pages. I am guessing that it's been hidden down here because she wants
you to read her blog before you access pages like guestbook and stuff
- the only suggestion I
can make is maybe
center the photo/gallery as it is stuck up in the top left hand corner.
- There are plenty of internal links referrencing her
experiences and
all in all is quite well written
- As far
as giving it a rating, I would say it's one of the better ones I have
visited and seems to have had a lot of time and effort put into it

Blogshares Mission
Blog Review:Laila's Weblog - A Journey Through Life
You
are probably wondering what is funny about the photo above? Well
absolutely nothing. This is a photo of Laila* who has a personal
website at Laila's
Weblog - A Journey Through Life. The reason for the review is that
as a regular player on Blogshares,
Laila* has issued a mission
challenge
and the reason I've posted it in my photoblog is because my other
one(adult) wouldn't be appropriate due to the age group of some of the
players. So let us begin....
First Impressions
O.K,
I clicked on the link and the page loads fairly quickly. As soon as it
loads you can tell straight away that the author is female. Her photo
is posted and she is using a static background image with pink theme.
All in all it is quite pleasant on the eyes.
Site layout and functionality
The site is being veiwed with a Firefox
browser.
I
like the way she has the text scroll over the background, quite a nifty
idea and seems to work well and I also like how an information box pops
up when you hover over a hyperlink. Very effective!
Scrolling
down the sidebar I see that Laila*
is using some cool scripts such as
time and number of guests. At the moment there are 3 of us
viewing her
blog.
The birthday reminder is unusual as I can't say I've ever seen one
before but a good idea in itself.
Everything seems to be working in my browser and Laila* has a valid CSS
link, but the XHTML validator detected some problems on the
home page.
At
the very bottom of the page is a linkbar with links to other internal
pages. I am guessing that it's been hidden down here because she wants
you to read her blog before you access pages like guestbook and stuff.
Her photo
album
is a scrolling thumbnail gallery with the background keeping with the
pink theme. With this page the only suggestion I can make is
maybe
center the photo/gallery as it is stuck up in the top left hand corner.
Content
With a blog this size it's always hard to figure out where to start so
the About
link seems as good as any. It turns out to be an excellent read in to
the reasons Laila* blogs and gives an insight to the person that she
is. There are plenty of
internal links referrencing her experiences and
all in all is quite well written.
Moving on now to the main blog
Laila* covers a wide range of topics with everything from Jokes to
world domination. Browsing through some of the posts I get the
impression that everyone would find something to read that interests
them.
Summary
Even though Laila's blog is not
the kind I usually visit, I found it interesting none the less. As far
as giving it a rating, I would say it's one of the better ones I have
visited and seems to have had a lot of time and effort put into it.
Good Job!

Review: A Journey Through Life,
by Laila:.
As one of the more high-profile bloggers out there, I more or less have
a criteria in evaluating the quality of a weblog.
For
the most part, I put a lot more primacy on the quality of the posts in
the weblog than the layout itself. My weblog in particular reflects
this, as I have had practically the same layout in this weblog for the
past three years already, yet I still somehow managed to win last
2003's Best Philippine Weblog in Flying
Chair.
In
any case, when I tasked myself to do a review of Laila's weblog
entitled "A Journey Through Life", I saw what was a nice combination of
good content and excellent layout.
The moment you enter her
weblog, you immediately get treated to a nice flower-based pinkish
background that's a lot easier on the eyes than the usual neon colors
some other bloggers are notorious for. Moreover, the layout is
very
organized, as the right column has a very neat archive link page, and
even a calendar like the type you would see in Livejournal. Pictures used in the
blog are likewise meshed very harmoniously with
the rest of the content, as she apparently wraps the text around
the
picture when possible instead of setting the picture in a different
paragraph.
If only for the sheer ease of reading and navigation,
I would already have given an "A+" for this weblog, but as I mentioned,
I'm less concerned with how the weblog looks like than I am with what
it has to say. Given that, this is practically where her blogging
shines.
When you look at her topic list on the right side of
her blog, topics from "Annoying Stuff" to "Philippine Politics"
(Practically the same thing! Hehehehe...) to "World Domination", all
co-exist harmoniously in the same place. I was initially having
problems with the lack of headings for her posts, and then this nifty
little bit in her sidebar made things a lot simpler for me. If she
doesn't mind, I'll quote one of my favorite entries from her...
No
matter how eager and interested I am in browsing more blog sites, my
mind cannot absorb them - they look blank even I was reading them. The
reality of life bothers me, I should not really spend more time online
as there's so many things to do, so many things to fix... I will be
away for about 2 years. Planning, preparing, and instructing the kids
on what to do while I am not home. Gee, don't know really how they will
manage the house without me.
I love my kids. And, I wish the
best for them. They are all grownups now - they must learn to survive
without me - a legacy I could give them as their single parent.
The
net has been my world since 1997. There have been many nice people
online who morally supported me during difficult times, when I was
feeling so depressed. Somehow, it's time to move on, find a job and be
financially and emotionally independent. I am at the peak of life's
trials and challenges but I feel after this storm, everything will be
revealed based on God's plan.
Well... uhmmmm... I sound
emotional today because I had misunderstandings with the kids. How I
wish they would think the way I do but, I know they need time...
When
you look at Laila and see a single parent who goes through life with a
wisdom quite beyond her years, you realize that this blog is quite an
inspiration to anyone who thinks they have it bad but still happens to
have access to the Internet. Laila's take on the various things going
on around her can be rather interesting at the least, and very
insightful for the most part.
One thing that really
catches my
eye about her writing is how similar her range of topics is to mine:
Stairway To Heaven, Lovapalooza, Neopets, caring about people no matter
how bad things get, work, inspirational messages, politics, and even a
bit of Metaphysics at times. Aside from film reviews and pro wrestling
on my part and the fact that she has wonderful kids on hers, I'd almost
(but not quite) assert that our blogs are kindred souls! I hope she
takes that as a compliment. :)
Other than the fact that she
doesn't quite update her blog as often as most hardcore bloggers do, I
honestly can't find much to complain about as far as her blogging goes.
It's a fun read for the most part, and her blog is living testament to
the fact that you learn something new everyday.
Thank you for
sharing your wonderful thoughts with the online world, Laila. Rest
assured these thoughts don't go unappreciated. :)
